
The Portuguese avant-garde, post metal band SINISTRO have announced details surrounding their Season of Mist debut album. The album titled ‘Semente’, will be released on April 8, and album art and an official track list can be found below. ‘Semente’ is available for pre-order at the Season of Mist E-Shop.
NPR are streaming a video for the first new track off ‘Semente’. The video for the track “Reliquia” is streaming here, as part of NPR’s “Songs We Love”.
Regarding the track, the band comments:
“Relíquia is about an old woman revisiting past memories and daydreaming about them in order to escape her present state of solitude. The landscape of her memory is her real world.”
The video director, José Dinis adds, “The vídeo was shot in a perfect sunny day where vivid colors were consumed by the melancholic tones of this song cast in a black and white screen,creating a set of perfect intimacy and sympathy with the character.”

Hailing from Lisbon, Portugal, and driven by five unique individuals from distinct art circles, SINISTRO are devastatingly heavy and graceful.
Since 2012, the band have delivered a unique take on doom rock accentuated with a soundtrack-esque approach that has given raise to their reputation as an essential name in the Portuguese art and music scene.
Despite being a comparatively new entity, the members of SINISTRO are no strangers to their native music scene. The band features prominent Portuguese thespian Patricia Andrade, as well as a music producer, and instrumentalists, who have played in bands such as WE ARE THE DAMNED, BESTA, MOURNING LENORE, and many others.
