Can you present Kevlar Bikini in a few words? How did you form a band consisting of musicians with an enviable experience?

Matija Auker: Sure I can. Kevlar Bikini is 4 headed supped up machine that was assembled in Zagreb, Croatia, in March 2010. As of how we became to be, it’s  regular story about guys looking for a singer for a band, but, what came  before, doesn’t matter, at least not for this story. What came after is what  counts.

1.Hello Petr! First of all congratulations for your last work “Pleasure trip”.  Here we are to talk about it, but, first, could you, please, introduce yourself to all the Metal Shock’ readers?

Ok, so I am a Czech guitar player, composer and leader of rock-instrumental group named G-Bod. I am also guitar player in group named Leaders!, which is basically band of one of the best singers of Czech republic – Kamil Strihavka. He is the most famous performer of Jesus in Czech version of rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar.

2.And now let’s introduce your bandmates too!  How about the name ‘G-bod’?

G-Bod band is a rock trio. There is Jakub Homola on drums and Martin Hronek on bass. Name G-Bod is G-Spot in Czech language. But it doesn´t exactly mean g-spot.  I don’t know if it is clear and understandable, but is simply my G(uitar)-point(very important thing of my life)

PAIN, the Swedish industrial metal outfit led by musician and producer Peter Tägtgren, will release its seventh album, “You Only Live Twice”, on June 3 via Nuclear Blast Records.

Regarding the album’s cover artwork, Tägtgren previously said, “I really wanted something ‘Nightmare Before Christmas’ meets ‘Alice In Wonderland’ kind of feeling but with our mascot, the Painhead in it. And Heile created that after what I wanted. And he did it in his own way. It really has this kinda Tim Burton feel to it. It will be really crazy with a big backdrop. We also gonna do some inflatable stuff with our Painhead. Its gonna be our Eddie, like IRON MAIDEN has it.”

On the topic of the CD’s title, Tägtgren stated, “[The title] has nothing to do with James Bond. I am sure I will hear this for the rest of my life! The title song is mainly about people struggling.

“Don’t you wish you had another chance? Don’t you wanna live twice? Like you’re always jealous of other people. How good their life is or they won on lotto or anything. It’s about jealousy in general towards other people that surrounds you. About not being satisfied with what you have. Trying to create this fantasy world that you can live twice kind of…”

Swedish ‘Supergroup’ Tramp Releases Debut Album

TRAMP, the new Swedish “rock ‘n’ roll super group consisting of well-known rock gurus from bands such as THE HELLACOPTERS, CAPTAIN MURPHY, HENRY FIATS OPEN SORE and THE TURPENTINES, has just released its debut album, “Indigo”, in Sweden via Killer Cobra Records. A wider European release is scheduled for May 2.

The band’s lineup is as follows:

* Markus Karlsson (THE TURPENTINES) – Vocals
* Stefan Brainstrum (HENRY FIATS OPEN SORE) – Electric Guitar
* Johannes Borgström (ex-CAPTAIN MURPHY) – Electric Bass
* Robert Eriksson (MIDLIFE CRISIS, ex-THE HELLACOPTERS) – Drums

Musically TRAMP “weave together decades of musical heritage,” according to a press release. “The melodies and harmonies echoing of the ’60s, the attack in the performance has more of a ’70s touch, and some big gestures could be from the 80’s. Furthermore, they dig into their own story and weave everything together into something that lives and breathes in its own own time. It sounds quite British in a head-on collision with the U.S. and then ’60s psychedelia next to pure garage rock. Like New York punk rockers on a Magical Mystery Tour. Or a DAMNED who hack out some BEACH BOYS songs. And sometimes as THE WHO in their best pop moments.”
