PUJA (“pooh-jah”) combine elements of progressive and post rock with influences from worldwide musical traditions in pursuit of creating an original musical language. The trio have approached their sound with individual experiences to create a musical spectrum that meets the freedom of improvisation to provide catchy guitar loops, loose grooves and harmonic melodies.
At just over a year old, the Danish band entered the studio last November to provide their first offering for their five track debut E.P., “Merkabah”, released this April. With members of the band having worked with styles such as Latin, folk, jazz, afro, metal, pop and rock, Puja prove to have a fresh and vibrant sound standing out from the modern oversaturated market.
