Rebooted UK thrash legends ACID REIGN are thrilled to announce the release of ‘Plan Of The Damned’, their first single in 25 years!
The release also features the image ‘Delusion Dwellers’ by acclaimed artist Laurie Lipton, ‘Plan Of The Damned’ will be launched worldwide as a digital single on July 17th 2015 on the same day the band will also launch their website http://www.acidreign.co.uk which will be the only place that will be streaming the song in its entirety.
Front man H had this to say about ‘Plan Of The Damned’;
“These are exciting times, the reaction from those who’ve heard “Plan” so far has been universally positive. I can’t wait for people to hear this, I think we’ve managed to take the traditional AR sound and bring it up to date whilst still retaining a “classic” thrash sound and style. Then again what do I know? I am too close to it to be objective, I fucking love it!”
‘Plan Of The Damned’ was recorded it in Wales at Not In Pill Studios with Martyn “Ginge” Ford and Matt Bond (Slipknot, Trivium, Bullet For My Valentine, Axewound etc…) The studio is under a boxing gym and the smell of sweat, aggression and metal is in the walls! We had a blast, it was a great experience.”
The band recently announced a UK tour with fellow UK thrashers Xentrix and Shrapnel, check out the dates below:
CROSSFAITH have today announced their forthcoming studio album “Xeno”, an album arguably unlike any other album to be released this year. “Xeno” is set for release via UNFD on September 18th.
For a taste of what’s to come, check out the title track ‘Xeno’ here:
This record has a story of hope, failure, love, betrayal and death woven into its fabric so skilfully it’s impossible to tell where truth ends and fiction begins. It’s both an escape from and examination of reality that reveals more and more truths the further it delves.
Produced by Josh Wilbur (Avenged Sevenfold, Lamb Of God, Hatebreed) and mastered by Ted Jensen, “Xeno” takes the groundwork laid by 2013’s ‘Apocalyze’ and 2012’s ‘Zion’ EP as well as the band’s vast touring history and catapults them into a whole new league.
“Xeno” is an artistic endeavour like few others, with roots in manga, anime and the furthest reaches of its creators’ minds. Frontman Kenta ‘Ken’ Koie, guitarist Kazuki Takemura, bassist Hiroki ‘Hiro’ Ikegawa, keyboardist Terufumi ‘Teru’ Tamano and drummer Tatsuya Amano are, quite simply, operating on a different level.
“This record is dedicated to everyone because we believe it will make a new phase in this music culture…
We had a bad time after we released the last album ‘APOCALYZE’. Our original guitarist Kazuki had to leave during a tour due to a cerebral haemorrhage, it was the worst thing to happen to us in our entire music career. Fortunately or unfortunately, it just affected his left hand. He is still alive, he never gave up as a musician and he wrote a couple songs for this record as well. It has bound us together as one.” Comments Ken.
He continues… “The experience of working with Josh Wilbur means a lot to us. He brought us fresh feelings and has helped us to create our best record to date. We put everything we’ve got into ‘Xeno’ and it is the most important and precious thing to us.We can’t wait to share the experience of ‘Xeno’. It is beating, it is alive! We are dedicating this record to everyone!”
Xeno is a character, two to be exact. This is an intricate story of artificial intelligence meets human desperation. The two combine to see the human Xeno, so distraught with the state of the world that he endeavours to bring creation through devastation.
“Everyone has a dark side,” says Ken. “Everybody is so hypocritical. And everything – our world – is being completely fucked up by so many people, especially the government. It’s easy to see what they do. So Xeno, the person, decides to do something big so he can hit reset and start again.”

OBZIDIAN, groove death metallers from Stafford (UK), released their 3rd album “Concrete Psychosis” on Rocksector Records, 6th October 2014, the follow-up to the highly acclaimed 2012 album “Damned Eternal”. OBZIDIAN goes back to the founder’s high school days when Baz (guitars), Paul (drums) and Jeffsy (bass) formed the basis of the band in 2001. Having added a couple of further members in the formative years, by early 2005, the line-up was stripped back to just one guitarist, Baz, whilst Matty J was added as frontman and vocalist, and the band’s current groove-laden sound was conceived.
Bringing you their own trade-mark genre “Regressive Metal,” of groove blended 90s death thrash, this is PANDEMIK.
This 5-piece Liverpool band, except for the half that is Welsh, PANDEMIK consists of front man Marc M, whose charismatic enthusiasm is enjoyed on and off stage whether through his growling vocals, or to his witty jokes inbetween songs. Mike H on drums smash it, grabs it and does one at every gig, he gets the job done with ease. Chris H on lead guitar is not just the man to look to on stage as the composed one, he also has a wah pedal. Lee J on rhythm guitar adds to the sound on stage (because 5 is more than 4) and finally Alan N on bass, adds to the comedy as he does to the set (well, hes bald) providing a good indication on what type of night you will have with these lads.
Combining elements of old school and modern thrash and groove metal with a hint of death metal, FIRENADO thrive on an aggressive sound and an equally balls to the wall live show. Blending melodic harmonies with a fast paced groove to sludgy breakdowns that will tear you a new one. The visceral riffage is accompanied by harsh old school thrash vocals and even harsher growls provided by Adam and Matt. FIRENADO are blazing a trail of destruction through the UK music scene and are here to burn it down!
With many more bands yet to be announced along with other features to the show, MOSH AGAINST CANCER COVENTRY looks to be one of the must attend events of next year.
