2026 marks the return of one of the most genuine and emotionally compelling acts in the Italian alternative rock scene.
Wanikiya Record/Promotion is proud to announce the official addition of Neorema to its artist roster, alongside the release of their long-awaited new album, “rumorEsilenzio”—a record that marks the band’s return after more than a decade away from the recording scene.
Neorema was formed in 2006 by Luca Toni (vocals and guitar) and Piernicola Arena (keyboards and vocals), two musicians united by the desire to develop a deeply personal artistic vision, blending the energy of alternative rock with meaningful, emotionally charged lyrics written in Italian.
Completing the lineup are Alessio Marchetti on lead guitar, together with the powerful rhythm section of Cristiano Agnani on bass and Nicholas Bernardeschi on drums.
Since the very beginning, Neorema has stood out for its distinctive musical identity: an intense and visceral alternative rock/wave sound capable of balancing tension and melody, anger and reflection, light and darkness. Their music is rooted in introspection and emotional exploration, creating dense, melancholic atmospheres often permeated by a subtle existential unease.
In 2009, the band independently recorded and released its debut album, “Solo Un Altro Colpo Al Cuore”, which received positive reviews and allowed Neorema to establish itself through numerous live performances.
Then came the silence.
In 2011, the band decided to put its activity on hold. It was a long but necessary break, shaped by personal changes, reflection, and the healing of old wounds.
But some stories never truly end.
After more than ten years away, Neorema returns with renewed artistic maturity and a stronger human perspective. The result is “rumorEsilenzio”, an album born from nearly five years of writing, sonic experimentation, and personal growth.
More than a comeback, “rumorEsilenzio” is a rebirth.
The title itself captures the essence of the record: the constant contrast between what screams within us and what remains unspoken, between the chaos of the outside world and the inner dialogue that accompanies every individual throughout life’s journey.
The new songs preserve the unmistakable soul of Neorema while embracing new shades and perspectives, proving that the band can look back at its past without becoming trapped by it. The result is a mature, profound, and deeply authentic album, where every note reflects the passing of time and the determination to transform it into art.
