TURMION KÄTILÖT are currently out on the road across Europe playing to packed out arenas in support to fellow Finns NIGHTWISH. Today the absurdist industrial metallers have released a brand new video for their new single ‘Kuolettavia Vammoja’.

MC Raaka Pee comments on the new single:
“In this song, it’s trauma that introduces itself to the listener, and this is how it sounds when it’s given a voice.
Heart rates are raised to 135bpm by just the thought of it.”

TURMION KÄTILÖT Announce New Album “Omen X”, Reveal Video for First Single ‘Isä Meidän’

Finnish disco metal powerhouse TURMION KÄTILÖT have announced their tenth studio album Omen X for release on 13th January through Nuclear Blast Records.

To mark the announcement the band have released the video for the album’s first single, the thumping industrial metal anthem ‘Isä Meidän’.

In regards to the new single, the band comments:
“The body of the song was born in one night. You could feel the danger in the song, and dangerous it became. The tunes followed each other until I noticed that five hours had passed after the last chord died. The song became a pleasant stimulus for my brain. It goes from black metal moods to brisk metal rave hypnosis, without forgetting the delicate middle parts and big chorus. With the right equipment, the pace can be deadly.” – MC Raaka Pee

“I don’t really know what I would embellish, or even explain about Isä Meidän. I wrote straight and direct words that hardly leave any questions. I didn’t want to beat around the bushes. TURMION KÄTILÖT: New Album “Global Warning” Out Now

Finnish techno metal act TURMION KÄTILÖT decided that no matter what, their 9th album will come out as planned – and now is the time. “Global Warning” was unleashed yesterday through Nuclear Blast and is available on all streaming services as well as in CD and LP formats.

The members of Turmion Kätilöt are very pleased with “Global Warning”.

“This is a dangerous album. F*cking great. We’ve created a snake that will slither its way into the souls of many”, MC Raaka-Pee ponders.

“This is the prize we’ve all been waiting for. I can’t wait to perform this to our fans. This album sounds exactly like we wanted it to – no compromises were made”, Shag-U adds.

The album release would not be complete without one last single – which is definitely the most outrageous one of them all.

“‘Naitu’ is like your life on camera. Nothing censored. Nothing fake. Just pure, naked and raw animal-like lust and passion that we all think and feel, yet try to deny. This song is about that delicious ‘something’ that makes your horny body dance”, Shag-U explains.

“Is there somebody here who wants pretty, polished pictures? We think all people deserve the truth”, MC Raaka-Pee adds.

As can be gathered from the band members’ comments, “Naitu” is a perverted track, and it comes with an equally twisted video – watch at your own risk here:

“The band told me they want to attract a new audience and the video should reflect that. I figured the most potential new crowd could be found in kids, so we put some animal characters and funny events in this video. Isn’t that what they like? Right?” says Rauli Ylitalo, the director of the video.

The Finnish tour of Turmion Kätilöt has been postponed until next autumn, and their concert in the Helsinki Ice Hall will take place on the 19th of September. The band is very sympathetic to why everything had to be cancelled or postponed – after all, they were just about to give a global warning of their own.

“It’s not the end of the world, but you can see it from here… Even though it’s unfortunate that the gigs had to be postponed, our warning is global. No disease can stop it, and the warning doesn’t grow old. We will come when the world is ready, and clearly it isn’t just yet. It’s ok. We can wait”, Shag-U says.

“I’m glad about the restrictions. I’m one of the people who are at increased risk, so I wouldn’t even want to be performing in a big event during times like these. We will all come together again when it’s safe. Sure, this will all cost a lot of money, but if somebody thinks it’s too much, I’d really like to hear what’s the price for a human life”, MC Raaka-Pee concludes.

The world’s biggest metal label, Nuclear Blast, has signed Finnish industrial metal stars TURMION KÄTILÖT. The Germany based record label will release the group’s next album which was quietly recorded during the last couple of months. The record, entitled »Global Warning,« will be released on April 17, 2020 and according to the band it sounds “f*cking great.”

The »Global Warning« cover art was once again designed by Herra Spektaakkeli  (Tuomas Rytkönen) and photos were shot by Toni Salminen. More details on their new record will be unveiled soon…!

Once the album is released, TURMION KÄTILÖT will play a few select dates in their homecountry Finland, followed by a very busy summer of festivals. The band will embark on an extensive Finnish tour in autumn 2020, followed by a massive European tour supporting NIGHTWISH. All dates can be found below!

TURMION KÄTILÖT Launch Beard Oil ‘Viimeinen Voitelu’, Part of Proceeds To Children’s Charity Organisation

Finnish Industrial metallers TURMION KÄTILÖT (Midwives of Ruin), Partawa and Mad Viking Finland Beard Club are making history by launching their own beard oil that is the first band-inspired beard oil that is brought to market in Finland. The beard oil, which is called ‘Viimeinen Voitelu’ (Extreme Unction), is sold as a limited edition that consists of 1000 bottles. 5€ of the proceeds of each sold bottle will be directed to The Association of Friends of the University Children’s Hospital.

”We have more or less hairy guys in the band. Personally, I’m such a masculine man that I’ve been using beard oils and other elixirs for a long time now. I was already familiar with the products of Partawa and I appreciated the good quality of them, so embarking on the project was an easy decision to make. We expected to be involved in the development process of the product and in making sure that the quality is good even though the product is promoted with the band’s name as well. It happened and even though we had some heated conversations that led to reaching the end result, it is excellent in terms of both composition and scent. It really is just like an unction that you wish to get on your last day”, tells Bobby from Turmion Kätilöt.

According to Bobby, the choice of the charity organisation was clear.
”Deciding that The Association of Friends of the University Children’s Hospital would get some of the proceeds was easy. If one’s mind starts to go off balance as a child, it is hard to fix it later in the adulthood. A little help goes a long way and unfortunately a lot of people are in a great need of it these days.

The owner of Partawa, Mika Poikonen, was eager to start the co-operation right away.
”When we heard about this opportunity to get to make a beard oil together with Turmion Kätilöt and Mad Viking Finland Beard Club, our group was full of spontaneous enthusiasm – it was awesome! We have all heard the music of Turmion Kätilöt at some point in our lives. Our enthusiasm was increased by the facts that some of the proceeds would go to charity and we would get to have an impact on the Finnish society.”

According to Mika, the product aligns with the style of the partners.
”Immediately upon hearing about the project, we got the idea that the product needs to be particularly sturdy and ”heavy”. The oil was named Viimeinen Voitelu and its scent consists of pine, juniper and, quite surprisingly, turmeric. The scent has a dark tone to it but the oil itself treats both the beard and the skin because we’ve put jojoba, argan and vitamin C in it. Viimeinen Voitelu is certainly the most masculine one of our products and it’s the perfect match for men who love metal music.”

”The demand for beard products has increased in general and we have been making natural and high-quality beard products that are inspired by Finland’s rugged nature. By combining the magnificent brand, Finnish labor and natural oils, we have gotten men to become interested in beard care in a whole new way”, tells Mika.

Mad Viking Finland Beard Club is a social club for men with mustaches and beards that was founded in 2017. The members are united by their willingness to serve and helpfulness especially towards the poor. The association wants to have an impact on the society by ensuring that children and the young have a better future.

The president of the association, Sami Orava, shares details about the origins of the band idea.
”Some time ago, a conversation about a band-inspired beard oil, the proceeds of which would go to charity, began in our group chat. We kept talking about it until we had the idea and we started pondering which band would be interested in joining us. Turmion Kätilöt was brought up and we contacted them. They were all in right away and it was incredible to get such a high-quality and famous rock band to join us. Partawa was an easy choice as the producer as we were already familiar with their products and liked them. We had also been collaborating with them since the founding of our association. If this product becomes successful and we get to donate some money to the charity like we wish to, we could imagine continuing to do this with different bands and different charity organisations in the future.”

BEAST IN BLACK Announce European Headline Tour 2019

Up and coming metallers BEAST IN BLACK recently finished their first festival season, incl. appearances at well-known festivals such as Tuska Open Air (FIN), Norway Rock Festival (N), Nova Rock (A) and Sabaton Open Air (S) amongst others. The band with former BATTLE BEAST guitarist Anton Kabanen previously toured as support for RHAPSODY and BEYOND THE BLACK in support of their debut album »Berserker«, which was released on November 3rd, 2017 through Nuclear Blast Records. In addition, the group also played two own (sold out!) headline gigs in Finland as well as a number of Japanese shows with TURISAS amongst others. To round off their »Berserker« touring cycle worthily, BEAST IN BLACK will embark on another European trek supporting Finnish symphonic metal giants NIGHTWISH at the end of the year.

But before the aforementioned journey starts, the quintet is pleased to announce great news for early 2019: BEAST IN BLACK will be touring as headliners in support of their upcoming, yet untitled sophomore record. Totalling 15 shows, the tour will guide the band through 6 different countries. Special guest will be Finnish electronic crossover band TURMION KÄTILÖT. Further details can be found below.

Helsinki-based five-piece BEAST IN BLACK was founded by Anton Kabanen soon after he had parted ways with BATTLE BEAST in 2015. By the end of 2015 the band had played their first gig, where they opened for NIGHTWISH.

»Berserker« was produced by Anton in his Sound Quest Studio. Its cover artwork marks the return of the collaboration between Anton and Roman Ismailov who was the original illustrator and graphic artist for BATTLE BEAST.

»Berserker« maintains the style of Anton‘s previously composed works, which include the first three BATTLE BEAST albums. Influenced by 80’s metal bands such as JUDAS PRIEST, MANOWAR, W.A.S.P., BLACK SABBATH and ACCEPT, the record contains all the elements of a great heavy metal album. “It’s very straightforward, catchy, powerful and occasionally mixed with some symphonic influences,” Anton adds. Lyrically, Kabanen also continues his previous style: “Many songs such as the title track, ‘Beast In Black’, and ‘Zodd The Immortal’, are strongly influenced by the Japanese manga and anime »Berserk«.”
