Band comments: “We’re thrilled to share our take on Don Henley’s iconic ’80s hit, “The Boys of Summer.” We wanted to inject a fresh surge of energy into this timeless track, so we dove in with lower-tuned guitars to give it a robust new feel. Rest assured, every riff and beat is a heartfelt tribute to the song you love, just with our own modern twist. “

Swiss doom/sludge quartet Zatokrev have revealed their new moving single ‘Pearl Eyes’, a third fragment of their upcoming album, …Bring Mirrors to the Surface, which will be released on 29th August via Pelagic Records.
Zatokrev comment: “Our third single is another piece of the puzzle of a cathartic self-discovery from the upcoming album. It was a true joy to collaborate with our longtime friend Lio and his crew on the new, spontaneously and intuitively created video. They truly melted into our musical energy and gave the composition the natural, raw imagery it craved.“
The monumental …Bring Mirrors to the Surface continues the story its predecessor Silk Spiders Underwater… began telling in 2015, and features guest vocal performances by Schammasch, Inezona, Minsk, and Bölzer.
After all the detritus of pain, time, and letting go has been slogged through, 2025 sees Zatokrev return with an immense and immersive new (double LP) album: …Bring Mirrors to the Surface obliterates the past and conjures a future previously unimagined, pleading with humanity to remember the power of the will and the imagination.
An album in which to truly lose oneself, these songs provide a candle in the dark, an arcane map, directions to the tearing down, and the painful realizing, as a means to metaphysical freedom. A beauty unmatched in any previous Zatokrev material has become entrenched in every aspect of this record. Moments of comfort flow freely into the deafening sounds: …Bring Mirrors to the Surface encourages one and all to stare into the abyss of the self. Zatokrev have given us a musical grimoire. Sounds heard through the ages have congregated in a unique moment in time.
“Changes, recognize, release. A black flame splitting the ground in two, opens the gate to where we lose ourselves.”

Wormholedeath is thrilled to welcome Polish alternative metal powerhouse SAUERKRAUT to its global roster for the release of their explosive new album, In Madness, due for release on 19 September, 2025.
Alongside the announcement, the band unleashes a powerful new statement with the official video for “Symbol of Death” — a crushing, high-impact track taken from the upcoming album. The video showcases the band’s dual-vocal ferocity and chaotic energy in full form, offering a glimpse into the intense world of In Madness.
Formed in 2019 by veterans of the metal and alt scenes, SAUERKRAUT wasted no time carving their place in the genre with their 2022 debut EP, Bloody Stew — a record that introduced their sharp identity: thunderous grooves, dynamic structures, and a livewire energy that translates both on stage and in the studio.
The upcoming album, In Madness, represents the next evolution of their sound. With the addition of a second vocalist, the band has expanded their range, bringing deeper contrast, richer textures, and a more intense emotional spectrum. From brutal breakdowns to infectious hooks, In Madness is a bold, unflinching statement — metalcore and alt-metal done with both craft and conviction.
SAUERKRAUT blend influences from modern metal, nu metal, and hardcore with fearless experimentation, but what defines them most is authenticity. Their music isn’t trend-chasing — it’s emotionally charged, fiercely executed, and built to resonate.
This partnership with Wormholedeath opens the next chapter — one that will bring In Madness to a broader international audience and solidify SAUERKRAUT’s rising status in the heavy music world.
Band lineup: Łukasz Jakubus – vocals Łukasz Mularz – vocals Dawid Kiełtyka – bass/vocals Jakub Drzymała – guitar Janusz Surma – guitar Sławomir Miś – drums
GRAVE HEX have premiered their new single “Steeping Master Worm Flesh” via Toilet Ov Hell, offering another grotesque glimpse into their upcoming debut album “Vermian Death”, out August 22nd, 2025 via Night Terrors Records (cassette) and Cavernous Records (CD).
Spewing forth from Finland’s death-sodden crypts, the track reeks of corrosion and malice, an oozing, maggot-ridden assault where festering riffs collide with punk-infused savagery.
With this latest slab of rot, GRAVE HEX further assert themselves among the filthiest torchbearers of putrid death metal, in the foul lineage of Autopsy, Undergang and Morbific.

GRAVE HEX was (de)formed in Helsinki in March 2024 by Matti (of hardcore band Vainoa), Miikka (Vainoa), and Martti (ex-Loka, ex-Radien), united by a shared vision of primal, worm-ridden death metal.
Songwriting took off like a spontaneous blaze, and the material for the debut release came together quickly – written and rehearsed in short order, then recorded over three sessions during the summer of 2024.
The result, “Vermian Death”, is a crushing torrent of metal, steeped in cavernous soundscapes and feral lyrical themes.
Recording and mixing were handled by the band’s own Matti Vainionpää, while mastering was completed by Greg Wilkinson at Earhammer Studios. The cover art is an original piece commissioned from Slimeweaver.
Shortly after completing the album, the band welcomed Hanna on bass and is now preparing to unleash their bestial death worship live in 2025.
Line-up:

From The Land, a new dark country/gothic rock project, has officially launched with their debut single, “Psalm 2”, available now across all platforms, accompanied by a music video. This release offers the first glimpse into the band’s forthcoming debut album, “Stolen Season pt. I“, slated for release on 21 November via 7 Mater, with distribution handled by The Circle Music.
From The Land is the brainchild of Anatoly Pakhalenko, frontman of the dark folk band Nytt Land. Conceived in 2025, the project serves as an alter ego for Pakhalenko’s creative exploration and experimentation within dark country and blues genres. The band’s aesthetic is described as a “black and white world tired of all this s**t that’s going on around and gradually sinking into an endless sleep.”
“Psalm 2” is based on the biblical text of the second psalm, with its content and lyrics aligning with the main guitar riff and melody. The track also features a Mongolian traditional flute, the “shoor”, as a nod to Pakhalenko’s work with Nytt Land.
The song “Psalm 2” was composed by Anatoly Pakhalenko and Aleksandr Rosliakov, with lyrics taken from the Bible. It was recorded at Nytt Land Studio between January and May 2025, with Anatoly Pakhalenko serving as recording and mixing engineer, and producer.
From The Land draws inspiration from the works of H.P. Lovecraft, Edgar Allan Poe, and David Lynch.
