Spanning 59 shows, BLAZE BAYLEY‘s Tour of the Eagle Spirit was yet another big undertaking for an independent artist, doing what he does best – connecting with his fans and celebrating together British heavy metal.
Two shows at the Melodka venue, in Brno, Czech Republic, on 28th and 29th September 2019, formed the conclusion of that tour and were recorded and filmed for this live album and DVD release ‘Live in Czech’, coming out on April 3rd 2020. The setlist features many songs from the ‘Infinite Entanglement’ trilogy of albums, released in consecutive years 2016-2018, with the particluar inclusion of the more epic songs from the trilogy, such as ‘Eagle Spirit’ and ‘Together We Can Move the Sun’. The setlist also boasts selections from further back in Blaze’s solo career, as well as some favourites from his two albums with Iron Maiden – ‘X-Factor’ and ‘Virtual XI’.

Blaze has just completed an 8 date tour of Brazil, including a sold-out finale in Sao Paulo. Following that there is a series of Iron Maiden 25th anniversary festival appearances, starting with Burr Fest on 7th March in London – the event in memory of former Iron Maiden drummer, the late Clive Burr. The anniversary shows in 2020 are a continuation of Blaze’s festival performances in 2019, playing exclusively songs from his two albums with Maiden, and so celebrating the 25th anniversary of him joining the band in 1994.
During September-October there will be a European Tour celebrating the September 2020 re-issue of Blaze’s ‘Tenth Dimension’ album, followed by a UK tour in November. These tour dates are due to be announced from early-mid February.
A brand new studio album is scheduled for release in March 2021. Blaze and Christopher Appleton have already begun writing for this.
