On January 28th, the label will host a party at Las Rosas, Miami, bringing together fans and artists for a night of extreme music, community and pure underground energy.
Taking place the day before 70000 Tons of Metal sets sail, the event serves as a meeting point for the global metal scene already descending on the city. The night will be headlined by a live performance from RECORRUPTOR, the ferocious death metal outfit from the Time To Kill Records roster, ready to deliver a crushing set that embodies the label’s uncompromising spirit.
In addition to the live show, the evening will feature DJ sets, exclusive giveaways, and special surprises, creating a full-scale celebration of heavy music culture and the growing presence of Time To Kill Records in the international metal landscape.
Brazilian extreme metal powerhouse Torture Squad releases this Saturday, January 24, the music video for “Buried Alive”, the ninth video taken from their latest album ‘Devilish’, released in September 2023 via Italian label Time To Kill Records.
In this newest release, the band translates the raw intensity and strong crossover hardcore influences of the track into imagery that reflects resistance, survival, and the spirit of the underground. The video is seted at a symbolic location of São Paulo ‘s heavy music subculture: Pista de Skate da Saúde (Saúde Ramps), a legendary skate park in the city.
Directed and filmed by Rodrigo Borrero (Agência Brasília), the video reinforces the connection between music and skateboarding as powerful outlets for expression. Both are portrayed as tools to confront anxiety, depression, and everyday pressure, highlighting movement, unity, and collective energy.
Singer Mayara Puertas explains the emotional background behind the lyrics:
“I wrote the lyrics to ‘Buried Alive’ during a panic attack episode , so it became a personal release. People often minimize the suffering of those dealing with mental health issues, believing that medication alone is enough, or that it’s a lack of effort, or even a lack of faith – which I’ve heard more than once. It’s a constant struggle, and this song reflects what it was like to go through all of that.”
The skate park also holds a special background in Torture Squad’s own history. The band was formed in São Paulo’s South Zone, between the neighborhoods of Ipiranga and Vila das Mercês.
Drummer & band founder Amílcar Christófaro reflects on this connection:
“Skateboarding and metal have always been side-by-side, and that’s still true today. Pista da Saúde was a gift to local skaters. When it opened in 1994, I was already retiring from the skating scene because of the band, so I really enjoyed it later on. I remember watching Suicidal Tendencies videos and dreaming of making a Torture Squad video with same stuff like skateboarders, streetlife. And this is the perfect moment because, in addition to May’s powerful message, there’s the more than special participation of Andreas Kisser, who, along with Sepultura, not only influenced us musically but also showed us the path we wanted and could take in life. Ultra special.”
The video features appearances by local skateboarders, reinforcing the fusion between sound, movement and attitude, celebrating the underground Metal Lifestyle.
Torture Squad continues to promote their recent album ‘Devilish’, available on digital platforms and in physical format.
Torture Squad is seen by extreme music fans as one of the most visceral and powerful metal bands active today. With nearly three decades of experience, including excellent live performances at the most important metal festivals in the world, the Brazilian group has gathered legions of fans playing throughout the country, Latin America, and Europe – breaking the record after performing at Wacken Open Air 2025, becoming one of the only Brazilian bands to play four times at the festival.
In their second album with the new lineup, Mayara Puertas (Vocals), Rene Simionato (Guitar), Castor (Bass), and Amilcar Christófaro (Drums) maturely transcend the sound of extreme metal, incorporating progressive metal, influences from Brazilian music, and symphonic elements.
The album also pays homage to Brazilian heroes with the participation of Andreas Kisser (Sepultura) on the track “Buried Alive,” and a tribute to Rickson Gracie, the resilient Jiu-Jitsu fighter considered one of the sport’s greatest legends, the subject of the track “Warrior,” which also became a single featuring singer Leather Leone from Chastain, as well as Alex Nasser on Arabic percussion in “Hell is Coming.”
The band also mobilized several musicians linked to indigenous causes to collaborate on the song “Uatumã” – Suzane Hecate (Miasthenia), Victor Rodrigues (Tribal Scream), and João Luiz (Golpe de Estado) – making an appeal for the preservation of the Amazon in a song that flows powerfully with the words of indigenous leader Raoni Metuktire and tribal rhythms. The band released seven high-production music videos to promote the album: “Hell is Coming”, “Flukeman”, “Warrior”, “Sanctuary”, “Thoth”, “Mabus” e “Find My Way”“Magnum Chaos”.
As a first taste, the band released the first single, titled “Mabus,” accompanied by a lyric video made by Wanderley Perna. ‘Devilish’ was recorded and mixed by Diego Rocha at Bay Area Studios, and mastered by Martin Furia, guitarist of Destruction and famous for working with the bands The Damnnation, Invisible Control, and Eskrota.

Metal heroines NERVOSA announce their new album: Slave Machine will be unleashed on April 3, 2026 via Napalm Records! Their sixth album shows the Brazil-based modern thrash metal band releasing their inner beasts at staggering speed and with formidable emphasis. Having performed at the biggest metal festivals worldwide, from Wacken to Hellfest, and making a lasting impression on fans and critics alike, NERVOSA aims to consolidate their standing as genre frontrunners. With founding guitarist Prika Amaral established as their new singer with their previous record, Jailbreak (2023), they tear through the scene with the force of a sledgehammer.
Once again working with producer Martin Furia of German legends DESTRUCTION, the women bridge the gap between old-school power and critical modernity. Slave Machine adds twelve fiery songs to NERVOSA’s repertoire and is available for pre-order now!
Along with the announcement, NERVOSA release the title track of the upcoming record. “Slave Machine” serves as a perfect first harbinger of the fury the Brazilian group is about to unleash on the world: instantly turning up the speed and showing a slightly different side of the thrash band with a catchy alternative bridge, the crushing track kicks off a new era for NERVOSA!
NERVOSA about “Slave Machine”: “This song is everything that we want to say and play, many different vocal layers and guitar melodies like a scream to say that we are all part of the ‘Slave Machine’.”
NERVOSA erupts as a metal volcano with their latest record. Never settling, always exploring, one staggering riff after another, Slave Machine is a crushing statement—it comes, sees, and conquers.
NERVOSA about Slave Machine: “Slave Machine is the most brutal and melodic album of NERVOSA, and we are proud to take this step further, keeping our roots.”
Twelve new songs show the five-piece exploring their crushing style in an enhanced way. Opening “Impending Doom” builds up menacingly, using thunderous riffs and jagged drums to establish the women’s dominance in the scene. The title track, “Slave Machine”, instantly turns up the speed and adds a surprising alternative bridge to the already catchy chorus, showing a slightly different side of the metal powerhouses. The following “Ghost Notes” unleashes a storm of heavy, yet easily recognizable riffs, driven by impelling drums and the ever-so-furious vocals of Prika Amaral, crowned by an astounding guitar solo. Through “Beast Of Burden”, NERVOSA shows their harshest side, while “You Are Not A Hero” offers a grand chorus, gifting Slave Machine a true anthem. “Hate” unfolds with raw brutality, and “The New Empire” looks for destruction with melodic precision. “30 Seconds” rises up to new heights, while “Crawl For Your Pride” combines NERVOSA’s trademark social criticism with gut-punching songwriting. Throughout “Learn Or Repeat” and “The Call”, the band once again sprinkles in some pieces of modern groove with old-school vibes before Slave Machine rears up one final time on the threateningly sinister “Speak In Fire”.

After teasing their debut for the past few weeks, Roman band NOVOMUNDO are ready to unveil their first full-length album, “The Cursed Cult”, set for release on March 1st, 2026. The band has already offered glimpses of their sonic vision through previous singles and content, building strong anticipation for the upcoming record and showcasing the clear artistic direction of their project.
Today, NOVOMUNDO reveal their new single, “Bokor”, accompanied by the official video. The track is marked by a tense, restless energy and a richly detailed soundscape: tight, aggressive riffs intertwine with powerful grooves and dark, immersive atmospheres, while tribal-inspired percussion and haunting melodic lines emerge with striking clarity. “Bokor” highlights the band’s ability to merge extreme and melodic elements, alternating between moments of raw intensity and more reflective, atmospheric passages without ever losing force or cohesion.
With this latest single, NOVOMUNDO continue to establish their distinct style, giving fans a further taste of the debut album while demonstrating their compositional maturity and meticulous attention to sonic detail. The release of “Bokor” marks another significant step in the band’s journey, uniting aggression, complexity, and emotional impact into a single, powerful musical statement.
The band commented:
“We are proud to present the fourth and penultimate single from our upcoming album, ‘The Cursed Cult’. The track, titled ‘Bokor’, stands among the rawest and most ferocious songs on the record. True to our trademark approach, we alternate almost mystical, ritual-like instrumental passages with crushing breakdowns and riffs, all driven by relentless groove and power. The song revolves around the figure of the Bokor, a Voodoo sorcerer who awakens the dead from their eternal sleep to bend them to his dark will. However, the key to understanding this track – like all the lyrics on the album – lies elsewhere: always look at the other side of the coin, the hidden layer, the truth we believe we know… which often isn’t the truth at all”.
NOVOMUNDO was born near Rome around 2012 with the idea to blend heavy and groovy music textures alongside various influences, rhythms, and instruments from all over the world. After some line-up changes over the years, the band rewrote and refined some of their previous material, releasing “Echoes of Ego”: four songs focused on mid-paced ferocity and exotic grooves, with themes exploring modern world decay, primeval instincts, and nightmarish visions.
“The Cursed Cult” represents the band’s first full-length effort: a darker and more crushing take on their renewed sound. The album explores Voodoo culture, its symbols and meanings, interpreted through the lens of contemporary life. Fourteen tracks of ferocity and raw energy blend dark ambient passages with a rotten edge, fusing death-groove and 2000s metal influences enriched by modern tones and crust-core elements.
The album is a concept piece centered on Voodoo — its mysteries, rituals, and symbolic icons. Lyrically, it touches on slavery, prejudice, and death as a way to give value to life, among other themes. Across the tracks, listeners are guided through the pantheon of Voodoo deities, called Loa, exploring their stories and traits as metaphors to convey the album’s core messages. The soundscape of NOVOMUNDO evokes emotional instability and a sense of unease, symbolizing the fear stemming from ignorance and unfamiliarity.
