The multi-platinum rockers EVERCLEAR will release their ninth studio album, “Black Is The New Black” in Spring 2015 via The End Records.
To commemorate the forthcoming album, Yahoo Music premiered the lyric video for the debut single, ‘The Man Who Broke His Own Heart,’ on January 30, 2015. Visit this location to watch the video.
Says ‘s EVERCLEAR founding frontman, Art Alexakis: “We are really excited… It’s an unapologetic rock record that I feel combines the best of classic Everclear with contemporary production and what I feel is some of my best songwriting in years!”
For over two decades, EVERCLEAR‘s sound has reflected the rock, post-punk, and singer/songwriter influences of Alexakis, including acts like X, The Replacements, The Pixies, Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty, and Elvis Costello. The band found success with their first three albums on Capitol Records, with “Spark And Fade”, “So Much For The Afterglow”, and “Songs From An American Movie Vol. One: Learning How To Smile”, all going certified platinum.
Continuing the legacy this summer, Alexakis will lead the charge on Summerland 2015, the fourth-annual 1990s music tour named in its inception year by Rolling Stone as one of “The Ten Hottest Summer Package Tours.”
