HELLOWEEN are one of the most influential and internationally successful acts of the global metal scene. With the release of their 15th studio album “My God-Given Right”, released on May 29th (EU), June 1st (UK) and June 2nd (US), the pumpkin heads have further cemented their title as the founding fathers of German melodic speed metal. The band’s first self-titled EP was released in 1985, making their newest album “My God-Given Right” the celebratory marker for their impressive 30 year career.
QUEENSRŸCHE has posted part one of an in-depth, track-by-track album commentary with founding member, Michael Wilton (guitars) explaining the meaning behind each song on the group’s highly anticipated new, full-length offering, “Condition Hüman”, set for a release via Century Media Records on October 2nd. Finnish metal superstars CHILDREN OF BODOM have just released video clip of the new track ‘Morrigan’, taken from their ninth studio album “I Worship Chaos”.
Check it out here:
The video was produced by legendary, Swedish director Patric Ullaueus (EUROPE, DIMMU BORGIR, ARCH ENEMY and many more…) in August 2015.
Patric states:
“The last time I worked with COB we did great stuff together. Trashed, Lost and Strungout was Gold awarded and the Chaos Ridden Years Stockholm Knockout Live DVD was also Gold awarded. So after all these years it was a great pleasure to get to do their video again. The band decided not to be in the video. They wanted to tell the story about The Warrior Goddess Morrigan and together with the band we made this tale about a man fighting his inner demons.”
“I Worship Chaos«” will be released October 2nd via Nuclear Blast.
Mastermind Alexi states about the upcoming release:
“To me it seems like “I Worship Chaos” has a lot darker vibe in it than the previous albums and so far everyone has told me that the songs are a lot catchier this time which I’m definitely glad about. To sum it up.. it’s angry, dark and catchy as fuck. I think it’s safe to say “I Worship Chaos” is COB reborn even more pissed off.”

DEMONIC RESURRECTION frontman Demonstealer has been hard at work recording his second solo album which features George Kollias on drums. The album is due for release in early 2016. Meanwhile he has collaborated with drummer Louis Rando from IMPIETY who is based in Australia and is part of various bands there. The track also features a lead guitar solo from Demonic Resurrection axe-man Nishith Hegde who is also part of horror metal band ALBATROSS.
The single ‘Genocidal Leaders’ is being released independently on 2nd October via his bandcamp page here as well as on all digital platforms like OKListen, iTunes, Spotify etc. The track has been mixed by Demonstealer himself and mastered by Daniel Kenneth Rego.
The lyrics for the track ‘Genocidal Leaders’:
“The rule of the game is to keep them in fear An emotionless being, not swayed by tears. Spill the blood along the way, To not get caught is the name of the game. Power, feeding the greed of man Religion, a controlling master-plan Diminish, their capacity to think, Genocide, kill them without fear or remorse History, rewritten, a bunch of lies Chaos, nowhere to run or nowhere to hide Slaughter, the innocent caught in your game Lust, hungry for money, power and fame. Ruthless. Tyrant. Mass Murderer. Profiteer. Heartless. Souless. Unrepenting genocidal leader Coward. Bastard. Remorseless. Death Dealer. Heartless. Souless. Unrepenting genocidal leader Even a verdict in court can be bought It’s just a matter before you are caught Your smiling face won’t erase your crimes The blood on your body is not mine.”
The worlds loudest band release the worlds probably most requested whisky.
By now everyone knows that MOTÖRHEAD walk their own path and do things their own way. To celebrate 40 years of eardrum crushing, ‘Motörhead Whisky’ is now released in collaboration with beverage partner Brands For Fans and award-winning Swedish distillery Mackmyra.
The un-compromising attitude that characterises the band’s music is also obvious in ‘Motörhead Whisky’: bourbon-influences up front, it’s an alert and vital – almost cocky – perfectly balanced whisky with nice caramel and typical vanilla notes from American oak. October 1st sees the release of Motörhead Whisky at Systembolaget in Sweden to start with, and the band have played an active role in both choosing casks and blends to put their name on the label.
With Motörhead Whisky the band have made two top releases in one blow since the new album “Bad Magic” was just released earlier this summer and topped the charts in several countries.
Lemmy Kilminster, Motörhead‘s legendary front man, founder, gravel-voiced vocalist and bass player says: “Life is less painful with Motörhead Whisky. I may consider having a sip now and then.”
Mikkey Dee, Motörhead drummer: “We think it’s great fun to launch a whisky in collaboration with a Swedish, world-famous distillery, Mackmyra. The whisky is incredibly good, with full character and fully flavoured with a superb bourbon touch, as it’s been aged in new American oak casks. All of us in the band have been active in the production process and are very proud over the result, and are happy to now launch such a great, characteristic whisky, Motörhead-style.”
Sari Wilholm at Brands For Fans adds: “Motörhead are legends, and it has been a tough job to find the right style and type of whisky for them to stand for. Mackmyra produces world-class whisky, and the rich bourbon flavour in Motörhead Whisky showcases the amazing blending talents of Angela D’Orazio. The band has been trying casks and blends and have found a smooth whisky with a tough attitude to release. We are incredibly proud to be a part of this release.”
Motörhead Whisky suits any occasion where you’d otherwise have chosen a bourbon, as well as times where a classic scotch malt whisky would have been your first option.
French black metal newcomers, VI, featuring current and ex-members of Aosoth, Antaeus and Aborted, are streaming their full new album, “De Praestigiis Angelorum”, exclusively through Metal Sucks. Listen to the album here, before it hits the stores on September 25th on Agonia Records.
The line-up of VI is shaped by INVRI (Aosoth, ex-Antaeus) on guitars and vocals, BST (Aosoth, ex-Antaeus, ex-Aborted) on bass and Blastum (ex-Aosoth, ex-Antaeus, Merrimack) on drums. Their forthcoming full-length material bestirs within the characteristic black metal niche developed by the said bands, with the addition of expanded guitar work, choirs and subtle sample parts. VI describes their music as “extreme, devoted black metal with illuminated chaos“.
The band have completed the entire recording process of their debut album in BST Studio (Antaeus, Hell Militia, Aosoth, Vorkreist) after five long years of comprehensive work. The cover artwork has been created by Alexander L. Brown (Leviathan, Stargazer, Bölzer, Darkthrone).
“De Praestgiis Angelorum” will be available in:
– 6 panel digipack CD
– regular coloured vinyl
– limited to 100 handnumbered copies black vinyl

VI was formed in Paris (France) in 2007 as a main project of Aosoth’s bass player INRVI (who took on guitar and vocal duties in VI). With the help of his long time comrade BST (also involved in Aosoth and The Order Of Appolyon), they released a four-track EP called “De Praestigiis Daemonum” under Debemur Mortii banner. Shortly after, VI found its drummer, Blastum, who worked and still works with bands such as: Antaeus, Merrimack, Aosoth and Ritualization. Together they recorded a split EP with Aosoth, “Angels Falling Down”, in 2010. More news on their debut album “De Praestgiis Angelorum” will follow soon.
The band is recommended for fans of Deathspell Omega, Funeral Mist, Aosoth, Ascension, Svartidauði and Antaeus.
