Rich Davenport’s Rock Show this week features interviews Joe Lynn Turner (Rainbow, Deep Purple, Rated X) and Eclipse, and is now available for streaming below.
On this week’s show, one of Rock’s most powerful and enduring vocalists, Joe Lynn Turner drops in to talk about his imminent solo acoustic tour of the UK, which starts on 1st April, billed as “An Evening With Joe Lynn Turner” (see dates at http://www.facebook.com/joelynnturnerofficial). Joe also selects tracks from the new Rainbow box set “A Light In The Black”, and gives an insight his songwriting partnership with Ritchie Blackmore and the story behind the song “Jealous Lover”. Joe also chooses a song from his friend Ronnie Dio’s tenure with Rainbow. You can also hear Joe’s thoughts on appearing at 80s festival Rewind, and his appearance on X Factor Bulgaria. The show also clears up part of the myth regarding a version of AC/DC’s “Back In Black” on Youtube, allegedly featuring Bon Scott; the track is actually from “Thunderbolt”, and AC/DC tribute album released in 1998, and features Joe on vocals, with an all star band – if you’d like find out who they are, and hear the song, tune in!
The show also features an interview with Eclipse guitarist Magnus Henriksson, who discusses the writing and recording of the band’s facemelting new album “Armageddonize”, which sees them delivering another set of killer songs in their trademark melodic Hard Rock / Heavy Metal hybrid style. Magnus chooses two songs from the new release.
You can also listen on Sunday 29th March 15:00-17:00, Tuesday 31st March12:00-14:00 and Thursday 2nd April 07:00-09:00 on http://www.totalrock.com
