SAVAGE MESSIAH are heading into the studio in America next week to complete pre-production for their fourth as yet untitled album at J Street Recorders in Sacramento, CA with Executive Producer Brian Wheat, founder of multi-platinum US rock band TESLA.
The band will then head into the legendary Rockfield Studios with long-time producer Scott Atkins (Sylosis, Cradle of Filth etc…) on board to oversee the sessions.
This album will be the follow up to 2014’s critically acclaimed “The Fateful Dark”, released in Europe on Earache Records, in the USA on Century Media and in Japan via Trooper Entertainment. Promotion for which saw the band share the stage on tours across the UK & Europe with AMON AMARTH, SOULFLY, HUNTRESS, HAVOK etc…And perform on the main stage at festivals such as BLOODSTOCK OPEN AIR and DAMNATION FESTIVAL. The band were also nominated by METAL HAMMER MAGAZINE for a Golden God Award in the Best new band category and awarded a grant by the BPI which saw them perform on the UK’s Channel 4 news to an audience of over 3.5 million people.
The new album promises to be another uncompromising collection of material showcasing the bands unique marriage of NWOBHM melodic sensibilities with the urgency and attitude of classic thrash metal!
Bassist Mira Slama said “We’re really excited about this new record, we’ve really gone to town on the songs, and working with both Brian and Scott is going to awesome. We’re confident this album will take Savage Messiah to another level! Think Metallica jamming with Judas Priest at an Iron Maiden tribute show organised by Testament!”
The album is scheduled for release later in 2016.
