Caroline Breitler has released her new single “Sentinel,” kicking off her own festival season. Together with Alessandro Del Vecchio, Caroline and her band have made a powerful yet melodic debut.
Caroline herself “The title refers to a guardian, an invisible, higher energy—a kind of spirit animal or fateful presence that accompanies us, guides us, and sometimes even pushes us in a new direction. “Sentinel” speaks to this feeling of being guided: in good times and in difficult moments alike. It’s the idea of a force you can rely on, even when the path ahead seems unclear.
Musically, the song unfolds with tremendous dynamism. A driving pulse runs through the track—almost like marching forward, a steady throb that echoes the heartbeat. At the same time, the soundscape repeatedly opens up into ethereal heights, lending the song a floating, almost otherworldly dimension. This blend of intensity, catchiness, and atmospheric depth makes “Sentinel” an experience that immediately sticks with you.”
The song will make its live debut on May 16, 2026, at the Melodic Rock Festival ROCK’N’LOC

After her dramatic success leading Sabaton’s Legendary Orchestra last year Noa Gruman returns with Scardust to support the battlefield bards at the Ergo Arena in Gdansk on 31st May and Lochotin Amphitheater in Plzeň on 3rd June.
Scardust kick off their summer tour in the UK with shows in Stockport and London then head to Poland where Noa will rehearse Sabaton’s choir before playing the two Sabaton shows with Scardust. Two weeks later they headline Revolution Rocks in Belgrade and in July head back to Poland for the Ostrów Rock Festival. Next, it’s off to the USA for a long awaited appearance at Prog Power USA in Atlanta. More dates in Europe will follow in September with details still to be confirmed.
Noa Gruman commented: “We’re thrilled to headline Revolution Rocks – a festival that doesn’t just celebrate live music, but reshapes how it’s experienced. Headlining a stage where artists are empowered and fans can support music directly means a lot to us. We’ll also be there on day two – meeting you, joining the conversations, and sharing the space beyond the stage – so come be part of it with us.”
“We’re incredibly proud to be joining Sabaton – true legends and wonderful people who have been a real inspiration to us. Sharing the stage with Floor Jansen, whose artistry has influenced us for years, and with the fantastic Majestica, makes this lineup especially meaningful. It’s both an honour and a privilege, and we can’t wait to connect with these audiences and share many magical moments together”, she added.

ABOUT SCARDUST: With the release of the band’s first EP, “Shadow” (2015) and the release of their first full length LP. “Sands of Time” (2017) Scardust positioned them as a promising newcomer of the new progressive metal scene. They rapidly rose to the top of the local metal scene, selling out shows and opening for the likes of Symphony X, Therion and Epica and started touring overseas playing festivals and headline shows in Germany, China and the UK as well as continuing to headline shows and festivals at home. From the beginning the band strove for exceptional artistic and instrumental achievement at the highest level and Noa Gruman’s voice captivates her listeners whether with its gentle purity, operatic power or guttural growls. Despite the challenges of Covid-19, 2020 saw the release of their sophomore album “Strangers” accompanied by seven self-produced music videos. Described by Dead Rhetoric as “captivating from start to finish,” Strangers introduced a unique concept album built on complementary song pairs, earning strong critical and fan acclaim. 2022 started on a high note with the visit of folk star Patty Gurdy, who joined Scardust for a live show in Israel and filmed the band’s most viewed video to date, “Concrete Cages”. That summer, the band headlined multiple shows across Europe, performing to packed arenas at Wacken Open Air & Dong Open Air where they earned the praise of Testament’s Steve Di Giorgio who, on hearing the band from backstage, ran out front and watched the entire set ‘mesmerised’. The year concluded with the release of the dramatic one-shot video video “Evolution of the Disney – But She’s METAL” in which Noa weaves her way through a magical metaL arrangement of all the best known Disney Princess songs.
2023 saw Scardust release of Game of Now, a cinematic piece set in a futuristic dystopian live show, play festivals and concerts across Europe and join power metal legends Blind Guardian on tour. The year culminated in the signing of a major multi-album deal with Frontiers Records – heralding the release of the highly anticipated album “Souls”. December 2024 saw the release of My Haven from Souls followed by RIP, Unreachable and Dazzling Darkness. With 2024 being taken up with writing and recording Souls it wasn’t until early 2025 that they were able to announce that Ross Jennings (Haken) was guesting on the album and was to join the band for headline show resulting in the epic Touch of Life video. Towards the end of 2025 Noa Gruman was the featured lead singer and conductor of The Legendary Orchestra on Sabaton’s large-scale European arena Legendary Tour, performing re-imaged versions of Sabaton’s music with orchestral and choral arrangements. The band also announced a lineup change with founding member Orr Didi departing and Bar Sasson joining on bass, as Scardust look ahead to an active 2026 with international touring plans. “Souls is our most ambitious album to date, incorporating Scardust’s signature technical musicianship, and featuring the Hellscore choir and a string quartet throughout the entire album plus guest appearances from some international top tier musicians like Ross Jennings (Haken), Ally Storch (Subway to Sally), a Turkish orchestra and the TLV orchestra. It’s bold, it’s emotional and we hope it resonates deeply wherever it is heard.”
Vermont-based metalcore powerhouse Saving Vice has officially released their highly anticipated new single, “The Shadow”, now available worldwide via Arson Theory. Known for their crushing heaviness blended with cinematic atmosphere, the band delivers a track that is heavy, yet melodic, dynamic, and undeniably raw, solidifying their position at the forefront of modern metalcore.
“The Shadow” serves as a powerful continuation of the band’s evolving narrative. Drawing inspiration from the thematic depth of their previous work, the new single bridges past and present. As the band explains, the song is a callback to their genre roots, pulling together the themes of the last album and singles to conclude a story that began with “Good Days, Dead Eyes” proving that all their music is intricately connected.
Lyrically, “The Shadow” dives into the complexities of human nature and the necessity of balance. It explores the idea of abandoning a binary view of good versus bad, and, instead, embracing the space and nuance in between
“Everything needs balance and if you are too pure you lose to the world and if you are too hateful or angry you lose to yourself,” the band states. “True power and self-actualization is accepting both sides.”
“When I first started writing this song, I knew I wanted to scratch every itch a listener would want – the crazy breakdown, the epic chorus, the emotional bridge,” explained guitarist and producer, Robbie Litchfield. “In that sense, The Shadow was pretty reminiscent of our older stuff. But, as always, I’m pushing myself as a producer to do something new and exciting and progressive and I’m very happy with how this came out.”
In support of the new single, Saving Vice has announced “The Dream Eater Tour,” a sweeping US run that will see the band bringing their intense live performance to fans across the country. Joined by special guests Roderik and Resider, the tour kicks off on May 29 in Manchester, NH, and will make stops in major markets before concluding on June 21 in Ardmore, PA.

ABOUT SAVING VICE
Saving Vice are an independent metalcore band from Vermont who have carved their own path since their formation in 2017. Known for their high-energy live performances and fiercely DIY ethic, the band quickly rose through the New England metal scene before expanding nationally with two full U.S. headlining tours, major festival appearances, and support slots alongside some of the genre’s most respected acts. Their sound bridges nostalgia and modernity – fusing the emotional intensity of late-2000s metalcore with contemporary heaviness and precision. Lyrically, they tackle real-world struggles such as addiction, loss, and heartbreak, crafting songs that are as emotionally charged as they are sonically brutal. Beautifully melodic yet unapologetically dark, Saving Vice continue to redefine what it means to be an independent band in the modern heavy music landscape.
We’ve been meaning to make some noise again… and here we are: yeah, we’re back, and we’re working for you — metalheads and beautiful ladies alike.
To crank things up, we revisited ‘Soulless Stone’ with a brand new version of the track originally featured on our third album “Remission Of Sin”. The spark? A full Rocky saga marathon. That’s when it hit us: this song has everything it takes to land on the soundtrack of a brand new Sly movie.
We’re officially in Hollywood mode. Sly, if you’re out there… give us a sign!!
That’s not all: we’ve also recorded our classic Metal Medley, a blast of pure metal energy that used to set our live shows on fire. It includes Metal God by Judas Priest, Metal Daze by Manowar, and Metal Heart by Accept — a true anthem for real metalheads.
We’d also like to say goodbye to Davide Carraro (who played the guitar solos on this release) and thank him for two years of great music, professionalism, and brotherhood.
At the same time, we welcome Albert Marshall to the lineup — you’ll see him live on June 5th at the SuperMetalFest in Vicenza.
And there’s more: writing for our fifth album is now complete. We’ll hit the studio this summer for the official recordings.
In 2024, acclaimed instrumental post-rock band IF THESE TREES COULD TALK released a single, “Trail Of Whispering Giants,” the group’s first new music in eight years. Fans clamored for more. The wait is over with The Hidden Hand, a full album of nine stellar, provocative songs set for release on July 10th through Metal Blade Records.
As drummer and band-co-founder Zack Kelly explains, “The IF THESE TREES COULD TALK experience feels like a slow, wordless conversation between the inner and outer world best consumed like the score to a cinematic picture or a space for meditation, healing, and clarity.“
“This release means a lot to me not only spiritually but emotionally,” Kelly, who co-founded the band with drummer-brother Cody Kelly in 2005, continues. “There were a lot of up-and-downs during the making of this album and the journey took longer than anticipated, but the end goal is to make music that holds an emotional imprint, and I hope we have succeeded.”
The Hidden Hand offers the same range of dark and ambient landscapes as the band’s previous offerings but also brings a feeling of resolution. “As we all get older and our musical tastes evolve, it’s more of a challenge to keep the sound of the band in a specific lane and not venture too far away from where we originally started.”
IF THESE TREES COULD TALK focuses on capturing sonic power, utilizing the three guitars to cover different areas of the spectrum. Kelly elaborates, “It’s almost the same way an orchestra would be set up with the bass guitar covering cello, the rhythm guitars holding down the woodwind section and the lead guitarist covering the strings section. No matter who comes up with a riff or where it starts, the end product must always have these three components present especially when transitioning from clean to heavy tones.”
Longtime fans and newcomers alike will thrill to the album’s stunning first single, “Blurry Creatures.” Kelly notes, “The track embodies the raw nature of the IF THESE TREES COULD TALK sound by incorporating unrelenting riffs with epic highs and lows, ambient syncopated delays and a battle chant that stimulates the senses.“
