Remembering Stars We Lost In 2014

Heavy Metal is alive and it will be for eternity!

2014 is in its last moments and many of you perhaps were busy voting for your favourite stars and bands … etc. This is a great thing to do because of the quality of the releases, shows and festivals we had during this year and for one more time we can celebrate that we kept METAL alive and strong. But let’s remember our people we lost in 2014, those stars who fought and brought us and rock and metal. But don’t forget that any stage has three sides and some invisible men and women who worked/work to keep those stages stronger and alive, without expecting honour and fame. Today and forever, let’s remember our true heroes in the back, front and upon of the heavy metal stage, who fought and kept faith in metal until their last breath.

I am Mohsen Fayyazi, Chief Editor of Metal Shock Finland. I pray for those souls and send my condolences for their families. I also would like to wish a healthy new year for those rockers and metallers who fought and defeated the dragon in 2014 and came back to us alive. And just today, Joe Cocker, too… We have surely lost some greats in the music world this year and had some big scares with others. Many of them have helped create the soundtracks to, at the very least, our younger years, and it’s hard to imagine how that facet of life will change without their presence. We can only hope that fans and new artists will continue to draw from their inspiration and influence and help keep the memory of their time here, and the gifts they gave us, alive in our hearts and minds.
