Hailing from Groningen, The Netherlands, SAVAGE continue their march through the death metal underground with the announcement of their upcoming EP “Septic Tomb”, set for release on July 6th 2026.
Born from the ashes of Dutch death metal outfit Entrapment, SAVAGE have quickly carved out a distinct identity rooted in the genre’s formative years. Drawing inspiration from legendary acts such as Nihilist, Master and Repulsion, the band delivers death metal that remains faithful to the old-school spirit while standing out through strong songwriting, memorable riffs and carefully constructed arrangements. Their songs strike immediately, combining directness and authenticity with a level of craftsmanship that rewards repeated listens.
Following the release of their well-received three-song demo in 2023 through Dawnbreed Records, SAVAGE entered Germany’s Soundlodge Studios in May 2025 to record four new tracks under the guidance of renowned producer Jörg Uken. The resulting material captures the band’s raw and uncompromising approach while showcasing their ability to write memorable death metal without sacrificing intensity or atmosphere.
The vinyl edition of “Septic Tomb”, to be released by MilkCow Records, will include both the four new songs and the band’s 2023 demo, offering a complete snapshot of SAVAGE‘s work to date. The CD version will be released simultaneously through Dawnbreed Records and Necrolatry Records.
The band is already looking beyond this release. At the end of December 2025, SAVAGE will return to Soundlodge Studios to record five additional tracks for a future release, further cementing their commitment to carrying the torch of classic death metal.
To further mark this new chapter, SAVAGE will make their live debut at the legendary Kill-Town Death Fest in Copenhagen this September, bringing their raw and ugly sound to one of the most respected stages in the international death metal underground.

Swedish black metal outfit Flykt are about to release their forthcoming album Sinister Strain, due on 19th June via Hammerheart Records. The band have now unveiled ‘Transcendent Rebellion’, the final offering from the record, which is streaming via the link below.
Flykt comment on the track: “With “Transcendent Rebellion” released, we have now uncovered around a third of the album. As this marks the final preview and the release date draws near, we’d like to take this moment to send our regards to our brothers and sisters who have lent assistance and talent, helping us shape Sinister Strain into what it ultimately became. We tower as mountain, we rush like rivers forth…'”
Formed in Stockholm in 2016, Flykt emerged as an essential creative outlet for those involved and as a sign of defiance amid decay, operating from the periphery rather than the center.
In 2019, the band released their debut full-length album Charnel Heart, through Folter Records. Later the same year, Flykt followed up with the two-track EP Through the Earth and Through the Sun. Since then, Flykt has continued its work away from view, shaping the material for their second full-length album.
Track-list: 1. You Will Know Them by the Reek of Defeat 2. Transcendent Rebellion 3. An Uncarved Block 4. The Release and Descent 5. Armed With Countless Daimons Seeking Abode 6. Rebirth in the Name of Reprisal 7. Unswerving Strife, Unyielding Will 8. A Furnace for the Stars 9. There Comes the Light
Rick Giordano, the composer behind THE LION’S DAUGHTER, has re-emerged as BLOOD MOTHER, a devastating new project that combines the post black metal horrors of TLD with haunting, atmospheric soundscapes and Western Americana attitude. Forged in themes of isolation, paranoia, violence and terror, dark and synth-driven ambience coalesces with bouts of chaotic and desperate black metal, while also honing in on the grit and desolation that was no doubt inspired by Giordano’s upbringing in the rugged American heartlands. Combined with the commanding aggression of Giordano’s vocal attack, BLOOD MOTHER offers the score to your own personal horror film.
BLOOD MOTHER is now unveiling a lyric video for the ominous new single “Pulled Apart,” which is taken from its upcoming self-titled studio album, due on June 19 independently. The song can be found along with a visualizer at THIS LOCATION.
Composer Rick Giordano comments, “‘This song is the album closer because after the devastation and hopelessness you’re left with at the end of the song, there’s really nowhere else to go. Whether taken as a metaphor for physical or emotional violence, you’re pulled apart until there is nothing left. With the added layers of bass guitars and synths, and an altogether different, larger drum set… we wanted to destroy you and your speakers both.”
Pre-orders are now live via the official webstore HERE or via Bandcamp HERE.
Giordano is accompanied on this self titled debut album by Erik Ramsier, long time drummer and percussionist for the Lion’s Daughter, with artwork by renowned graphic novelist The Salamander King.
The cover artwork was created by The Salamander King and can be found below along with the tracklist.

Accompanied on this self-titled debut album by Erik Ramsier, longtime drummer and percussionist for the Lion’s Daughter, with artwork by renowned graphic novelist The Salamander King, BLOOD MOTHER isn’t just a reboot, but rather a reinvention. While it still draws from many of THE LION’S DAUGHTER’s original influences, and therefore, the project also defies generic classification much like its predecessor, BLOOD MOTHER is still a clear evolution from what came before. “After 18 years of releasing music and touring the world, the daughter had to die so that the mother could live,” explains Giordano of the new project.
As a fully independent entity, BLOOD MOTHER has no chains, no bounds, and no master. Self-releasing this project with the help of world renowned independent artist manager Wolf Mountain Productions, Giordano is paving his own path and asserting his dominance over the oppressive music industry. Like a renegade cowboy, he joins the ranks of other modern artists who have abandoned all standards and practices to usher in a new era of artist ownership and DIY supremacy. “I’ve never been a person that neatly fits in with any group, or made music that neatly fits into any category, so it just makes sense to operate independently,” Giordano explains. “I also look at the current state of the music and most of the bands that are popular now, and think why the fuck would I want anything to do with that?”
Like a ghost riding out from the desert, Blood Mother is here to paint the town a shade of red found only in Hell… before burning it all to the ground.

Created and fronted by veteran guitarist Ira Black (Vio-Lence, Metal Church, I Am Morbid, Lizzy Borden, Westfield Massacre), APOCÆLYPSE represents a bold new chapter in his career. Stepping beyond his celebrated role as a guitarist, Black takes center stage as vocalist, songwriter, and creative architect, delivering a sound that merges crushing modern metal with cinematic atmosphere and thought-provoking themes.
“INTELL-I-GENTS” serves as the band’s introduction and a statement of intent. Driven by towering riffs, industrial textures, and anthemic melodies, the song explores the growing influence of artificial intelligence, digital surveillance, and society’s increasingly complex relationship with technology. Equal parts cautionary tale and futuristic metal anthem, the track offers a glimpse into the conceptual depth that defines APOCÆLYPSE’s vision.
Commenting on the incendiary new song, Black states:
“Intell-I-Gents’ is my transmission from the edge of a world quietly handing its pulse to machines—where convenience becomes consent and intelligence starts writing the rules we live by. I fused Industrial/ Metal weight with Electronic pulse to mirror that tension: a human heartbeat colliding with an algorithm that never sleeps. This song isn’t a warning from the future—it’s a mirror held to right now, asking who’s really in control as we cross the line.”
The accompanying music video, directed by Vicente Cordero of Industrialism Films and co-directed by Black, brings the song’s themes to life through a striking visual narrative that reflects the tension between humanity and the rapidly evolving digital world.
APOCÆLYPSE features a powerhouse lineup led by Ira Black alongside his son, guitarist Ira Black IV, whose classical training and technical prowess bring a unique dynamic to the band’s sound. Rounding out the lineup are bassist Matt Snell (formerly of Five Finger Death Punch) and drummer Lonny Pasillas (formerly of Deadsett and Kill Devil Hill). Together, the group blends decades of experience with a forward-thinking approach, crafting modern metal that is both crushingly heavy and ambitiously expansive.
Further elevating the band’s debut is acclaimed producer and mixer Kane Churko, whose work on “INTELL-I-GENTS” delivers the track’s massive sonic impact. Renowned for collaborations with Ozzy Osbourne, Five Finger Death Punch and Disturbed, Churko helps shape a sound that balances crushing heaviness with contemporary clarity and precision. The song was then mastered by Maor Appelbaum (Rob Halford, Testament, Sabaton), whose expert touch brings additional depth, power, and polish to the final mix, ensuring “INTELL-I-GENTS” hits with maximum impact.
“INTELL-I-GENTS” is the first of several singles scheduled for release throughout the summer as APOCÆLYPSE prepares to unveil their forthcoming debut album. The ten-song record is expected to arrive across digital platforms later this year, with additional music videos, live appearances, and touring plans to be announced in the coming months.
With its combination of modern metal power, cinematic ambition, and fearless subject matter, APOCÆLYPSE emerges as a new force ready to challenge expectations and confront the future head-on.
Following the success of their recent single “Barricade,” chart-topping veterans THEORY OF A DEADMAN are proud to announce their new EP, ‘Part 1: Funeral Songs,’ set for release on September 4, 2026 via ONErpm.
Marking a new chapter for the band, comprising Tyler Connolly, Dave Brenner, Dean Back, and Joe Dandeneau, the upcoming EP delivers their signature mix of gritty riffs, anthemic hooks, and unfiltered lyricism with a renewed sense of urgency.
To celebrate the announcement and offer fans another taste of what’s to come, the band also shares their new track, “Winnebago (Lay Low),” alongside a music video.
On the new single “Winnebago (Lay Low),” frontman Tyler Connolly shares:
“‘Winnebago (Lay Low)’ is the epitome of the anti bar song. The F around and find out sing along. As I get older I realize that it really is better to just stay home. This song is among other anthems we recorded for our upcoming Ep ‘Funeral Songs’ which is a Prt 1 of 2, and after all these years we’ve finally been able to focus on less songs and release more often like small batches of fine Kentucky Bourbon.”
THEORY OF A DEADMAN have carved out their own lane as one of modern rock’s most unapologetic forces, racking up multi-platinum hits, chart-topping albums, and sold-out shows worldwide. Blending witty, candid songwriting with undeniable riffs and massive melodic hooks, the Canadian quartet—Tyler Connolly, Dean Back, Dave Brenner, and Joe Dandeneau—have built a career defined by both attitude and staying power.
From fan favorites like “Santa Monica” to gold-certified hit “All Or Nothing,” platinum singles “Hate My Life” and “Bitch Came Back,” and the double-platinum “Not Meant To Be,” the band has delivered a steady stream of rock staples. They’ve landed twelve Top 10 hits on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Chart, including four #1 singles: “Bad Girlfriend,” “Lowlife,” “History Of Violence,” and “Rx (Medicate).” The latter stands as the biggest hit of their career, earning a nomination for “Rock Song of the Year” at the iHeartRadio Music Awards.
Along the way, TOAD have achieved two Top 10 debuts on the Billboard 200, four Top 5 debuts on the Canadian Albums Chart, and multiple Juno Award nominations, while drawing praise from outlets including American Songwriter, Billboard, and Classic Rock Magazine.
