Swiss alternative metal band Wörmdigger return with “Remain,” the second single and accompanying video from their upcoming EP, We Shall Remain, due November 13, 2026.
“Remain” captures Wörmdigger’s ability to balance weight and melody without losing their edge. The track opens with a clean, layered guitar arrangement and lo-fi drums before gradually building into its full, heavy sound, driven by the punch of a 7-string guitar.
The chorus shifts the song into a more melodic direction, featuring a pop-punk-inspired vocal line reinforced by layered harmonies. The track ultimately builds towards an epic guitar solo, whose simple, direct approach gives the closing section its impact.

About Wörmdigger
Wörmdigger was formed by brothers Sandro and Jerome Häni alongside Rico Vaterlaus, who met during their school years. Sandro and Jerome began writing music together in 2011, while Rico was playing in a punk band; when that band split in 2018, the three joined forces, merging their punk and heavy metal backgrounds. In 2017, Sandro and Jerome had opened their own recording studio, working with artists across Switzerland and sharpening the production approach that would shape the band’s early sessions with Rico. Nicolas Borner joined on drums in 2021, and second guitarist Felix Straub came on board later, rounding out the two-guitar arrangements that define the band’s current sound.
The band’s name traces back to “Würmligrübbler,” Rico’s nickname for the brothers — Swiss German for roughly “worm diggers” — which over time evolved into Wörmdigger.
