Norwegian black metal band Nordjevel are announcing their fourth full-length album, Damnous. Lead single “Unbound in Death” is one of the fastest and most intense songs on the album, driven by the demonic vocals of Doedsadmiral (Doedsvangr), deathly riffs of Destructhor (ex-Morbid Angel, ex-1349) and the blistering drumming of John Longstreth (Hate Eternal, Origin).

Damnous comes out December 11, 2026 on Season of Mist Underground Activists. Pre-order & Pre-save: https://orcd.co/nordjeveoldamnous
Nordjevel formed in Askim, Norway in 2015 around vocalist Doedsadmiral. Three albums in, the arrival of guitarist Destructhor pushed the band from a melodic, folk-inflected debut toward the denser, death-informed attack that now defines their sound. Damnous combines black metal’s hellacious speed with the crushing heaviness of death metal and slower, more melodic passages. The lyrics delve deeper into war, death, anti-Christianity and Norse mythology.
The video for “Unbound in Death was directed by Claudio Marino (@claudiomarino) and produced by Artax Film (@artaxfilm).
Catch Nordjevel when they perform new songs from Damnous on their 2027 European Tour with Svarttjern, Malphas and Unviâr. The band have previously toured with Aeternus and performed at Inferno, Wacken, Hellfest, Bloodstock, Brutal Assault and Maryland Deathfest.

NORDJEVEL was founded in the unholy year of 2015 by Doedsadmiral. He contacted Widigs (Marduk) and then Nord about this project and decided to start making music together. Bass player DzeptiCunt (ex-Ragnarok) joined forces late 2015 and shortly became an important asset to our line-up. After a quick break in the autumn of 2017, Widigs left the band to focus on Marduk. Valla (Vredehammer, ex-Abbath) joined on guitar and became a permanent member.
During the recording process of the bands second album, Nordjevel parted ways with Nord. Destructhor (ex-Morbid Angel, Myrkskog) joined as a permanent member together with Dominator (ex-Dark Funeral) during fall 2018. Nordjevel has become an unstoppable force!
The self-titled debut album Nordjevel was released in January of 2016. In March of 2017 the EP “Krigsmakt” was released exclusively as a 12″ vinyl. Later on released as a split CD/MC together with Avslut.
The bands second album Necrogenesis saw the light of day in March of 2019. The EP Fenriir was released in May of 2021 and the bands third full length Gnavhòl was released 23rd of September 2022. Recorded, mixed at Studio Fredman by Fredrik Nordström. They then went on a eueopean tour with Taake following the album. After a break in 2024, they resurfaced and recorded their yet to be unveiled 4th studio album, and went on another european tour, this time with Aeternus.
