The Commander-In-Chief is about to kick off her first UK TOUR after stunning audiences in London and Birmingham with her incredible skills. Her tour will include venues in London, Bournemouth, Stoke-On-Trent, Leeds, Northampton, Nuneaton and Selby. More dates will be confirmed over the next few days. She can be seen LIVE at Camden Barfly in London on June 20th.
Sensational Norwegian 7string guitarist/singer/songwriter in Metal “The Commander-In-Chief” has checked in with following statement:
“I will be featured in the world’s number 1 Metal and Hard Rock Magazine, REVOLVER MAGAZINE, in their next issue, out July 10!!! And hold on guys…..I will be featured in HOTTEST CHICKS IN METAL!!! They did a proper serious interview with me and I had tons of fun talking to them! The feature will also be the world premiere of my new, official promo picture – which nobody has seen yet! As an unsigned artist this is a dream come true! Everybody wants to be featured in Revolver and I am honored and very excited about this!!! It will be my first printed press in the U.S. and what a way to start!!!“
She has been confirmed for the prestigious Bloodstock Metal Festival, UK, where she will play the 2nd biggest stage, The Sophie Lancaster stage, on August 10th.
OPETH mainman Mikael Åkerfeldt has recorded some vocals in collaboration with legendary GENESIS guitarist Steve Hackett. Åkerfeldt is featured on a re-recording of the classic mega-epos ‘Supper’s Ready’ from 1972’s Foxtrot album. Further details about the upcoming release will be revealed soon.
In other news, due to popular demand, Åkerfeldt has recorded eight further shows for Swedish national radio. De Bortglömda Mästerverken” (The Forgotten Masterpieces) is a series of shows where Mikael flips vinyl on air, playing mostly obscure progressive and psychedelic rock. The show is being produced by Andreas Matz for Radio P4 and will start airing on July 15th. You can also catch it online at Sveriges Radio.

Brazilian metallers SEPULTURA have announced that they are going to continue with a long series of concerts throughout Europe for supporting their most recent work “KAIROS”.
Derrick Green (vocals), Andreas Kisser (guitars), Paulo Xisto (bass) and Eloy Casagrande (drums) kickstarted the tour with an amazing show at Rock in Rio-Lisboa alongside french percussion group Tambours du Bronx, recently performed at Sweden Rock Festival and are confirmed to play Wacken Open Air, considered the most important heavy metal event in the world, with a very tight stage act.
So far, the tour has over 40 dates confirmed. The run started on the last July 25th in Portugal and went through Greece, Sweden, France, Czech Republic, Switzerland and now moves on to Italy, France, Spain, Belgium, Austria, Romenia, Hungary, UK and ends on August 18th in Germany. It is worth mentioning that the band will take a quick break to play ORION MUSIC + MORE festival, event promoted by Metallica, which happens on July 24th in Atlantic City (USA). Century Media Records has recently announced “Few Against Many”, the new album by melodic Metallers FIREWIND, lead by guitar wizard and Ozzy Osbourne band-member Gus G., continues to encounter great acclaim all over the globe and has now also entered the charts in the band’s native Greece on position # 42. Previously, “Few Against Many” and entered the official sales charts in Germany at position # 90.
Additionally to the already released digital single of the album’s opening track “Wall Of Sound”, FIREWIND can now proudly reveal that also special CD-single version is being released with the current issue (RUSH frontcover) of the biggest hardrock/metal magazine in Scandinavia, Sweden Rock Magazine. This single is now exclusively available with the magazine as Digipak-CD edition including the album tracks “Wall Of Sound” and “Few Against Many” as well as a previously unreleased demo version of “Wall Of Sound”.
“Few Against many”, was mixed by Jason Suecof & Eyal Levi at Audiohammer Studios (Trivium, All That Remains, Death Angel, etc.) and mastered by Alan Douches at West West Side Music (Mastodon, Hatebreed, Symphony X, etc.). The iconic album’s artwork was once again created by FIREWIND’s longtime partner in all design matters, Gustavo Sazes / www.abstrata.net (Arch Enemy, Angra, Dream Evil, etc.), who has been working with the band since the release of the album “The Premonition”.
