London metalcore outfit Metasoma have shed their hard-rock veneer to emerge as a lethal, technical heavy metal machine. Their upcoming new EP, “Core,” marks the first statement from a solidified international unit, pitting British rhythmic weight against the uncompromising metal heritage of the Polish and Romanian underground.
The band have premiered the new music video “Omen” ahead of the release of new EP “Core,” which is out 2nd August 2026.

To anchor this pivot, the quintet enlisted Filip Halucha (Heinrich House Studio), the engineer behind the tectonic sounds of Behemoth and Vader, to helm the EP lead single, “Downfall.” The remaining tracks, produced by Dawid Konrad Rydz, capture a band operating at a new level of surgical precision. Together, they have forged a sound that fuses Alter Bridge’s melodic craftsmanship with the unyielding, rhythmic brutality and groove of Pantera.
Frontman Vlad’s vocal delivery is a study in controlled chaos; a caustic, edge-of-sanity rasp that collides with the technical dual-guitar attack and a concrete-heavy rhythm section. Conceptually “Core” is a pessimistic hellscape, a sonic mirror held up to war, propaganda, and the false righteousness of modern reality. This high-velocity energy is tempered by a discordant, playful homage to System of a Down, proving Metasoma can be cerebral without sacrificing their low-end groove.
The band says, “There is a specific kind of numbness that comes when unfortunate events happen in quick succession; these songs are our way of fighting that anaesthesia. Whether we are digging through the attic of mixed childhood memories or scattering the ashes of a toxic relationship, the goal is the same: to learn from the mistakes of our forefathers and do better. We’ve turned these struggles into sonic paintings, but we leave the final interpretation to the listener’s own sensitivity.”
Metasoma is a battle-tested collective that has earned its keep on the road, supporting heavyweights including Vader, Sanctuary, and Illusion, while sharing stages with Nocny Kochanek, Kabanos, and Skarlett Riot. Having headlined London’s legendary The Underworld and commanded the number one slot on Hard Rock Hell Radio charts, Metasoma returns to the heavy circuit operating at a tier where technical complexity meets purely visceral impact.
Recorded between Poland’s BaRock Entertainment Studio and Es Studio in London, the new EP “Core” was tracked to ensure every rhythmic blow landed with maximum commitment. Metasoma are no longer mirroring life; they are projecting a warning. This is a pure demonstration of resilience and the start of a much heavier, more honest era for the band.
