Costa Rican death metal act NECROFERUM have announced the upcoming release of their debut EP, “Visions from the Necrorealm”, on November 4th 2024 via Nuclear Winter Records. The first single from the record, “Malignant Echoes of Non-Existence”, is out now. Stream it HERE.
In the heart of the Central American jungle, where shadows crawl and ancient secrets linger, NECROFERUM awakens. Born from spectral fumes and steeped in malevolence, it embodies the rotting essence of a darkness that knows no bounds. As the putrid miasma rises, it unleashes a relentless force, merciless and unforgiving, drawn from the deepest depths of evil.
NECROFERUM was established in 2023 by Juan Salas and Justin Sanchez, both of Mortual, in their pursuit of a heavier and more punishing sound. The line-up was completed with the addition of drummer Juan José Fernandez, who introduced bassist Kevin Venegas to the group. Based in San José, Costa Rica, NECROFERUM is dedicated to conjuring the sepulchral sound of spectral mists.
“Visions from the Necrorealm” tracklist:
01. Visions from the Necrorealm 02. Transcending from Spectral Fumes 03. Profound Illusions of a Pathological Subconscious 04. Malignant Echoes of Non-Existence

LION’S SHARE guitarist Lars Chriss and former CANDLEMASS singer Messiah Marcolin will join Canadian metal legends ANVIL for a special one-song performance at their upcoming show in Stockholm, Sweden, on October 26th.
When it comes to the most influential bands in the history of heavy metal, authorities on the subject regularly vote ANVIL among the top positions. The group from Toronto, Canada, with its two masterminds, guitarist/vocalist Steve “Lips” Kudlow and drummer Robb Reiner, and bassist Chris Robertson, not only looks back at an impressive career with countless highlights — as well as a number of well-documented difficulties — but has also had a lasting influence on lots of internationally renowned musicians, from METALLICA to SLAYER and beyond.
Both Chriss and Marcolin cite ANVIL as a major influence, having discovered the band during their teenage years in the early ’80s with classic albums such as Hard ‘n’ Heavy, Metal on Metal, and Forged in Fire.”

Coping Method‘s first full length album – Where Spirit Meets Bone – is out now from FIXT.
The final session from Coping Method is here. Intense. Brutal. Raw. The program delves into the darkest recesses of the human condition shining a light as it bombards listeners with a barrage of rock, metal, metalcore, Nu-metal, and alternative. Featuring an ensemble of genre-defying sessions including “Closing In” featuring the fierce vocal talents of the enigmatic REEBZ, “Underground” the utter embodiment of aggression, and the equally savage “Obliterate Me” with the band commenting simply, “It’s heavy”. Where Spirit Meets Bone is a high octane ride through human resilience.
Where Spirit Meets Bone is a turbulent deep dive into the human psyche. Coping Method‘s Tyler Simpson’s brutal vocal performances are just the tip of the iceberg. Below the surface is a deep well of transformative soundscapes laid out in vivid and painstaking detail. The album takes on themes of betrayal, cynicism, toxic relationships, inner demons, and self destructive tendencies through a musical lens as a deeply personal albeit chaotic release. Through thrashing guitars, layered into thunderous percussion, and electronic elements, laced with thought provoking lyrics that have to be screamed not just sung, Coping Method’s distinct ability to seamlessly weave these intricate emotions into their music is a testament to Coping Method’s musical prowess. If you’re looking for authenticity that mirrors the complexities of life’s challenges in the modern era, this is it.
The spirit of the album can be summed up with one quote from band member Jed Stark. “You are not alone; your struggles matter, and you deserve to receive help.”
Album tracklist: [CM] – document 01 – [ORIENTATION] Inhuman Hypomania Obliterate Me Underground Erratic Fantasy [CM] – document 02 – [EMPTYEYES] Closing In (feat. REEBZ) Nightmare Circles Where Spirit Meets Bone Trench [CM] – document 03 – [MINDNUMB] Immunogen
Beneath the mystifying cloak of ambiguity lies vulnerability. Coping Method thrives in the shadows of the human psyche, exploring unfiltered rumination via their unique marriage of Metal and Dark EDM. Those who participate in their exercises, classified as “trainees,” are encouraged to lose themselves in each sonic wave. Underneath the brooding veneer of the organization is a yearning to connect with each trainee, providing an outlet for their struggles. Instructors Tyler Simpson (Vocals), Jed Stark (Guitar/Synth), and Chad Wunderle (Drums) believe in the message with every fiber of their being. By embracing the pulsating soundscapes and sonorous timbres, you too might believe.
Where Spirit Meets Bone is available now on all platforms from FiXT.
“Where Spirit Meets Bone” by Coping Method delves into the raw, visceral emotions of betrayal, cynicism, and the quest for liberation from a toxic relationship. The track is characterized by its intense lyrics that convey the suffocating experience of enduring repetitive deceit and emotional manipulation.

ENSIFERUM will be touring in support of their long-awaited Winter Storm full-length, set for release on October 18th through Metal Blade Records.
Much of the new material for Winter Storm emerged during the COVID lockdown, when ENSIFERUM‘s founding guitarist Markus Toivonen set himself the challenge of finding new ways to make music – eventually composing every song except the rousing, anthemic “Fatherland,” written by bassist Sami Hinkka. The addition of singer/organist Pekka Montin’s crystal-clear melodic high notes provided a tremendous boost on Thalassic. But on Winter Storm – a fantasy concept narrative penned by Hinkka – Montin’s super-strong voice finds its optimal place in ENSIFERUM‘s sound. Bringing to life such grandiose, heroic material, the singer emerges as one of the greatest vocal discoveries of the decade.
ENSIFERUM‘s Winter Storm was produced by Janne Joutsenniemi, mixed and mastered by Jens Bogren, and includes guest appearances by Lassi Logrén on Nyckelharpa and violin and Mikko Mustonen on orchestration as well as Eleine’s Madeleine Liljestam who provides all vocals on “Scars In My Heart.”

With the release of his third solo album, The Art Of Letting Go, just days away, vocalist/guitarist/songwriter MYLES KENNEDY – known for his work with rockers Alter Bridge and Slash and the Conspirators – is releasing his final pre-release track “Saving Face.” The song is a blazing rock track that is built around Myles’ driving guitar riff as Tim Tournier’s distorted bass and Zia Uddin’s drums push the verses towards an unforgettable chorus. The song talks about continuing to mark your place in the world today regardless of what others around are doing to drag you down. It is the life lesson that wisdom you gain after being on the planet for a while is every bit as important as youthful exuberance is.
An animated lyric video incorporating the enthralling album cover artwork is now available!
From the opening guitar riff of the title track “The Art Of Letting Go” to the haunting melody of album closer “How The Story Ends,” MYLES KENNEDY is back with a collection of songs that is sure to cater to old and new fans alike. Songs like “Mr. Downside,” “Miss You When You’re Gone,” and “Eternal Lullaby” showcase the memorable storytelling that has become synonymous throughout all of Myles’ projects. The Art Of Letting Go marks the return of Myles, backed by his band comprised of Zia Uddin on drums and Tim Tournier on bass. The debut single – the upbeat rocker “Say What You Will” – brought Myles his highest solo chart position ever and is the most spun single of Myles’ solo career. The album is scheduled for release via longtime label home Napalm Records on October 11, 2024.
The Art Of Letting Go track listing: 1. The Art Of Letting Go 2. Say What You Will 3. Mr. Downside 4. Miss You When You’re Gone 5. Behind The Veil 6. Saving Face 7. Eternal Lullaby 8. Nothing More To Gain 9. Dead To Rights 10. How The Story Ends

About MYLES KENNEDY: As a prolific songwriter, powerhouse vocalist, and proficient guitar player, MYLES KENNEDY tunes into the rhythm of his surroundings and goes with the flow. Fronting Alter Bridge, his soaring vocals, open-hearted lyrics, and airtight riffs have fueled the group’s global impact as a gold-certified, arena-filling force of nature over two decades-plus. On the microphone for Slash and The Conspirators, his towering range has consistently stunned audiences since 2010. Becoming a celebrated collaborator, he’s the rare presence just as comfortable on a track with Disturbed, Halestorm, and Sevendust as he is with Gov’t Mule and Darryl “DMC” McDaniels. It’s why he’s generated over one billion cumulative streams, earned gold and platinum certifications worldwide, uplifted countless fans, and KERRANG! christened him “one of rock’s finest vocalists.” It’s also why he’s carved out his own lane. 2021 saw him deliver his acclaimed sophomore opus, The Ides of March. It impressively notched a total of four #1 debuts across three countries, toppling the Billboard US Top Current Hard Music Chart, the UK Official Rock & Metal Chart and Official Independent Album Chart, and Canada’s Hard Music Albums Chart. Beyond generating 10 million-plus streams, it incited unanimous critical applause from American Songwriter, Guitar.com, LoudWire, Guitar World, and more. RIFF hailed it as “a fantastic and must-listen record,” while Classic Rock Magazine awarded it “4.5-out-of-5 stars,” going on to attest, “The Ides of March confirms Myles Kennedy as a musical powerhouse.” With two solo efforts under his belt and sold out headline tours in the rearview, a sense of keenly honed intuition guides his third full-length LP, The Art of Letting Go[Napalm Records], led by the single “Say What You Will.”
