ViciSolum Records is proud to announce that Icelandic Prog-hardrockers RING OF GYGES have inked a deal with the label for the release of the band’s upcoming 3rd album, which will be entitled “Metamorphosis“, with an expected release in the early spring of 2023.
The band’s vocalist, Helgi Jónsson remarks:
“We’re thrilled to announce that we’re joining ViciSolum’s great roster of bands! By releasing our upcoming album on their label, our music will reach further and wider than ever before. We’re immensely grateful for this opportunity and excited about the future of our band!”
With intriguing and odd rhythmic patterns, a fresh set of eyes on the 70’ies version of prog rock – and an ability to transfer this to the modern age prog metal, Ring of Gyges are combining several worlds of music in their approach towards prog perfection.
Although Ring Of Gyges are heavily inspired by the progressive rock bands of the 70’ies, their sound is much more metal-oriented and draws influences from progressive bands of the modern age, like Leprous, Haken and alike. They strive to create epic and grandiose music with unconventional song structures and vast soundscapes, often accompanied by philosophical lyrics.
