FORTUNE TELLER return with “Familiar”, a powerful melodic metal track and official video about breaking free from a bond that has become a prison and choosing freedom over the comfort of what is known. Inspired by the image of a witch’s familiar – a bound creature forced into servitude – the song follows a similar figure finally breaking away, rejecting its chains and making a desperate attempt to rebuild what was once there.
Blending the epic weight of traditional power metal with modern melodic sensibilities, Fortune Teller deliver a track driven by soaring vocals, powerful riffs and an unmistakable sense of drama. Fronted by Theresa Smith (Metaprism), the band features seasoned musicians from the UK metal scene, including Ian Rockett (Shattered Skies), Grammy-nominated producer and keyboardist Meyrick De La Fuente (Exist Immortal, Vexed), guitarist Joe Jaycock (Mysticist), bassist David Billote (Exist Immortal) and drummer Tim Coulson (Godeater).

Formed in 2025, Fortune Teller have already made an impressive mark, appearing at Bloodstock Open Air 2025 and undertaking European tours in 2025 and 2026. Following their rapid rise from debut singles to major festival appearances and international touring, the band are now set to release their debut album in early 2027.
With “Familiar”, Fortune Teller continue to establish their identity as a force where epic metal, melody and powerful storytelling collide.
