Kobi Fahr of Orphaned Land)already gave an intense insight into the upcoming release, Weeping Silence follow up today with the brand new track “Serpentine”.
Inspired by the enchanting world of Maltese folklore characters, creatures, and legends, the upcoming album “Isles of Lore” is a testament to Weeping Silence‘s evolution as a band. Brazilian death-thrashers TORTURE SQUAD have released the brand new video for their latest single “Flukeman”, off of their new album, “Devilish”, out now via Time To Kill Records.
“Flukeman” is a mysterious horror story inspired by a character from the X-Files series, a mutant humanoid that hides in water to attack its victims.
“Devilish” is an album surrounded by a dark atmosphere, its lyrics show urges experienced in our century, such as the constant degradation of the Amazon rainforest and the population increasingly affected by psychological illnesses such as anxiety and depression. At the same time, it opens windows of escape for an imaginary world inspired by games, series and fiction books.
In their second album with the new lineup, Mayara Puertas (Voice), Rene Simionato (Guitar), Castor (Bass) and Amilcar Christófaro (Drums) transcend the sound of extreme metal with maturity, incorporating progressive metal, influences from Brazilian music and symphonic elements.
The album also honors Brazilian heroes with a participation of Andreas Kisser (Sepultura) in the track “Buried Alive”, and a tribute to Rickson Gracie the resilient fighter of Jiu Jitsu considered one of the greatest legends in this sport, the theme of the track “Warrior”. The band also mobilized several musicians related to indigenous causes in their country to collaborate on the song “Uatumã”, making an appeal for the preservation of the Amazon in a song that flows in an powerful way with the speeches of the indigenous leader Raoni Metuktire and tribal rhythms.
For the cover art, the band had Marcelo Vasco, a Brazilian illustrator who has already created artworks for Slayer, Dimmu Borgir, Soulfly among others.

“In the follow-up music video, «Battle of the Underworlds», we go back in time before the death of the Gothminister king in «Pandemonium».
We see that during the Gothminister King’s time as ruler, his Kingdom was attacked by another Underworld, consisting of witches and werewolves who had joined forces with a plan to overthrow Gothminister’s kingdom. The witches are concerned with balance in this world, and now they fear too much power centralized in one clan, so they plan this attack against Gothminister’s kingdom to strengthen their own side by making a pact with the werewolves.

All new GOTHMINISTER songs were composed and written by Bjørn Alexander Brem, who also produced the new release. The mix is courtesy of Henning Verlage (Unheilig, Eisbrecher) and Norwegian sound engineer Morten Lund, who has worked with Morten Harket (A-ha), among others, was in charge of the album mastering. “The new material is faster and catchier than that of the predecessor album, but at the same time it sounds even more complex and modern, with more sophisticated vocal melodies and challenging breaks,” Brem recently said, “at the same time the driving beats for the dancefloor and the concept of ultra-low-sounding, tough guitar riffs are still present and link both recordings.”

Helsinki-based extreme metal band KNEEL BEFORE THE DEATH releases new single “I Am The One”. The band is known for their skills to combine massive sound walls to brutal extreme metal expression.
Band Comments on the song: “´I Am The One´ is the continuation to Kneel Before The Death’s previous single, ´Eternal Sleep´. Filled by hate, the protagonist heads towards a final challenge, one he has never faced before. Only one will prevail. This fight won’t be over until it is won.”
Band’s drummer Konsta Vihavainen comments: “When we started to write this song, the idea was to create a piece of music with a massive chorus as its centerpiece. Something that would instantly catch the listener’s attention. In addition, we wanted to explore soundscapes that our band hasn’t previously touched upon, and the result is a dynamic and massive extreme metal song. This track is truly a unique combination of haunting guitar melodies, beautiful orchestrals and lots of blast beats.”

Kneel Before The Death is a Finnish extreme metal band founded in early 2013. The band consists of drummer Konsta Vihavainen, guitarist Niko Lappalainen, bassist Joonas Peltonen and vocalist Markus Raito. Kneel Before The Death´s music combines elements from symphonic metal, black metal and electronic music, such as synthwave, creating the band’s unique sound.
Kneel Before The Death released their first single, ‘In Death We Trust’, in December 2013, following their first EP ‘The First Chapter’ in August 2014. Band kept evolving their sound to a darker direction and in 2015 released two singles, ‘The Bloodline’ and ‘Deathbringer’. Their second EP, ‘Life/Death’, was released in September 2016. ‘Miserere Mei’, a single mixed and mastered by Fredrik Nordström, was released in November 2018. After that, KBTD released an EP, ’Memoir’, on April 28th 2022. Their latest release, single ‘Eternal Sleep’, saw daylight on 5th of May 2023.
