Align the Tide is a Maltese modern metal/metalcore band formed in September 2015. Drawing influence from a wide range of heavy music styles, the band spent their early years refining their sound before establishing the powerful identity they are known for today.
Their relentless work led to the release of their debut album, Dead Religion, accompanied by a full merchandise line. In May 2018, Align the Tide joined legendary industrial metal outfit Mushroomhead on their U.S. tour, performing across major cities including San Diego, Seattle, Denver, Minneapolis and Cleveland.
Following extensive performances across Malta, the band expanded into Europe with a tour through Germany and the Czech Republic, steadily building a loyal and growing fanbase. In April 2019, Align the Tide signed with Cleopatra Records and released Dead Religion worldwide on CD digipak and vinyl. During the pandemic, the band remained active in the studio, writing and recording their second album, Hollow, which was released through Cleopatra Records in August 2022.
In 2024, the band added another milestone to their journey by supporting deathcore giants Suicide Silence at their London show, further cementing their reputation as one of Malta’s leading heavy acts.
With a refreshed lineup, a heavier and more mature sound, and new music on the horizon, Align the Tide continue to push forward, delivering uncompromising modern metal to audiences both at home and abroad.
