Renowned Finnish melodic death metal masters INSOMNIUM are thrilled to announce the “Beyond the Shadows of the Dying Sun” 10th Anniversary Tour, celebrating a decade of their legendary album, Shadows of the Dying Sun. This landmark tour will take the band across 13 European cities, delivering an unforgettable performance of the album in its entirety with anthems like While We Sleep, Primeval Dark, and Ephemeral, alongside other evergreens. This will be one of the few opportunities to see INSOMNIUM in its original album line-up on stage again, with both Ville Friman and Markus Vanhala on guitars.
As very special guest, OMNIUM GATHERUM will join the tour with an anniversary set of Beyond performed in full length. Released in 2013, this 6th studio album from the Finnish virtuosi is considered a landmark in their discography, featuring fan favorites such as New Dynamic, The Unknowing , and White Palace.
To round up this epic combo, Texas-based highflyers HINAYANA are joining the line-up for 13 unmatched evenings of melodic death magnificence.
“’Shadows of the Dying Sun’ holds a special place in our blackened hearts. It marked a pivotal moment in our career and pushed us up to a new level,” comments INSOMNIUM’s Niilo Sevänen. “We are excited to bring this album to life on stage in its full glory. Some of these songs have never been played live before.”
OMNIUM GATHERUM’s Jukka Pelkonen adds: “The OGs are kicking the year 2025 off with a delightful deliverance by bringing our beloved ’Beyond’ album for you to enjoy live with us. We are very proud to share the stage again with our brothers in Insomnium, who will do the same with their ’Shadows of a Dying Sun’! So be brave, adventurous and come and witness this anniversary extravaganza!”
Portland, Oregon’s Unto Others have spent their seasons in the abyss and arise from the other side with streams of harsh light breaking through their darkened gothic and classic metal motifs.
Last month, Unto Others made their long-awaited return with a new single and music video for Butterfly. Now, they reappear with Raigeki雷撃— which premiered on Sirius XM Liquid Metal — and arrives alongside an electrifying music video directed by Zev Deans. Of the song, Franco comments: “‘Raigeki’ is about The Kamikaze, the Floating Chrysanthemum, the last gasp of a conflict.”
The band emerged in 2017, turning heads with the Don’t Waste Your Time EP (under their previous moniker Idle Hands), followed by the beloved 2019 full length Mana and 2021’s heavy hitting Strength LP.
Album of the year contenders DÅÅTH today reveal their latest video, “Deserving Of The Grave.” The track comes off the band’s latest full-length — and first new studio output in fourteen years — The Deceivers, out now on Metal Blade Records.
The Deceivers is at once a devastating reminder and giant leap forward that showcases the technical wizardry and brutal intensity that the Atlanta, Georgia-bred band is capable of. Band founder/guitarist Eyal Levi has overseen an overhaul of the lineup, though importantly DÅÅTH still features force-of-nature vocalist Sean Zatorsky, who has fronted the band since 2007. Together they are now joined by Kerim “Krimh” Lechner on drums, Jesse Zuretti on orchestration and guitar, Rafael Trujillo on lead guitar, and David Marvuglio on bass.
The Deceivers is monstrously heavy but beautifully orchestrated, blessed with melodies that will haunt anybody fortunate enough to hear it. The nine tracks were produced by Levi, with Andrew Wade doing vocal production, John Douglass engineering, Jens Bogren mixing, and Tony Lindgren mastering.
Guest guitar solos are contributed across numerous tracks by Jeff Loomis (Nevermore, Arch Enemy), Mark Holcomb (Periphery), Dean Lamb (Archspire), Per Nilsson, (Scar Symmetry, Meshuggah), Spiro Dussias (Platonist), and Dan Sugarman (Ice Nine Kills), with renowned video game composer Mick Gordon (Doom Eternal) contributing sound design and synth to “Purified By Vengeance.”

Comments Zuretti, “‘Deserving Of The Grave’ was a track that started with music I came up with in my head whilst flying home from somewhere. I got home and immediately jotted down the idea and sent it to Eyal, which he turned it into an entire song. The funny thing is, Eyal gets my music brain so much that he pulled all of the Danny Elfman/Gothic-era influence out of a singular idea and made an entire epic come to life. And what’s even crazier is that Danny Elfman literally wrote the theme for Tim Burton’s Batman in 1989 the exact same way: on a plane. This track is everything Eyal and I love about dark and moody classical/cinematic music fused together with DAATH’s sound. The golden seal of the track is our friend Jeff Loomis ripping one of my favorite solos I’ve heard in more than a decade.“
Notes Levi, “‘Deserving Of The Grave’ comes from a really dark place. The day it was conceived, Jesse was flying somewhere and got a strain of divine inspiration, wrote the initial idea on an airplane, and sent it to me. Simultaneously I was flying back home from witnessing the death of a loved one, and received this great idea in my email, while in a really bad mental state. Upon returning, I got to work immediately and what you’re hearing is what flowed out of that terrible place. I think it’s the darkest song on the album, and the vibe on it is real.
“Besides that, this song has a special place in my heart because our old buddy Jeff Loomis graced us with one of the best guitar solos I’ve heard in my entire life. And it was a long time coming. Fun fact, but Jeff and DAATH almost worked together back before the hiatus. It came so close to happening and it was one of my biggest musical disappointments. All I can say is that it was worth the wait. His solo in this song is the stuff of legends.”
Adds Loomis, “I had a great time recording the solo for ‘Deserving Of The Grave’ for the new DÅÅTH album The Deceivers! Eyal came up with a very dark background that made things easy for me when it came to putting the paint on canvas for a fitting solo. Thanks again for letting me be a part of such a musical masterpiece.”

The Deceivers earned the #11 spot on Current Hard Music Albums chart upon its first week of release! Elsewhere, the record took the #14 position on the Top New Artists Albums chart, #39 on the Current Rock Albums chart, and more! See additional chart positions below.
DÅÅTH began their journey in 1999 and stayed busy for just over a decade before its 2011 hiatus. In that time, the band released four studio albums – Futility in 2004, The Hinderers in 2007, The Concealers in 2009, and their self-titled LP in 2010. Tours with Slayer, Nile, Cattle Decapitation, Dark Funeral, Cynic, Dragonforce, Goatwhore, Chimaira, Dying Fetus, and Devildriver followed. DÅÅTH also landed a coveted spot on Ozzfest playing before tens of thousands of fans in outdoor amphitheaters across the US, in addition to the infamous and long-running metal tour Summer Slaughter.
After twelve years on hiatus, DÅÅTH found their ideal new home at Metal Blade, signing to the label and wasting no time creating new music, cover songs (Death‘s “The Philosopher” and Morbid Angel‘s “Where the Slime Live“) and reissuing previous albums. The first new song from the revitalized DÅÅTH, “No Rest No End” (released ahead of the album in February 2023), features guest solos by Spiro Dussias and now-DÅÅTH member Trujillo, who impressed Levi so much while guesting on the track that he was invited to join the band.

‘Scorched Desire’ single is a collaboration between Polish bassist and guitarist Patryk Szymański(known for his work with Polish bands Transtime and Art Music, as well as his collaboration with Andrzej Citowicz in the project Citovitz And The Fireflies of February), and German vocalist Mike Gerhold(formerly the vocalist of the band Dirty Minds, who worked with legendary German band Bonfire as a backing vocalist for many years and currently performs with the bands Rockhead and Mike Gerhold and Friends).
Between 2018 and 2020, the two musicians had the opportunity to collaborate on the international music project T.A.C.E. Project.
“I have the great comfort of being able to create and record music in my own home, while also having the great fortune of meeting so many fantastic musicians in my life with whom I can create music virtually that is played on smaller and larger non-commercial radio stations literally all over the world (…) The times have changed, where you don’t need Abbey Road Studios or to travel between – in our case – Germany and Poland to make your musical dreams come true (…) All you need is an iPad and internet access. Mike and I understand each other almost without words. In the case of ‘Scorched Desire’, which is a simple song in terms of structure and harmony, it is Mike’s vocals that make this song special. It sounds like it’s straight out of the ’80s,” says the song’s author, Patryk Szymański.
“Our collaboration began with the T.A.C.E. Project. The then producer and project member – Dirk Arnicke – spotted me on the radio and invited me to collaborate on the project. When I heard the songs, I fell in love with them. That’s how our musical journey together began, which continues to this day. It’s amazing,” adds Mike Gerhold.
The song “Scorched Desire” is a culmination of all the musical influences of the musicians who created it. Stylistically, it refers to melodic hard rock characteristic of bands like Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, and Europe. The song was produced by German multi-instrumentalist and producer Andre Zappo Wollner, who works closely with Mike Gerhold and signs his production work as Zorg X.
The recording features: Mike Gerhold – vocals, backing vocals Patryk Szymański – electric and bass guitar, drum programming Andre Zappo Wollner – keyboards Production – Zorg X
DOOMRAISER have completed work on the new album “Cold Grave Marble”, which is scheduled for release in the next few months on Time To Kill Records. “Cold Grave Marble”, the sixth DOOMRAISER full doom length, is a frozen view in the darker side of life: Death, the Omega of our earthly dimension. The album is made up of raw riffing seasoned up in heavy, dark and gloomy dreaming atmospheres, and explores a plethora of styles with different sounds and solutions. The songwriting approach is rougher than before, experimental, suggestive, still preserving the classic DOOMRAISER characteristic sound.
The whole concept lies upon a personal portrayal of Death, the Infinite Void, the Great Absence, the greatest experience in matter of Chaos and disruption of reality. It’s a journey exploring the end of the biological cycle and man’s awareness of the ancient idea of “having to die”, an extreme but natural event belonging to the inevitability of time.
The album was recorded in Rome, Italy, by the skillful hands of Danilo Silvestri and mastered (just like the previous album “The Dark Side of Old Europa”) by Claudio Gruer. The record features important guests such as James Murphy (Death, Obituary, Testament), Flegias (Necrodeath) and Mario Di Donato (The Black) among others.
Watch for further album details, singles and more news on other upcoming DOOMRAISER activities to be posted shortly.
