There are wounds that scar the history of a land and are deeply engraved into the memory of those who inhabit it. Following the devastation suffered in Valencia due to the DANA disaster, local outfits Dragonfly have decided to transform the pain, frustration, and dignity of their people into art through their brand-new single, titled Renacer (To Reborn), released via Art Gates Records.
Far from fiction, the lyrics of Renacer dive straight into the harsh reality of those days when “the impossible arrived, making the sky fall.” With heartbreaking honesty, the song captures the initial emptiness and darkness, the indignation towards broken promises and lies, but, above all, it exalts the collective dignity of a society that “survived, conquering the mud” through its own strength. It is a recognition of the courage of ordinary people in the face of institutional neglect—a reminder that, even amidst death and despair, the beating of a wounded heart never fades if it stays united.

This profound emotional journey features an impeccable technical and artistic production. The single was produced by the band themselves, recorded by Raúl Abellán at The Mixtery studios, and subsequently mixed and mastered by Simone Mularoni at Domination Studio. The visual side, essential to reflect the magnitude of what was lived, comes to life through a music video directed by Redmist Films. The graphic design is completed with artwork by Joe Arca Design.

This track serves as the second advance single from the band’s upcoming EP, titled Laberinto, which will be released on October 2nd, 2026.
