Eternity’s End has released a lyric video for “The Abyss Watchers”, third single taken from the new album “Titanblood” to be released on November 6 by Scarlet Records.
Based on the characters of the similar name from the video game series “Dark Souls”, “The Abyss Watchers” is the most progressive song on “Titanblood”, showcasing the bands early Dream Theater and Symphony X influences. The song starts very mellow with a slower accoustic version of the chorus and then builds up into a progressive metal inferno with some heavy odd meter riffing and a very long solo section with blends of neoclassical metal and jazz/fusion.

“Titanblood” will captivate the listener through fast, aggressive and technical power metal songs with soaring lead vocals, big anthemic choruses, crazy solo duels and harmonies and riffs at times bordering on technical-thrash.
The new Eternity’s End album brings back some of the more progressive and symphonic elements found on the band’s first record and combining those with heavier influences.
While not being a proper concept album, every “Titanblood” song tells about dark fantasy stories inspired by writers like Robert E. Howard, Michael Moorcock and Edgar Allan Poe, and video games like “Dark Souls”.
