TOTAL RECALL was formed in March 2019 in Milano, IT by experienced musicians with 20+ years of touring experience in the Metal and Hardcore scene. They decided to form this band to honor the memory of a lost friend.
The band released their first full length album “Always Together” via the Australian 1054 Records in July 2021 and after a series of club shows and tour in Europe and UK they are ready to unleash a brand new 7 songs EP to the masses after signing a new deal with the German Label Empty Shells Records.
Empty ShellsRecords will release the new Total Recall EP “THE VOID” on April 21st in 2 different physical formats, Digipack CD and Tapes.
As for the Digital Release Total Recall will unleash 1 single every month on the main digital platforms starting from March 31st with “No Light”, listen to it HERE.
“THE VOID” was recorded and mixed by the producer Stefano “Orkid” Santi (Cripple Bastards, Forgotten Tomb, Lvcifyer) and mastered by Scott Middleton (former Cancer Bats) and it contains some interesting featurings such as Diego “DD” Cavallotti (Lacuna Coil/Inverno) and Tim Rogler (Dagger Threat)

“THE VOID” is the most mature, controversial, dark and aggressive Total Recall release to date. It keeps the rough attitude of the previous album “Always Together” but it will take you to an all different musical landscape enveloping you in a world of raw anxiety and self-conscious anger.

This is what the band has to say about the journey that led them to the making of this new EP:
“The songwriting for “THE VOID” was a common effort. Everything came together naturally and the new songs are surely more dark and heavy than the previous ones but at the same time they keep the same attitude. We think it’s a natural evolution of the 5 of us now working together and being on the road since for 3 years. These new tunes are reflecting our common musical influences in a more distinctive way. At the end of the day we just play what we like. We don’t focus on creating something that needs to be liked per se, we just need to like it for ourselves first. We give the 100% every time we are in the studio, in the practice room or on a stage. There is no money in this music so we don’t waste our time in trying to become a product that can be sold, we invest our time in writing the best songs we can.”
