Born from the frost of Northern Finland in 2013, Warfarer weaves chilling tales of small people’s great struggles amidst ancient myths. Their ferocious blend of melodic death metal and symphonic elements bites like the freezing wind and grips you like the flu.
After releasing an EP in 2017 and undergoing a complete reincarnation with new singles in 2018 and 2020, the band is more alive than ever, preparing for war with brutal new songs and sharpened axes. Their upcoming concept album, ‘A Tale Beyond the Pale’, set for release in 2024, delves into the Finnish myth of the Brotherslayer, taking listeners on a journey through jealousy, scheming, Viking raids, duels under the northern lights, and an eventual descent into guilt and madness.

On the new track, the band shares: “You work, you pay taxes, and you expect the people in positions of power and government to serve your needs and the needs of other citizens, when in reality they serve their own agendas. Greed, war, corruption, it’s almost impossible to free yourself from this cycle. You inevitably serve a lower purpose.”

FIT FOR AN AUTOPSY’s acclaimed 2022 album On What the Future Holds was the band’s highest-charting release to date, becoming the first of their six full-lengths to reach the Top 25 of the Billboard 200. But while some musicians would take such an achievement as a cue to duplicate whatever worked last time, or maybe even tailor their sound to boost its commercial appeal, the band—vocalist Joe Badolato, guitarists Will Putney, Patrick Sheridan and Tim Howley, bassist Peter Spinazola, and drummer JoseanOrta—simply continued to evolve along their own path. The Nothing That Is, FIT FOR AN AUTOPSY’s seventh and latest album (and third for Nuclear Blast), bears no sign whatsoever of commercial concession or rehashed past glories. Instead, the ten-song album finds the band exploring moodier textures and deeper emotions that add new power and dynamics to their already brutal and complex music, while also completely tuning out the ambient noise of passing musical trends and the expectations of the outside world. Produced by Putney at his Graphic Nature Audio studio in Kinnelon, New Jersey, The Nothing That Is is an album filled with anger, frustration and crushing despair. Songs like “Hostage“, “Red Horizon“, “Lower Purpose“,and the pummeling title track grapple with the horrors that the human race has unnecessarily inflicted upon the world, while the epic, introspective closer “The Silver Sun” reflects bitterly upon our uncertain future. Built to be listened to in its entirety in a single sitting ,The Nothing That Is flows like the gripping soundtrack to a documentary film of our increasingly dystopian existence. A ringing wake-up call for humanity and a thoroughly intense listening experience, TheNothing That Is brims with both aggression and melody, its bracing music delivered with the confidence of a band that has honed its skills and forged its sense of purpose through fifteen-plus years of all-out live shows. Sufficiently secure of their place in the metal firmament to let their music go wherever feels right for a particular song, FIT FOR AN AUTOPSY have delivered what may well be the greatest album of their career.

Poland’s black/doom/sludge experimentalists THAW preview their upcoming album “Fading Backwards” with a new single titled “Wartenberg Wheel”. The album is slated for October 25th via Agonia Records and will coincide with a tour of Poland. Listen to the new single now, below.
THAW is thrilled to announce the release of their new album, marking their long-awaited return after years of hiatus. The album, featuring six tracks, is the quintessence of the band’s musical identity, showcasing their unique sound in a new light.
The musical layer on THAW‘s new album truly captures the essence of the band, combining vibrant sounds with heavy, low-tuned guitars. These powerful sounds are further enriched with noisy electronics, adding depth and character to each track.
Most of the music were recorded live, giving the tracks a rawness and authenticity, and then carefully overdubbed to achieve the optimal sound. However, it is not just the instruments that define this album. The approach to the vocal parts is completely new.
The entire album was recorded at the renowned MonochromStudio (Behemoth, Entropia), where THAW could fully exploit their artistic potential, creating sounds that are both powerful and full of subtle nuances.
THAW, known for their relentless pursuit of new forms of expression, proves with this album that their musical journey is far from over. The new record is not only a return to their roots but also a step forward, showing that the band still has a lot to offer.
“We are happy and excited that the new THAW album will finally see the light of day,” comments THAW. “We know that the process of writing and recording this latest album took a significant amount of time. However, we are satisfied with the final result and are eager to see the world’s reaction to what will soon be presented to all of you.”

Saint Diablo is a brutal Latin Nu-Metalcore powerhouse known for their aggressive blend of driving rhythms, explosive riffs, and fervent vocals. Hailing from Virginia, USA, the band infuses their music with Latin influences, creating a unique sound that has set them apart in the metal scene since their inception in 2004. The band just premiered a new music video titled “Cosmic Inferno” taken from their EP album The Reckoning which was released on July 19, 2024 via Eclipse Records. “This song is about others not feeling sorry for the monster they have created or that I have become”, says lead vocalist Tito Quinones. “I sing about leaning into the ugly pain and reality I was designed to thrive in. Maybe God is dead or asleep now – but he was awake when he designed me, and I am running at peek engine performance as the bad guy I was designed to be. Everything happens for a reason, and I will stand strong in the cause and effect to the decisions made before me. I will not apologize for using my scorpion tail to survive even if it leads to my destruction. A purposeful oblivion is better than a pointless existence!”
Prepare to be immersed in the emotional depths of The Reckoning, the gripping new EP by Saint Diablo that navigates themes of loss, self-discovery, and resilience through its powerful tracks. Produced by Chris Anger at Sound Republic Studio, this EP promises a riveting auditory experience that will leave fans yearning for more. The journey begins with “Voice on the Phone,” a poignant reflection of loss and melancholy coupled with yearning for solace in the midst of despair. With heartfelt lyrics and emotive melodies, Saint Diablo captures the struggle to find footing in turbulent times, clinging to memories of strength and guidance from a departed loved one. Next, “Dame Todo” invites listeners into a passionate declaration of unity and empowerment. Through intimate lyrics that speak directly to fans and supporters, Saint Diablo channels the euphoria of shared purpose and camaraderie. “Cosmic Inferno” delves into darker territory, exploring themes of acceptance and defiance in the face of inner turmoil. The band confronts the notion of embracing one’s flaws and embracing the darkness within, finding strength in the realization that every aspect of their existence serves a purpose. Rounding out the EP is a dynamic live rendition of “Odio,” a fan-favorite anthem that captures the raw energy and intensity of Saint Diablo’s electrifying stage presence. LION’S SHARE guitarist Lars Chriss and former CANDLEMASS singer Messiah Marcolin will join Canadian metal legends ANVIL for a special one-song performance at their upcoming show in Stockholm, Sweden, on October 26th.
When it comes to the most influential bands in the history of heavy metal, authorities on the subject regularly vote ANVIL among the top positions. The group from Toronto, Canada, with its two masterminds, guitarist/vocalist Steve “Lips” Kudlow and drummer Robb Reiner, and bassist Chris Robertson, not only looks back at an impressive career with countless highlights — as well as a number of well-documented difficulties — but has also had a lasting influence on lots of internationally renowned musicians, from METALLICA to SLAYER and beyond.
Both Chriss and Marcolin cite ANVIL as a major influence, having discovered the band during their teenage years in the early ’80s with classic albums such as Hard ‘n’ Heavy, Metal on Metal, and Forged in Fire.”
