Following the previously released first single “Amber”, which introduced listeners to the album’s hypnotic and immersive atmosphere, “Witchcraft Island” opens another door into the strange and shifting sonic universe of “COME”.

With “Witchcraft Island”, DARK MILLENNIUM once again demonstrate their unmistakable ability to merge avantgarde death metal intensity with deep atmosphere, fluid structures and haunting emotional depth. The track unfolds like a ritualistic journey through unstable perceptions, balancing heaviness and abstraction in a way only DARK MILLENNIUM can achieve.

Musically, the song captures the band’s non-linear songwriting approach, where compositions evolve organically rather than following conventional structures. Dense riffs, eerie textures and dynamic transitions create a constantly transforming soundscape that rewards repeated listening.

Lyrically and conceptually, “Witchcraft Island” perfectly aligns with the overarching themes of “COME”, an album centered around intoxication and altered states of consciousness. Produced, mixed and mastered by Hilton Theissen at Wide Noise Studio, “COME” embraces a deliberately organic and retro-inspired analogue sound, preserving the band’s signature identity while continuing the artistic path established with “Acid River”.

A special dynamic element of the album is the interplay between drummer Andre Schaltenberg and founding member Christoph Hesse, who alternate throughout the record, adding further depth and unpredictability to the material.
