Blackforestmag.com have reported the story of a black metal lamb born at Easter! Check out the story:
A lamb of the breed Old Norwegian Short Tail Landrace was born on Easter Monday. Nothing special about that really, but what is special is the colour pattern of his fur. His look can somehow resemble the traditional corpsepaint look of the Norwegian Black Metal artists you might already be familiar with. The owners named the little lamb for Batlam, from the famous superhero Batman. The lamb somewhat resembles Abbath of black metal legends IMMORTAL.

The lamb lives in Vitengarden (the Science Farm), which resides in Nærbø, Norway. The farm is a part of Jærmuseet, which is a regional science centre for South-Western Norway and also a regional museum for seven municipalities in Jæren, near Stavanger. In their facilities you will find out about history, culture and industry of Jæren, past and present. And now, you can also visit Batlam!

With almost 15 years of activity, 6 full-length albums and a double live in-studio album, live shows all over Europe and a worldwide underground following, FORGOTTEN TOMB definitely deserves its cult status in the current Extreme Metal scene. With now-classic albums such as the milestones of “Songs To Leave” (2002) and “Springtime Depression” (2003), the band practically crafted and gave birth to a whole new sub-genre, now regarded as Depressive Black/Doom Metal. Afterwards it managed to evolve it, destroy it and reshape it with the highly acclaimed “Love’s Burial Ground” (2004), the controversial “Negative Megalomania” (2007) and the ground-breaking “Under Saturn Retrograde” (2011). In 2012 “…And Don’t Deliver Us From Evil” was released to critical acclaim, followed by a European tour with Enthroned and Impiety to conclude the successful year. Over 2013 the band kept promoting the new album with a headlining European run with Isole and Ereb Altor, as well as single shows and another European tour with Incantation and Ragnarok. 2014 will see the band celebrate its 15-years anniversary and release its long-awaited live DVD.

Northern Ireland’s DARKEST ERA have released a lyric video for ‘Sorrow’s Boundless Realm,’ the first track from the band’s forthcoming new album ‘Severance’ which is due for release on June 13th via Cruz Del Sur.
Guitarist Ade Mulgrew said: “It’s quite a dark song and probably reflective of how some of us saw the world around us when this album was being written. There was a lot going on in the band at the time and it certainly came out in the music. We also recorded it in the middle of winter against a backdrop that moved from being immensely beautiful on the rare occasions when the sun shined, to very bleak and desolate when the clouds rolled in. That definitely helped shape the vibe on this song. We’re looking forward to letting people finally hear it.”
Check out the video below:
‘’Severance’’ will be released on June 13th in the UK on Compact Disc/ Vinyl / Digital.
The track listing is as follows:
1.Sorrow’s Boundless Realm

3.The Serpent And The Shadow
4.Beyond The Grey Veil
5.Trapped In The Hourglass
6.The Scavenger

Despite the recently announced cancellation of the Headway Festival that was due to take place in the Netherlands in May, disappointed fans will still have the chance to see one of the bands originally scheduled to appear, as Norwegian avant-gardists VULTURE INDUSTRIES will stage their “Turning Golem” show as planned. The “Turning Golem” show is part concert rooted in the heavier segment of experimental/progressive metal and part theatre performance in conjunction with the HAPPY GORRILLA DANCE COMPANY, and it will be the last time that fans will be able to see “Turning Golem” in Western Europe. The show will take place at P60 in Amstelveen on the 3rd May and VULTURE INDUSTRIES will include extra songs at the end of the performance to make it a special evening for those who were hoping to attend the festival.
With a career spanning 10 years and with over 100 shows under their belts, VULTURE INDUSTRIES‘ live performances are well known both for their technical skill and the eccentric and somewhat manic antics of frontman Bjørnar E. Nilsen, whose on-stage weirdness has garnered a multitude of fans for the band over the years. VULTURE INDUSTRIES released their third full-length album, “The Tower” on Season of Mist at the end of last year and recently announced that their second-full length album, which was released on Dark Essence Records in 2010, will appear as a deluxe vinyl edition on Blood Music in 2015.
Later in May VULTURE INDUSTRIES will hit the road with DORDEDUH and BLUTMOND on an eleven date tour that will take in countries such as the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary, Greece and Slovenia. As well as tickets being available from the usual ticketing agencies, special personalised tickets designed by the Romanian artist Costin Chioreanu, will be sold exclusively through the webshops of the individual bands. Each ticket will feature the name of the purchaser and will be signed by all the bands. Routing for what will be known as the “Branches” tour as follows:
21 May: Modra Vopice, Prague (CZ)
22 May: Melodka, Brno (CZ)
23May: Tirish Pub , Banska Bystraica (SK)
