Finnish death metal outfit GRAVE HEX will return on October 30, 2026 with a brand-new EP, “Domain of Foul Rebirths”, marking a brief yet commanding comeback from a band that has clearly kept its appetite for rotten riffcraft intact. Released on cassette by Night Terrors Records and on CD through Cavernous Records, the new offering arrives with a simply massive production and an arsenal of festering slime, filthy guitar work and muscular new riffs.
While retaining the physical weight and punk attitude that have defined GRAVE HEX, the EP finds the band pushing their writing into fresh territory. Groove plays a more prominent role throughout the material, giving the songs a heavier pulse, while several compositions expand their range of moods and registers without losing their grim death metal identity. The result is a concise and forceful return, packed with decay, momentum and enough fresh ideas to make “Domain of Foul Rebirths” feel like a genuine new chapter rather than a simple continuation.
The band comment:
“When writing the material for ‘Domain of Foul Rebirths’ we stuck with the style that we established during the creation of our previous record ‘Vermian Death’ while taking the musical compositions and tonality to a more complex level. We used mostly the same musical gear than before but production-wise we took a new experimental approach and the result turned out simultaneously recognizable and more refined than before.
The central themes of ‘Domain of Foul Rebirths’ revolve around the bizarre and execrable methods of self-destruction and rebirth. Each song examines beings or entities reborn from foul or disgusting ways of torment; self-disembowelment, being eaten alive, esoteric surgery and other ways trying to reach postmortal change”.

GRAVE HEX introduce the track as a concentrated expression of the musical ideas explored across the EP:
“With ‘Sewer Embalmment’ we wanted to emphasize the gnarlier mid-tempo side of death metal, with a bit more hooks and groove than a lot of our other material. The lyrics on this piece explore the concept of combining ritualistic and medical techniques in pursuit of conclusive change. We feel that this song encompasses all of the musical ideas present on the EP in a single track.”

GRAVE HEX is a Helsinki-based death metal quartet, formed in 2024. After releasing their debut album “Vermian Death” via Night Terrors Records and Cavernous Records in 2025, the band has toured in Finland and witnessed a growing interest in their putrid presentation of Finnish death metal, performing in events like Rot in Peace Metal Fest and Helsinki Death Fest. Soon after releasing their debut release, the band recorded their newest repulsive offering of death metal in the form of an EP named “Domain of Foul Rebirths”, showcasing the more mad and macabre songwriting of the band. As was with their debut, the EP was recorded and mixed by the band’s own Matti Vainionpää and mastered by Greg Wilkinson at Earhammer Studios. The cover art was once again created by the master of vile art, Slimeweaver.
