Twenty years after their formation and following three acclaimed studio albums, Greek dark atmospheric metal force ELYSION return with their most ambitious and emotionally charged work to date. The band proudly announce the release of their fourth studio album, “Identity”, which will be released on October 16, 2026 via Massacre Records on Digipak CD, Limited Vinyl LP and digital formats.
To celebrate the announcement, ELYSION have released the album’s first single and official video, “Guardian Angel”, available now on all digital platforms.
A powerful anthem combining the band’s trademark atmospheric darkness with soaring melodies and an unmistakable sense of determination, “Guardian Angel” perfectly captures the spirit of “Identity”. The song delivers a message of hope, strength and resilience, while the accompanying video addresses the issue of child abuse and highlights the urgent need for a safer world for children everywhere.
Vocalist Christianna Chatzimichali comments:
“‘Guardian Angel’ was an obvious choice for the first single. It carries the emotional intensity, energy and character that define Identity. While the video focuses on a very important social issue, the song itself can resonate differently with every listener and become part of their own personal story.”
Produced by Fotis Benardo and ELYSION at Devasoundz Studio, mixed by Benardo and mastered by Nasos Nomikos at VU Productions, “Identity” finds the Greek quartet expanding every aspect of their sound while remaining faithful to the essence that has earned them a loyal international following. The album’s artwork was created by Dimitris Tzortzis.
According to the band, “Identity” is much more than simply a collection of songs. Conceived as a celebration of ELYSION‘s twenty-year journey, the album serves as a heartfelt tribute to the fans who have supported the band throughout their career and to the worldwide hard rock and metal community as a whole.
While not a concept album, “Identity” is united by a common atmosphere and message. Its songs explore themes of self-discovery, personal struggle, resilience, belonging and unity in an increasingly fragmented world. The album showcases the unmistakable ELYSION sound while introducing a more dynamic, confident and adventurous approach to songwriting.
The band states:
“‘Identity’ is the most mature, intense and daring album we have ever created. It is true to our roots, but at the same time pushes our music further than ever before. In many ways, it represents exactly who we are today and what we have learned over twenty years of making music together. This album is our way of thanking everyone who stood by our side and believed in our songs.”
“Identity” also includes two special guest appearances. Greek metal icon Sakis Tolis (Rotting Christ) lends his unmistakable voice to “Harvest”, while Konstantinos Togas (Nightrage, Herta) joins ELYSION on “The Last Ride”.

SQUID PISSER — the brainchild of Tommy Meehan (Grodius Maximus of GWAR) — proudly announce their long-awaited new full-length EP, ‘Throat Slave,’ set for release on August 28th via SKiN GRAFT Records / SWEATBAND Records. To celebrate the announcement, the band has unveiled the new single “Mucus” and its accompanying official music video, available below.
Serving as the lead track from ‘Throat Slave,’“Mucus” prominently showcases the contributions of guitarists Michael Armendariz and Raz Azraai, whose songwriting and performances broaden the band’s sonic palette while retaining its uniquely unstable identity. Alongside founder and GWAR guitarist Tommy Meehan and Starcrawler‘s Seth Carolina, the expanded lineup delivers SQUID PISSER‘s most immersive and fully realized work to date.
On the new single, Baxter Yogurt explains:
“‘Mucus’ exists to keep unwanted things out. Germs, parasites, bad ideas, manipulative people, psychic vampires, whatever. This song is about developing your own protective slime layer and trusting it when outside forces try to hijack your identity or steer your life in directions that don’t feel right. Sometimes the healthiest thing you can do is reject the infection and remain your weird, disgusting self. MUCUS IS YOUR FRIEND.”
Following the sensory overload of 2024’s ‘Dreams of Puke,’ Los Angeles slime merchants SQUID PISSER return with ‘Throat Slave’ – a “full-length EP” collecting five original songs, six demented remixes and a foreboding, fear-fraught preface that all push the band’s increasingly strange universe into darker territory.
‘Throat Slave’ marks a significant evolution for SQUID PISSER. While retaining the band’s volatility and sonic intensity, the material reveals a broader emotional range. Groove, atmosphere, and dynamic tension play a larger role than ever before, creating space for the band’s most immersive and fully realized work to date.
The EP also represents the first SQUID PISSER release to prominently feature the creative contributions of guitarists Michael Armendariz and Raz Azraai, whose songwriting and performances help expand the band’s sonic vocabulary while preserving its uniquely unstable identity.
Side A unfolds through five compositions that navigate paranoia, confrontation, self-examination, and release. Beneath the record’s recurring imagery of vermin, tumorous growths, leeches, and bodily decay lies a more universal struggle: reclaiming one’s identity from manipulation, illusion, and the stories imposed by others. ‘Throat Slave’ is ultimately a record about emergence – about recognizing uncomfortable truths and finding clarity in their wake.
If Side A documents the organism, Side B documents its mutation.
Remix artists including queer-cult icon Plack Blague, minimalistic noise-pop duo Hyper Gal, Drumcorps, Fartbarf, Ecology: HomeStones, dj Embryonic Petit Sac, and Zeni Geva’s KK Null (with an exclusive CD-Only Track), dismantle and reconstruct the original material into electronic hallucinations, industrial rituals, mutant dance music, and psychedelic fever dreams. Rather than functioning as bonus material, the remixes operate as a second act, transforming familiar themes into entirely new forms.
Accompanied by the luminous and deeply unsettling artwork of Bora Murmure, ‘Throat Slave’ occupies a space somewhere between nightmare and revelation. Like the glowing figure depicted on its cover, the record emerges from darkness transformed – beautiful, disturbing, and impossible to fully explain.
As Baxter Yogurt puts it, “’Throat Slave’ is a collection of songs about defending your identity from parasites… Whether they’re people, institutions, bad habits, or the voice in your own head telling you to play it safe. The record is filled with bodily fluids, vermin, disease, and decay because that’s what these forces feel like when they’re attached to you and feeding. Every song is a battle between self-determination and surrender. The answer isn’t self-improvement or enlightenment… It’s trusting yourself enough to reject what’s false. Don’t become somebody else’s ‘Throat Slave.’”

SQUID PISSER are a chaotic hardcore/noise outfit blending industrial textures, fractured rhythms, and confrontational performance into a singular, abrasive identity. Featuring members of GWAR, Cancer Christ and Duck Duck Goose, the band fuses blown-out electronics, noise-drenched guitars, and volatile live energy into something deliberately unhinged and immediate.
The band has worked with acclaimed producers including Kurt Ballou and Steve Evetts, and has engaged with forward-thinking acts such as Melt-Banana, The Locust, and Nekrogoblikon. Releases through Three One G Records and Skin Graft Records position SQUID PISSER firmly within a lineage of boundary-pushing underground music.
Through relentless touring, SQUID PISSER has shared stages with GWAR, Weedeater, Nekrogoblikon, Dark Funeral, Melt Banana, King Parrot, and Buñuel, while also performing alongside Thee Oh Sees, deathbyromy, and Siiickbrain, demonstrating a rare ability to cross scenes without compromise.
Internationally, SQUID PISSER has appeared at festivals including ArcTanGent Festival, bringing their volatile and confrontational live show to European audiences. In the U.S., the band has also performed at The Gathering of the Juggalos 2025 and Muddy Roots Fest 2026.
Their growing catalog – including “My Tadpole Legion,” “Dreams of Puke,” and “Vaporize a Neighbor” — has seen multiple vinyl pressings sell out, alongside a steady output of visually striking, concept-driven music videos.

Cleveland’s unholy denizens of the underground, NUNSLAUGHTER, proudly unleash their new album, ‘Satanic Chaos Legions,’ out now via BLKIIBLK. To mark the occasion, the band also shares their new single, “Unsacrament,” alongside an official music video, available below.
On the new track, vocalist Don of the Dead comments:
“‘Unsacrament’ is a declaration of war from the grave. Dragging the rotting corpse of faith through the mire of humanity. Ready to be unbaptized with the flesh of a dying god. This is our anti-gospel.“
A constant in extreme metal and an unyielding inspiration for generations of black metal and thrash provocateurs, NUNSLAUGHTER’s latest hymnal of brutality kicks off with a call to irreligious arms and doesn’t let go until the bloody end. Tracks like the grinding “Peukharist” or the uncompromising “Unsacrament” batter the senses like the bastard offspring of Slayer and ‘Earth A.D.’-era Misfits, inverting crucifixes while worshipping at the hoof of the ibex.
Having already set fire to the international metal scene with festival appearances across the globe and a European tour on the way, make no mistake: NUNSLAUGHTER’s campaign of world-defilement is just beginning.
On the new album, Don of the Dead shares:
“With BLKIIBLK on our side, NUNSLAUGHTER can ram the black horn of Satan down the throats of every metalhead on the planet, spitting fresh venom and blistering hatred directly into the rotting face of Christianity with ‘Satanic Chaos Legions.’“
NUNSLAUGHTER hit the road this summer for a European tour. A full list of dates is below.

Today, rising Los Angeles alt-pop band Evening Elephants release “Lazy Cries,” a new track off their forthcoming debut album Wholeheartedly, Terribly Sweet out July 31st.
Arriving on the heels of the band’s mainstage performance at Gov Ball, which Rolling Stone named “one of the best moments of Gov Ball 2026,” “Lazy Cries” marks the third single to come this year in the band’s new era.
“’Lazy Cries’ is a song on the album we had the pleasure of making with our friend and talented producer, Jason Suwito. The song came together lyrically after having a conversation around relationships and the idea of ‘crying wolf.’
The endless physical cycle of dealing with the same problems over and over until you’re at the point of exhaustion. How many times can you cry about something I’ve fixed or tried to fix? ” -Sam Boggs, Lead Singer of Evening Elephants
The new music captures a defining shift for the band, exploring the tension between the raw, chaotic energy that built their audience and the realities of scaling something bigger. As anticipation builds toward the album’s July 31 release, the band continues to establish themselves as one of alternative pop’s most exciting emerging voices with a Lollapalooza set on the horizon this summer. They will also head on a North American headline tour with legs in Europe and Australia. See below for full North American tour routing.

About Evening Elephants: Evening Elephants, the rising alt-pop band featuring frontman Sam Boggs, are turning grassroots chaos into national momentum. What began at pop-up Los Angeles backyard shows has evolved into sold-out dates, a viral New York City street takeover, and festival slots at Governor’s Ball, Lollapalooza, London Calling, Electric Forest and more.
With over 80 million streams to date, their breakout single “Snow on The Bluff” has surpassed 45 million streams and earned co-signs from Shaun White, Nina Dobrev, and Ana de Armas. The band’s growing profile has also led to major syncs with EA Sports and the NFL, a feature on the in-game soundtrack of the FIFA Heroes video game, and a two-track promotion in McDonald’s x SoundCloud’s FIFA World Cup campaign.
In 2026, Evening Elephants ushered in a new chapter with “Simple Things,” followed by “A Digital Touch,” which NPR praised as one of its “Best New Songs.” Their ascent continued with a standout Governors Ball performance that Rolling Stone called “one of the best moments from Gov Ball 2026.”
Now, the band builds on that breakout year with its latest single, “Lazy Cries,” and momentum continues to build as the band gears up for the release of their debut album, Wholeheartedly, Terribly Sweet, arriving July 31st.
Blending alternative rock, hard rock, and metal, A Heavy Quiet‘s new single, “Downsider,” delivers a powerful commentary on the growing influence of technology and its impact on human connection, mental health, and modern society. The single will be released on June 26, 2026, and can be pre-saved via this link: https://orcd.co/a5pqawa
Created by musicians working across three continents, A Heavy Quiet combines the talents of Derek Graham (guitars, bass programming, and production) and Brett Ditgen (vocals, lyrics, and arrangements), with Jon Symons of Sonic Drive Studio handling mixing, mastering, and drum programming. Guitar and bass tracks are recorded in Shenzhen, China, vocals are recorded in Kansas City, Missouri, and final production takes place in the Netherlands.
Musically, “Downsider” will appeal to fans of Tool, A Perfect Circle, Ghost, and Red Line Chemistry. The track pairs heavy, atmospheric instrumentation with lyrics examining the unintended consequences of technological dependence, including social media addiction, algorithm-driven behavior, isolation, and the increasing role of artificial intelligence in everyday life.
According to Graham, the song’s inspiration came from a simple observation during his daily commute in Shenzhen.
“I always listen to music while going anywhere in Shenzhen,” Graham explains. “I started to notice that no one spoke to other people. There were lines of people sitting and standing and literally every one of them had their heads bowed staring at their phones. That’s when I realized that technology has really become too addictive.”
The song began with a series of rhythm guitar ideas that quickly evolved into something larger. After building the arrangement and recording an initial demo, Graham sent the material to Ditgen, who helped shape the structure and contributed key vocal ideas, including the song’s dramatic middle section.
A Heavy Quiet emphasizes that in addition to “Downsider’s” criticism of the unchecked growth of technology, the band’s own creative process remains entirely human, without the use of AI.
The band’s music is rooted in real-life experiences, drawing inspiration from personal struggles, loss, perseverance, and the challenges people face in everyday life. Their goal is to create songs with emotional depth while addressing issues that resonate across society.
“We are trying to write songs with deep meaning that describe the human condition,” says Graham. “Rock used to be a form of people’s folk music to speak out against things like oppression and the struggles of life. It seems rock got more commercialized and lost its way a bit. Now rock as a genre is growing again, so there is an important resurgence happening. We would be proud to be a part of that.”
Expanding on the song’s message, Ditgen describes “Downsider” as a reflection on the accelerating pace of technological integration and the unintended consequences that accompany it.
“Cell phones, apps, social media, AI, information tracking, psychologically directional algorithms, and so on,” Ditgen says. “All these aspects of technology seemingly beneficial to human progress, interaction, connection, efficiency, complete access to everything in reality are causing the uncontrollable overload of stimulation to levels of decreased mental health and increased dependencies.”
With “Downsider,” A Heavy Quiet delivers a timely and thought-provoking statement wrapped in powerful riffs, memorable melodies, and an unmistakably human perspective.
For fans of emotionally driven alternative metal and hard rock, “Downsider” offers both a warning and a reflection on the world we are creating for ourselves.
And for Worm Chewer, the dirt-covered peasant hero whose bizarre and beloved TikTok adventures have captivated millions of viewers and spawned the ever-expanding world of NETHERWILDS, that can only mean one thing: war, adventure, and perhaps a slightly better life.
Today, NETHERWILDS unveils the official music video for “Return The Goat,” the first chapter in an ambitious fantasy-driven saga that blends extreme metal, medieval folk influences, dark humor, and epic storytelling. The track serves as the opening salvo from the project’s forthcoming debut album, due later this fall via King Volume Records.
Directed by Noah Douglas and Jake Thompson and produced by Nathaniel Min, the video follows Worm Chewer and his newly assembled fellowship as they embark on a quest to recover a missing goat. What begins as a seemingly simple mission quickly unfolds into something far stranger, introducing viewers to the bizarre and captivating world of NETHERWILDS—a realm populated by peasants, kings, mystics, executioners, and revolutionaries.
Regarding the video, Worm Chewer states:
“Though mine goat hath vanished, I hath gained a fellowship of minstrels. Together we roam the kingdom performing our peasant metal in search of the goat, glory, and slightly improved living conditions.
The moving visions within this tapestry mark the start of our legend together and thou art hereby invited to become a part of it. Verily, the next time your lord is distracted by counting his coins, take up thine orb and ponder upon our quest. There are dark and strange times ahead and we shall require every peasant, serf and village fool we can muster.“
Born from the imagination of Tokyo Police Club’s David Monks, NETHERWILDS has grown from a cult online phenomenon into a fully realized musical world where medieval fantasy collides with modern anxieties. Beneath the chainmail, mud, and absurdity lies a story about power, survival, inequality, and the enduring spirit of ordinary people.
Musically, “Return The Goat” offers a glimpse into NETHERWILDS‘ singular approach, combining thrash metal intensity, industrial grit, punk energy, folk instrumentation, and theatrical world-building into something wholly its own. The song marks the beginning of a larger narrative that will continue to unfold throughout the coming months as additional music and details surrounding the project’s debut album are revealed.
