Italian Symphonic Death Metal pioneers Genus Ordinis Dei have just announced a new single entitled Eternal Cycle which features Xandria vocalist Ambre Vourvahis on vocals. The single will be released via all platforms worldwide on November 15, 2024 via Eclipse Records. Just a few days after, the band is heading out on tour supporting Xandria and Sirenia. The eleven-date European Tour begins on November 19 at Hydrozagdka in Warsaw (Poland) and wraps up on November 30 at De Pul in Uden (Netherlands). See below for dates and more info.
Eternal Cycle is the second release from the band since their full-length album & metal music video series The Beginning which was released on December 8, 2023 via Eclipse Records. The track was produced, recorded, mixed, and mastered by Tommaso Monticelli at Sonitus Studio in Crema, Italy. “Eternal Cycle,” is a powerful symphonic metal track that blends mythology and emotional depth. Featuring the captivating vocals of Ambre Vourvahis from Xandria, the song reimagines the myth of Persephone and Hades, focusing on the birth of the seasons and the eternal cycle of life, death, and rebirth. Musically, the song is a whirlwind of orchestral grandeur, staccato rhythms, and intense riffs. Vourvahis’s ethereal vocals provide a stunning contrast to the growls of the band’s lead vocalist, embodying the duality of light and shadow, life and death. The interplay between the symphonic elements and the metal foundation captures the tension and passion at the heart of the myth. Pre-Save now at https://ffm.to/gnsetr
“When I first heard Ambre from Xandria, I immediately knew we would do great things together” says guitarist & vocalist Nick Key. “Collaborating with Ambre was an incredible experience; the tones of her voice, her attention to detail, and her great openness and professionalism impressed and inspired me. The intertwining of our voices is something magical, and I’m sure the audience will feel and experience this wonderful journey just as we did… with immense emotion.” Vocalist Ambre Vourvahis continues, “I’ve been listening to Genus Ordinis Dei for many years. When I first heard their song Salem which featured Cristina Scabbia, I thought how great it would be to collaborate with them one day. It seems I may have manifested that! I feel extremely honored that they asked me to contribute to such an amazing song, one that truly aligns with my musical tastes. Nick’s harsh vocals are incredible, and the contrast between our voices fits perfectly with the story of the song.”

Time To Kill Records is proud to announce the reissue of “Murderworks”, the acclaimed third full-length album by Finnish grindcore legends ROTTEN SOUND. Originally released in 2002, “Murderworks” stands as a pivotal chapter in the band’s career and in the grindcore genre itself, blending relentless speed, brutal precision and raw aggression that has influenced countless artists and earned the band a devoted following worldwide. Fans can now experience this essential record in a fresh light with new digipak CD, double gatefold LP (black, red, marble), MC, and digital editions, all available starting January 3rd, 2025.
A new lyric video for “Doom” is now available HERE.
“Murderworks” was celebrated upon its initial release for its ferocity and uncompromising sound, setting a high standard in extreme music. The album showcases ROTTEN SOUND at their most intense, with an unyielding energy that captures the essence of grindcore’s chaotic power with hints of razor-sharp death metal. This reissue offers both longtime fans and newcomers the chance to appreciate the album’s original fury, restored and ready to assault ears once again.
The band commented:
“‘Murderworks’ is the third full album of Rotten Sound and is also considered as the stepping stone for the band, which also got us finally touring internationally. We had been doing more crusty stuff at first on ‘Under Pressure’ and earlier releases. Then we added elements of death metal on ‘Drain’ and finally started blasting more than ever on ‘Murderworks’. ‘Murderworks’ was created mostly during 2001, when Keijo already lived in Tampere while others still were based in Vaasa. Keijo had moved already in 1997, but on 2001 he was rehearsing more than before with others, who were also spending a lot of time together at the rehearsal place. That extensive rehearsing made the release and entire band tighter than before, which probably has a lot to do with how the album ended up being”.
The BRIAN SETZER ORCHESTRA is a swing band formed in 1992 by Stray Cats frontman Brian Setzer. Their debut self titled album was released in 1994, and was followed up in 1996 with Guitar Slinger. In 1998, for their breakout album The Dirty Boogie, the group covered Louis Prima’s “Jump, Jive An’ Wail”, which originally appeared on Prima’s 1957 album The Wildest! and found themselves with a runaway hit! The album’s success led to a massive tour which ran from fall of 1998 through the summer of 1999, including a performance at the infamous Woodstock 1999. The Dirty Boogie’s success was capped off with a Grammy win for Brian’s version of “Sleepwalk” for Best Pop Instrumental in 1999. That would just be the first Grammy that Brian would bring home with the Orchestra.
With the success of the recent Guitar Slinger reissue from the Brian Setzer Orchestra we are now excited to announce for the first time on vinyl since 1998, The Dirty Boogie. Remastered on 180g vinyl in two amazing Limited-Edition Colors and in a special gatefold jacket. There are only 300 of the Multi-Color Splatter and 700 of the Seafoam Melt. The Dirty Boogie is the third release from the Brian Setzer Orchestra. As Setzer states about this time, “When the swing revival came, it put me on that wave and it was a great thing for me because it got the sound out there and all of a sudden, I turned around and oh my gosh, everything was just huge.” The live tour set featured several Stray Cats hits including “Rock This Town” which got a big band re-working for The Dirty Boogie, along with many other tracks from the new album which were made for the stage.
Watch “Jump Jive An’ Wail” here:
In addition to Prima’s “Jump Jive An’ Wail”, you’ll hear the Grammy Winning version of Santo & Johnny’s classic “Sleepwalk”, the rockin’ title track “The Dirty Boogie”, “Since I Don’t Have You” by the kyliners, “This Cat’s On A Hot Tin Roof”, and Bull Moose Jackson’s “Nosey Joe” featuring a brilliant guest appearance by Gwen Stefani of No Doubt, to name just a few of the incredible songs on this modern classic. This is the second in a series of three reissues coming from Deko Entertainment with Guitar Slinger already released and Vavoom! coming in early 2025. Gaerea are waking into a new era. The Portuguese masked sensations are no longer strictly a black metal band. With Coma, they’ve surfaced to the top of extreme metal. Their critically acclaimed new album racked up more than 1 million streams within 24 hours of landing on Spotify.
“Coma, the quintet’s fourth full-length, not only finds them sharpening their craft”, FLOOD gushes, “but it also makes a strong claim as 2024’s best metal record, regardless of subgenre”.
To lay claim over their new domain, later this month, Gaerea are touring North America with Zeal & Ardor and Zetra. Today, the band are treating the vortex societies in the U.S. and Canada with a tantalizing glimpse of their striking live performance. The new video for “Coma” includes never-before-seen footage from this year’s treks to China and Taiwan, though the title track off their new album also shows just how far Gaerea have come.
Though produced by their trusted confident Miguel Tereso, Coma broadens Gaerea’s signature sound by taking it in two seemingly opposed directions. The title track is one of the heavier songs on the whole album. Concussive drum fills open the floodgates for a venomous groove that shakes its scales like a dragon. But its tortured screams and piercing melodies reveal a mysterious phantom pain.
“This is the song that explains the whole record, basically”, the band’s unnamed vocalist told Apple Music. “I was thinking about how to write a song about someone in a coma, but they’re still conscious of it. Because if there’s no consciousness, there won’t be a song. So, this is a bit like waking up in a dark room and seeing the whole word around you, but you can’t really figure out if it’s reality, if it’s memories, if it’s your imagination, or just your lost dreams in life. It deals with that anxiety of trying to figure out if you’re really here or not, or if this is the afterlife – and whatever the afterlife might look like”.

Behind black shrouds of obscurity and desolation, the performers of GAEREA deliver their odes in cascading maelstroms of aggression and beauty. Emerging from the age of pandemic to whatever awaits humanity next, the dark horde remains on the frontlines of the next generation of extreme metal. With an EP and three albums to their name, Gaerea has rapidly distinguished themselves from the thousands of bands toiling away in the underground. Brewing their cauldron of sound from a recipe of pounding black-metal blast mixed with a touch of harrowed, reflective longing, many devotees of the darkened arts have flocked to their banner. With the emergence of third full-length album Mirage, those numbers certainly grew.
Gaerea met a challenge when releasing their second album during the pandemic, the aptly titled Limbo, to excellent world reception. In the meantime, they found the total suspension of interactive life as it was previously known to be the perfect breeding ground for further creation and making.
Sizzling with ambition from day one, Gaerea may present one unique face to their audience, masked and enshrouded, but the truth is they have not remained changeless.
As their previous album name Mirage suggests, the inability to trust what our senses are telling us could be construed as one of the album’s central themes. Rather than constrict their art to mythological references or anti-religious tropes, Gaerea instead plumb the depths of the human experiences of isolation and suffering.
Just two years since Mirage was released, Gaerea is here, erupting with intensity, casting forth black ashes over the world yet again.
Their latest release, Coma, has finally surfaced, marking a pivotal shift. From this point forward, everything changes. It’s time for Gaerea to bridge the gap between underground metal and the elevated realm they’ve attained. With Coma, Gaerea emerges from the underground scene, ascending towards a permanently lasting position at the head of the table.
An emotional gateway to a dark black metal scene, a guide to salvation, pain, despair and letting go. Moving up, into the blackness that is above. Gaerea is the answer, the only answer.
Within ‘Coma’s’ ten tracks lies an individual narrative, each with its own tale to unveil. Collectively, they blend nuances of aggression, tranquility, solitude, and fervor.
Boasting a superior production that threads the needle between caustic and clarity, Gaerea yet again admit their loyalty to producer Miguel Tereso of Demigod Recordings for the production of Coma. Together they created the birth of ‘Coma’, the new era for metal mankind. Distinguishing themselves ever more so, the Vortex handpicked their artist Nathan Lorenzana with a clear assignment to create their mesmerizing cover artwork. Months of hand drawing the image with a ballpen lead to this masterpiece which dipped his name into ‘Coma’.
The beauty of Gaerea lies in the directness and simplicity found within their florid tapestry of extremity and aggression. Whether it is in the less-polished aural dynamite of Mirage, or in the lustrous textures of Coma, Gaerea is building a mighty edifice of metal. With talons dipped in the inky blood of black metal and scraped across the flesh of human suffering, Gaerea is leading a charge into the future of darkness, and all those who find beauty and power in the dark side of existence would do well to take heed.

“Danger” highlights Kodeseven’s signature retro-futuristic sound, blending gritty, futuristic synths with pounding drums, creating a frenetic rhythm that pulses with energy. In combination with SILVR SIREN’s ethereal vocals. Bursting with fierce intensity and electrifying beats, this single delivers a sonic experience that takes listeners to the heart of an electro-dystopian landscape with a rebellious anthem. Will you fight?
Kodeseven is the electro-cyberpunk side project from songwriter/producer Ars Nikonov who many fans would know from his synthwave project Fury Weekend. SILVR SIREN is a singer, pianist, and DJ/producer who was a child of EMO, currently trying to find her place in the world of Bass music.
SKAM are set to release new single ‘Selfish Friend’, on 22nd November, taken from their new album ‘From The Depths’ coming out on 29th November.
“Selfish Friend is about that one friend everyone has. You keep this person around even though they repeatedly let you down and only think about themselves. Yet you still keep them around!”
Formed in 2011, SKAM are a hard rock power trio band from the middle of England. They have a reputation for delivering no nonsense, gutsy, classic sounding contemporary British rock music. To date, the band have independently released 3 albums. ‘It’s Come to This’ (2011) and ‘Peacemaker’ (2014) were released to critical acclaim and the band established themselves as a live force to be reckoned with.
A drive to innovate inspired SKAM to release ‘The Amazing Memoirs of Geoffrey Goddard’ (2017), a concept record based on the diary entries of a time travelling RAF pilot. The songs were described as ‘gritty anthemic rockers’ by Classic Rock Magazine and the album received a number of 5 star reviews from the UK Music press. Lead single ‘Take it Or Leave it’ was voted as ‘track of the week’ by Classic Rock Magazine and has since been included on Earache Records ‘New Wave of Rock N Roll’ compilation vinyl. In 2021, broke into the Official UK Rock Charts with their ‘Intra’ EP hitting number 6. Part 2 ‘Venous’ went one better making it to number 5.
On 22nd November, the band returns with new single ‘Selfish Friend‘, taken from upcoming release ‘From The Depths’, their most eclectic and ambitious album yet. On this album they have pushed themselves into unknown waters, experimenting with everything from Metal to prog, to Acoustic balladry. The album is due for release on 29th November.
