After international success in heavy metal and classical crossover, THE COMMANDER IN CHIEF (Berit) has released a new music video for her great, new song “Dear Old Music“, from her critically acclaimed acoustic album; “Berit – Vol.1”
She took inspiration from the late -60s and early -70s when she wrote this song. It is filled with catchy hooks, smooth guitar licks and a fantastic vocal performance. It is a love song to music itself, and an acknowledgement of the sacrifices she, as a songwriter and musician, is willing to make for it. A lot of her fellow artists will recognise that reality.

The Chief is recording “Berit – Vol. 2” right now, with album number 3 and 4 scheduled for recording in August and September, to complete her collection of new, acoustic, original music – each with a slightly different theme, or vibe to it.
“Berit – Vol. 1” has received overwhelmingly positive response from fans and reviewers alike, with one reviewer hailing it as “a masterpiece of an album,” (Rick Palin, Skyfire PR) who also wrote “She is a talent of a generation. A once in a lifetime musician.” Another reviewer wrote “this is music in its purest form, keeping the listener entranced by the sheer beauty of what is coming out of the speakers. In many ways it feels as if Janis is channeling Sandy Denny. Anyone who enjoys listening to a master singer songwriter need go no further. “ (Kev Rowland, HouseOfProg radio).
The album is available on all major digital outlets; iTunes, Amazon, CDBaby, Spotify, etc and signed CDs are available from her website, commandermusic.com.
“Dear Old Music” is the 6th music video from the album.
