On April 21st – aka Record Store Day – MOTÖRHEAD will be issuing a 7″ picture disc of their runaway hit cover version of David Bowie’s “Heroes”, with the art featuring a new “sketch” take on the classic war-pig. The flip-side features “Heroes (the Wacken Family Choir Mix)” with previously unheard audio of the crowd at 2017’s Wacken Festival singing along to the single as it was being officially launched via the festival PA, an emotional moment of celebration and tribute which can now be shared globally.
“It’s such a great Bowie song, one of his best, and I could only see great things coming from it out of us,” said guitarist Phil Campbell, whilst drummer Mikkey Dee added, “Lemmy was very, very proud of it, not only because it turned out so well, but because it was fun!”
MOTÖRHEAD remain one of the true premier giants of rock n’ roll, continuing to be celebrated by fans worldwide despite the tragic passing of leader/founding member Ian “Lemmy” Kilmister in December 2015. Their last studio album, Bad Magic, reached the top 20 album charts in 17 countries worldwide, including a #1 spot in Germany. Their latest album, Under Cöver, was a top 20 album in both Germany and the UK.
Another sad day for rock and metal fans, Edward Allan Clarke, A.K.A. ‘Fast Eddie’ passed away yesterday, 10 January 2018 in hospital where he was being treated for pneumonia. He was a British guitarist and best known for his work with legendary Motörhead.
Phil Campbell said, “JUST HEARD THE SAD NEWS THAT FAST EDDIE CLARK HAS PASSED AWAY. SUCH A SHOCK, HE WILL BE REMEMBERED FOR HIS ICONIC RIFFS AND WAS A TRUE ROCK N ROLLER. RIP EDDIE.“
Mikkey Dee said, “OH MY FUCKING GOD, THIS IS TERRIBLE NEWS, THE LAST OF THE THREE AMIGOS. I SAW EDDIE NOT TOO LOMNG AGO AND HE WAS IN GREAT SHAPE. SO THIS IS A COMPLETE SHOCK. ME AND EDDIE ALWAYS HIT IT OFF GREAT. I WAS LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING HIM IN THE UK THIS SUMMER WHEN WE AROUND WITH THE SCORPS…NOW LEM AND PHILTHY CAN JAM WITH EDDIE AGAIN, AND IF YOU LISTEN CAREFULLY I’M SURE YOU’LL HEAR THEM, SO WATCH OUT!!! MY THOUGHTS GO OUT TO EDDIE’S FAMILY AND CLOSE ONES.”
Metal Shock Finland sends heartfelt condolences to all the Clarke family, friends, colleagues and fans.
“Fast” Eddie Clarke 5th October 1950 – 10th January 2018, REST IN PEACE!

With their above-average charisma and talent, the musicians of SCELERATA were able to reshape MOTÖRHEAD’s classic ‘Asylum Choir’ (‘March ör Die’, 1992) without taking away the essence of one of the group’s most visceral songs.
The song was released on the Brazilian tribute to the English trio, ‘Going To Brazil… The Brazilian Tribute To Motörhead’, released by the British label Secret Service Records.
Now it is also available on the SCELERATA’s channels through the links:
The live video was recorded at Rock n’ Bira and featured direction, images and editing by Luigi Argimon, images by Guilherme Martins and production by Abstratti Produtora.
SCELERATA follow the preparations for the new album. The work will show a renewed band with a foot in their roots and eyes in the future and for this, the group is sparing no efforts and went to Los Angeles to record the drums with production by the renowned Adair Daufembach.
Recalling that the band’s latest work, the worldwide acclaimed ‘The Sniper’, has just been made available on Spotify:
