Brazilian metallers ALMAH have recently participated in a famous Brazilian online TV show Showlivre. Edu Falaschi (vocals, guitars), Marcelo Barbosa (guitars) and Rafael Dafras (bass) with invited keyboardist Thiago Mineiro played acoustic versions of 5 songs that represent all 4 albums of ALMAH discography.

TRIPTYKON‘s second album, “Melana Chasmata” will be released on April 14 (Europe) and April 15 (North America), 2014, through Century Media Records/Prowling Death Records Ltd. Century Media has released a collector’s gatefold 7″ vinyl single (800 copies in black vinyl and 200 copies in transparent red vinyl), which is already sold out from CM Distro.
The single contains two album tracks – ‘Breathing’ and ‘Boleskine’ House – and can also be purchased in Germany/Austria/Switzerland from today (and next week for the rest of Europe) on as digital single via the usual outlets and from Monday on via iTunes as part of the album pre-order.

Swedish heavy metal act SABATON has recently revealed the different track lists of the band’s upcoming album, “Heroes,” which includes all the bonus tracks that will be available. Among them are three cover versions of METALLICA, BATTLE BEAST and RAUBTIER. As previously announced, the album will be released on May 16, 2014 via Nuclear Blast.
The band comments the decisions like this:
METALLICA – ‘For Whom The Bell Tolls’
“All of us are old fans of METALLICA. The choice of the song was difficult, but we all could agree on that one. As an addition, ‘For Whom The Bell Tolls’ was the first heavy metal song ever performed on a stage by Pär.”
BATTLE BEAST – ‘Out Of Control‘
“BATTLE BEAST was our secret guest at our latest Sabatoncruise and we all enjoyed watching them perform their songs live. We thought we wanted to support young and upcoming bands and decided to do a cover of them.”
RAUBTIER – ‘En Hjältes Väg ‘
“RAUBTIER are our brothers from the north of Sweden. We have played together countless times and in the past, and Thobbe used to be in this band. At a special concert in 2012 Joakim performed this song live together with RAUBTIER and it awoke the idea of doing a cover-version. Seeing to the song title it was also a natural choice for our latest album “Heroes”.

IRON KNIGHTS is a British Heavy Metal outfit. Although the roots of the band can be traced back to 2008, the real change that has lifted the band to new heights took place at the end of a European support tour with VICIOUS RUMORS in May/June 2013. From the original IRON KNIGHTS, bassist Paul ‘Beam’ Robbie and drummer Larry Paterson were the sole survivors. Their respective musical journeys have been linked since they formed their first band in New Zealand in 1983: AFTERMATH. Since then they have appeared in numerous bands, both in New Zealand and the UK where they eventually relocated at separate times over the decades that followed. Amongst the various musical adventures that followed, they were both members of UK bands Metalhead and Chokehold, after which Larry spent years with former IRON MAIDEN vocalist Blaze Bayley.
IRON KNIGHTS have gone through various band member changes, but now have an established lined up. They have toured the length and breadth of the UK, as well as accompanying VICIOUS RUMORS on their European Tour. On 14th September 2013, the band played in Andernach, Germany, as part of the Swordbrothers Festival, followed by a support show with ULI JON ROTH and DIAMOND HEAD.
The band played 8 UK shows during February and are scheduled for more shows starting on April 30th in order to promote the forthcoming album. More information can be found at this location.
METAL SHOCK FINLAND is proud to premiere the song ‘Blind‘ by IRON KNIGHTS. It is from the band’s upcoming self-titled album, which is set to be released on May 5th via Metalbox Recordings.

UK Punk legends THE EXPLOITED are set to release the Special Editions of “Beat The Bastards”, “Fuck The System” and “The Massacre” on March 14th 2014 via Nuclear Blast.
The releases are being re-issued with a raft of bonus content, including a bonus DVD of live footage (“Beat The Bastards”) and bonus tracks (“Fuck The System” & “The Massacre”).
