SKAM release their new video for single ‘Selfish Friend’, out now, new album ‘From The Depths’ set for release on 29th November.
“Selfish Friend is about that one friend everyone has. You keep this person around even though they repeatedly let you down and only think about themselves. Yet you still keep them around!”
Formed in 2011, SKAM are a hard rock power trio band from the middle of England. They have a reputation for delivering no nonsense, gutsy, classic sounding contemporary British rock music. To date, the band have independently released 3 albums. ‘It’s Come to This’ (2011) and ‘Peacemaker’ (2014) were released to critical acclaim and the band established themselves as a live force to be reckoned with.
A drive to innovate inspired SKAM to release ‘The Amazing Memoirs of Geoffrey Goddard’ (2017), a concept record based on the diary entries of a time travelling RAF pilot. The songs were described as ‘gritty anthemic rockers’ by Classic Rock Magazine and the album received a number of 5 star reviews from the UK Music press. Lead single ‘Take it Or Leave it’ was voted as ‘track of the week’ by Classic Rock Magazine and has since been included on Earache Records ‘New Wave of Rock N Roll’ compilation vinyl. In 2021, broke into the Official UK Rock Charts with their ‘Intra’ EP hitting number 6. Part 2 ‘Venous’ went one better making it to number 5.
On 22nd November, the band returns with new single ‘Selfish Friend‘, taken from upcoming release ‘From The Depths’, their most eclectic and ambitious album yet. On this album they have pushed themselves into unknown waters, experimenting with everything from Metal to prog, to Acoustic balladry. The album is due for release on 29th November.
UK Tour dates, remaining shows: 23rd Nov – Rebellion, Manchester 29th Nov – The Musician, Leicester 30th Nov – The Patriot, Newport 1st Dec – Planet Rockstock, Porthcawl

STILL DUSK have released a new lyric video ‘Sugar’ taken from their upcoming “Chronicles Of Dystopia” album.
Still Dusk’s new song, “Sugar”, explores the modern addictions that define us and keep us stuck. With an intense and revealing lyric, the track addresses the way we lose our true identity as we fall prey to image, acceptance and constant validation. The addiction is not limited to substances or material goods but extends to patterns of behaviour, people and even social media, where we seek to project an ideal self. We show that we are well, while often being emotionally unstable and lonely.
Still Dusk captures our age’s obsession with “perfection,” the deep need to be liked, and the obsession with creating superficial relationships that conform to social norms. “Sugar” challenges each listener to ask themselves if they truly feel alive in a world where everyone is struggling to survive. The song is a strong critique of the culture of compromise and manipulation of human relationships, urging us to ask ourselves if we really want to continue living in a reality that is full of lies. It is an anthem against addictions which can arise from anywhere but the bottom line is that people end up there thinking they will forget.
Nils Ivar Martila, his cousins Emil and Niklas Martila and Bjarne Olsen are back in studio recording the new song for a January release. The new song is titled FROM THE LOST AND FAILED. This is the same lineup as the previous release, DEAD BIRDS FLYING.
We are psyched about the progress and how the song is turning out. We have made a couple of studioreports you can watch. The first one is drums, bass and guitars. The second is vocal recording. We hope you enjoy!
Psychedelic rockers GHOSTWOUND are gearing up to drop their new and self-titled album on December 6 via Go Down Records. Hailing from Milan, this four-piece band boasts a deep-rooted connection to the Italian underground psychedelic rock scene. Their truly unique style features dreamlike vocals, broken funk grooves, cosmic modular synths, and, above all, complex layers of fuzz and reverberate guitars with hallucinatory acid blues solos. In ten songs, the richness and variety of the atmospheres that follow one another are made homogeneous by a colourful and genuine sound. Each single track conceals a long series of inspired intuitions and precious details, that reveal themselves little by little with every listening, elevating the album to the purest peaks of creativity.
For those who love the evolution of the Hard Psych sounds from the late 60s, the Kraut Rock weirdness of the mid-70s, the super funk breakbeats of James Brown, and also the vocal harmonies of the 90s UK Shoegaze, you’ll be able to find something surprisingly flavourful in the band’s new record!
In support of the upcoming album, the band has unleashed a brand new music video for the track ‘Funky Robot’, which you can watch here:
GHOSTWOUND about the track: “This track emblematically condenses the encounter/clash between Ghostwound’s groovy soul and the great progressive and psychedelic breath that expands into their expressive universe. Funky Robot vibrates vertiginously at a broken and falsely mechanized rhythm, above which stand out, imperiously, suggestive melodies in a fairy-tale tangle between voices, synth, and fuzz guitars. A gem of progressive guitar space funk to enjoy with mind and body!”
GHOSTWOUND‘s s/t album will be coming out on Dec 6 via Go Down Records and is available for pre-order here: Pysical / Digital

MASTER BOOT RECORD will be touring in support of their HARDWAREZ full-length, released last month via Metal Blade Records.
HARDWAREZ explores the duality of technology. The LP, which follows 2022’s Personal Computer and 2020’s Floppy Disk Overdrive, comes from the expansive mind of multi-instrumentalist and MBR mastermind Vittorio D’Amore (aka Victor Love), an Italian producer who emerged from the underground as an anonymous project in 2016 to create the soundtrack for the cyberpunk point-and-click adventure game VirtuaVerse. The project seamlessly evolved into a standalone entity, releasing over fourteen albums in just a few years.
To create HARDWAREZ, the technologist worked by live streaming his desktop on YouTube while composing new music. Everything is programmed via MIDI. Intensive touring augmented with live musicians helped Love make the decision to include real guitars to achieve a massive sound and boost the enhanced frequency spectrum of the instrument. Additionally, the tracks feature sections without overdubs and with updated drum samples and a new mixing approach, creating a more vibrant and punchy drum sound.
HARDWAREZ, earned the #3 spot on Billboard’s Current Electronic Albums chart upon its first week of release. Elsewhere, the record took the #11 position on the Current Hard Music Albums chart, #17 on the Top New Artists Albums chart, and more! See additional chart positions below.
