AIRI’S Release First Single ‘Marigolds’ from Second Album

Airi’s is a five-piece rock band from Finland, founded in 2019. They play indie rock, which has been boldly influenced by 90s rock, progressive rock and big band arrangements. Now they release the 1st single ‘Marigolds’ from their 2nd album ‘Sea of Your Thoughts’ to be released in September. The single represents the fast-paced rocker section of the following album.

The song is about a toxic relationship. The narrator represents people who are in one-sided relationships in which they are not respected. However, the narrator feels a strong attraction to the other, despite everything, and is unable to leave the relationship. ‘Marigolds’ gives the listener an eventful listening experience and makes it interesting for people to hear the next releases from the upcoming album.

We are a five-piece rock band from Finland. We play indie rock, which has been influenced by 90s rock, progressive rock and big band arrangements. We want to tell stories from the entire emotional spectrum of human life, from anxiety and depression to admiration and love. Our music has been influenced by artists like Pearl Jam, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Dave Matthews Band and The Police, as well as nature, art and life.

We released our first single ”Girls” in March 2019 and since then we have toured actively around Finland, playing shows everywhere from the smallest clubs and bars to festivals and the biggest rock clubs in Finland. We love to play live and we always want to make every gig a unique experience to the audience by varying the setlist and jamming spontaneously between the songs. In 2019-2021 we released seven singles and one EP, of which the 2020 single ”Tranquilizing” got us our first radio play on Finnish national radio station YleX. Our 2021 single ”The Sky” was also played on Finnish and UK indie stations.

We released our debut album ”Kind Little One” in August 2022. The songs on the album work as standalone pieces, but together they also tell a bigger story about the main character’s life, from the very first steps to the final breath and beyond, starting already from the album cover and going all the way to the final seconds of the last track. The album was well received in Finnish media, and for example KaaosZine gave it 4/5 stars in its review. The singles ”Earthquake” and ”Headlights” were played frequently on indie radio stations around Europe, and the radio exclusive single ”Lonely Cloud” was even played in the United States, at the legendary radio DJ Rodney Bingenheimer’s show on SiriusXM.

We celebrated the release of our debut album by organizing the ”Kind Little One” charity concert in Espoo concert hall Kannusali, which raised 1500€ to Finnish Mental Health Organization MIELI ry. Mental health is one of the main themes on the album and also an important subject to us, and we want to disclose the subject in our music and at our live shows.
Our second full-length album, titled “Sea of Your Thoughts”, will be released during fall 2024.
