Time To Kill Records is thrilled to announce the addition of Italian crust / grindcore squad HORRID HUMAN CONDITION to its roster.
Formed in the summer of 2022, the band emerged when Alessandro (vocals), Claudio (guitar), and Marino (bass) joined forces with Carlo (drums). Drawing from their parallel experiences in projects like laCasta and Nigredo, their synergy was undeniable. Within months, the band had written 14 powerful tracks, debuted live in March 2023, and recorded their material by December of the same year.
The name HORRID HUMAN CONDITION reflects the band’s visceral critique of modern society. Their music captures the existential and social despair of a world where systems designed to govern and sustain instead serve the wealthy and powerful—leaving the majority to bear the consequences. Themes of disillusionment with money, religion, morals, and politics dominate their lyrical landscape, exposing these as mere instruments of control.
Musically, the band channels this intense message through a raw fusion of crust punk and grindcore, genres perfectly suited to convey feelings of chaos and urgency. Expect a sonic assault of sharp, high-pitched guitars, sludgy, acidic basslines, machine-gun-like drumming, and vocals that scream with desperate energy. Their live performances are a cathartic and visceral experience, where the band forges an unbreakable bond with their audience.
With a debut full of fury and conviction, HORRID HUMAN CONDITION is poised to leave their mark on the extreme music scene. Time To Kill Records is proud to support their vision and looks forward to bringing their raw energy to a wider audience.
Stay tuned for new music and more updates on the band’s upcoming debut album.

Descending from the abyssal depths of the darkest recesses, THIS GIFT IS A CURSE emerges once more to engulf the light on their latest single, Ascension. The track serves as the harrowing finisher to their forthcoming album, HEIR, set to annihilate the earthen plane.
Witness the raw, relentless storm of sound that is Ascension, a track that delves into the arcane spectrums of the human soul. Swathed in the ominous embrace of the Overlook Studio in Gävle, Sweden, and meticulously conjured by producer William Blackmon, Ascension is an invocation, summoning the darkness that dwells within us all. Magnus Lindberg’s mastering at Redmount Studios in Stockholm ensures that every note of this sonic incantation reverberates through your very core.
Drenched in the ethereal haze of occult resonance, Ascension is an esoteric rite of passage. The track unleashes a torrent of blackened riffs, cascading over relentless blast beats that echo the primordial chaos from which all darkness is spawned. As Jonas A. Holmberg’s vocals tear through the soul with a visceral intensity, the listener is enveloped in a ritualistic trance. Laura Morgan’s haunting chants weave through the aural onslaught, providing an otherworldly contrast that beckons the spirit to rise amidst the ashes. This is post-apocalyptic liturgy, a sonic crucible where mortals transcend into the realm of shadows, guided by the relentless force that is THIS GIFT IS A CURSE.
Tracklist: 1. Kingdom (5:43) [WATCH] 2. No Sun, nor Moon (8:17) 3. Void Bringer (9:17) 4. Death Maker (4:26) 5. Passing (2:17) 6. Seers of No Light (5:52) 7. Cosmic Voice (6:51) 8. Vow Sayer (6:00) 9. Old Space (8:42) 10. Ascension (9:17) [LISTEN] Total runtime: 1:06:44
There’s an abyssal depth reaching far below – where light is devoured by shadow, and silence is torn asunder by cacophony. Down below, there thrives a beast most foul and majestic. This beast, known among the living as THIS GIFT IS A CURSE, has clawed its way through the bedrock – leaving a trail of desolation and awe in its wake. As 2025 dawns bleak and uncertain, the beast prepares to unleash its latest apocalypse, ‘HEIR.’
Since its infernal birth, THIS GIFT IS A CURSE has been a harbinger of the end times for the conventional and the mundane. A cataclysmic fusion of black metal ferocity, sludge-laden doom, and a haunting ambience straight from the depths of the nether, has torn apart stages and souls alike. Now, with ‘HEIR,’ they stand poised to cast the world into a new age of darkness.
THIS GIFT IS A CURSE were founded in Stockholm by a fateful chance meeting of vocalist Jonas A. Holmberg and drummer Johan Nordlund in late summer 2008. The duo soon recruited guitarist Patrik Andersson and Lars Gunnarsson on bass. In March 2010 the Swedish four-piece entered the legendary Sunlight Studios (ENTOMBED, KATATONIA, TIAMAT, DISMEMBER and many more) and recorded their self-titled debut EP with the aid of producer Tomas Skogsberg. ‘This Gift Is A Curse’ (2010) was well received in the underground and led to the band being invited to perform many shows in their homeland and Europe. During the second half of 2011, THIS GIFT IS A CURSE recorded their first full-length ‘I, Gvilt Bearer’ at a secret location north of Stockholm. Their producer Magbjork (MELEEH, CHILDREN OF FALL) moved his studio to this specific location to allow the band to unlimited record possibilities. Released in 2012, the album caused a buzz that reached beyond the underground and quickly sold out its first pressings. More touring followed during the next two years. In 2014, THIS GIFT IS A CURSE teamed up with Magbjork once again to record ‘All Hail The Swinelord’ in an abandoned house close to Stockholm.
After the release in 2015, a few Scandinavian and European tours followed before the band decided it was time to go back into the void to write new music. This process started with the recruitment of a second guitarist in order to push the sonic experience even further. David Deravian, hailing from steel town Eskilstuna, joined the cursed ranks of THIS GIFT IS A CURSE in 2016, adding fresh creative blood and new musical input to the sonic pot. As the new material took form, the band not only booked studio time with the great W. Blackmon of the Overlook Studios in Gävle (SE), but also kept their roots by recoding parts of the album at Norra Begravningsplatsen in Stockholm. Including producer MAGBJORK to the whole process once again to get the right ‘grit and grievance’ into the sound. Afterwards, mastering was done by none other than Magnus Lindberg (CULT OF LUNA, TRIBULATION, ALCEST etc).
THIS GIFT IS A CURSE defies the transient trends of music, instead choosing to carve its path with the bones of the fallen. Their forthcoming album, ‘HEIR,’ is a relentless pursuit of the extreme, a mosaic of human suffering and the dark beauty that lies within. As the album prepares to sear its mark upon the world, one thing is clear: There will be no heirs to the throne of darkness that THIS GIFT IS A CURSE occupies. The crown is theirs alone, forged in the fires of creation and destruction, a beacon for those who dare to walk the shadows.

Swedish hard rockers Crazy Lixx unveil their new single and official video “Hunt For Danger”, taken from their highly anticipated new studio album, titled “Thrill Of The Bite” and set for release on February 14th, 2025, via Frontiers Music Srl.
Guitarist Chrisse Olsson comments on the new track: “I’m really excited about our next single and music video release for “Hunt For Danger”, from our upcoming album “Thrill Of The Bite”. To me, this song is the perfect result of drawing inspiration from all the music I grew up with and all those great bands that influenced me and my musicianship from an early age. A song with a vibe from a time and an era that really made a mark, shaped my life and still inspires me to make music to this day. When I first pitched this song to the band I was fairly convinced that they would like it just as much as I do and I’m extremely proud of the result and everybody’s contribution in making this into what I feel has the potential to become a real Crazy Lixx classic. An obvious choice for a single in my book, and I’m glad the label and the band agreed. This is a song that is sure to take you back in time.”
Vocalist Danny Rexon expresses his enthusiasm for the new album, by saying: “So stoked to finally reveal the news of our upcoming album, set to be released in February 2025. Even though we did release some new songs on the compilation album earlier this year, it has been quite a while since the fans got a proper full length studio album with all originals, but now we can finally announce that that time is soon upon us. And dare I say that this album is one really worth waiting for? Personally, I’m really proud and happy with how it came out and I think that the response to the two singles we’ve put out so far (“Call Of The Wild” and “Little Miss Dangerous”) gives us a clear indication that our fans seem to agree.”
Rexon also comments on the first single: “And just to sweeten the good news even more here we are with another banger from the upcoming album, called “Midnight Rebels”. Probably one of the happier and more party-friendly songs on the album, but still with that darker lyrical theme (which you might have guessed by now, no?). Happy listening, hope you guys enjoy it!”
Since the latest studio album release with Street Lethal back in the winter of 2021, fans have been eager to hear new Crazy Lixx material, and even though the compilation album “Two Shots At Glory” (2024) gave the listeners some covers, fresh takes on old songs and a couple of new tracks, this next studio album is what they have all been dying to hear.
“Thrill Of The Bite” promises to elevate Crazy Lixx’s rock music to new heights. Following the success of their previous album “Street Lethal” (2021), this new record is packed with powerful anthems, memorable riffs and melodies, electrifying guitar solos, and the larger-than-life sing-along energy that fans have come to expect from the band, delivering what is already shaping up to be one of the bands strongest works in their 20+ year career.
The album features tracks that highlight the band’s ability to balance their nostalgic, sleaze-metal roots with their love for the 80s and early 90s, drawing inspiration from the flamboyant heavy metal and movies of that era alike. Crazy Lixx have teased a few tracks, suggesting a turn to a heavier, riff-driven style while maintaining their signature melodic choruses and glam-influenced attitude.
With “Thrill Of The Bite”, Crazy Lixx are poised to continue their reign as one of Sweden’s premier retro hard rock bands, solidifying their legacy in the global scene while pushing their creative boundaries even further.
Crazy Lixx are a Swedish heavy metal / hair metal / hard rock band hailing from Malmö, Sweden formed in 2002. Known for their energetic performances, catchy hooks, and an unapologetic revival of the glam metal sound from the late 80s, Crazy Lixx has become a flagship of the New Wave of Swedish Sleaze Metal. The band draws inspiration from acts like Def Leppard, Mötley Crüe, Alice Cooper, RATT, Skid Row and Guns N’ Roses, creating a perfect blend of melodic hard rock with modern production values and a keen eye (and ear) for 80s and 90s nostalgia.
Crazy Lixx first gained global recognition with their breakthrough albums “Loud Minority” (2007), “New Religion” (2010) and “Crazy Lixx” (2014), including hits like “Blame It On Love”, “21 ‘Til I Die”, “Hell Raising Women” and “Girls Of The 80s”, who have all become favourites among the fans and classics in the modern hair metal community.
The band’s lineup has evolved over the years, but it is led by founder and frontman Danny Rexon, whose vocals, songwriting and music production skills are the driving force behind the group. Alongside him, the band currently consists of bassist and creative sidekick Jens Anderson, guitarists Jens Lundgren and Chrisse Olsson, and the newest addition in the form of drummer Robin Nilsson.

Aevum, the gothic metal band from Turin, Italy, released their new album Kaleidoscope last Friday via DarkTunes Music Group. Alongside the album, they’ve unveiled a gripping new video for their haunting track “Fog of Fear“.
With its powerful symphonic dark metal sound, “Fog of Fear” pulls listeners into a world where reality fades into despair. Featuring soaring vocals, relentless riffs, and chilling atmospheres, the track captures the essence of dread with evocative lyrics:
“All I am is just a fog of fear. I’m crawling, falling, choking, dying.”
The video brings the song’s tension to life, blending theatrical energy with a dark, twisted tale of magic and torment. Step into the fog and embrace the fear, or risk being consumed.
