, keyboard player for Indian metal veterans DEMONIC RESURRECTION
issued the following statement today via the band’s official Facebook page.

“14 years is a long time.
In Jan 2003 I joined the band when everyone advised against it.
Ridicule followed. Friends tried to break up the newly formed line-up. We even had stones and cigarette butts thrown at us at Independence Rock.
In 2005 we released what is now called a landmark release in the history of Indian Metal – A Darkness Descends. We were changing perceptions. Album after album we pushed our musical and even geographical boundaries by playing at some incredible festivals both in India and abroad. Despite multiple line-up changes, the one thing that remained constant was that rhythm and synth were always in sync.
The upcoming album.
To be honest, it sounds very good. But the creative differences are far too great for me to ignore. And I cannot have that on my conscience. Which is why after 14 glorious years, I’ve decided to step down as an active full-time member of the band.
At some point I would like to release some music on my own. I wish the band more success. They are not only talented musicians but amazing people too and if they ever need my services to perform live again, I’ll always be available.
Thank you and goodbye.
I’d like to say a special and heartfelt thank you to Demonstealer for providing me with the opportunity to be a part of this awesome journey. The times I’ve spent with the band have been the best. But at this point I believe this is the right thing to do. I hope the fans understand my decision and continue to support the band.
Cheers and stay demonic

The METALDAYS Festival will present you a friendly and absolutely relaxed atmosphere, perfect for you to just forget about all worries and enjoy your most likely best holiday ever!
The festival is located at Sotocje, which lies inbetween the two mountain rivers called Tolminka and Soca. METALDAYS has two “festival-owned” beaches for you to relax on. But the two rivers aren’t the only reason Sotocje. Tolmin is located only approx. 65 kilometers off the coast of the Mediterranean Sea, which really gives you that holiday feel. Also the road you’re travelling on will lead you through the Alps, a scenerie that will astonish both full grown metalheads and families with children alike. The METALDAYS area is also part of the Julijske Alpe National Parks, and the river Soca is one of the cleanest in Europe.
DEMONIC RESURRECTION frontman Sahil Makhija, better know as Demonstealer has launched a crowd funding campaign for his sophomore solo album, which is currently untitled. He aims to raise a sum of 4500$ over a period of 40 days through the newly launched platform http://www.fairfundr.com
Commented Demonstealer, “I’ve had this album in the works now for a long time and the songs have been ready for a while but given that I had albums to release from Workshop (my comedy rock band), Reptilian Death (my death metal project) and the new Demonic Resurrection album I barely had any time to breathe let alone put this album out. Now I finally have some time and I’m looking at a mid 2015 release of the album. The album is going to have 9 tracks with 3 bonus songs for the crowd funders and musically it’s different from what I’m doing with my other projects. It’s a lot more straight from the heart kind of stuff and I have some amazing musicians who will be gracing this album with their performances.”
