Following on from the release of their earlier single ‘Ease Up’ late last year, THE ASTRONAUTS gear up for their loved up, fuzzed up new single ‘More Than Friends‘, out now on Flip Flop Records, with a new album to follow later in ’26.
“‘More Than Friends’ is a song about falling deeply into someone—moving beyond the innocent phase and into something more intense and consuming. It captures that overwhelming moment when emotions hit you all at once, bringing both panic and ecstasy. At its core, it’s a song about young love—the excitement, the uncertainty, and the courage it takes to push past your fears and go after something that truly matters to you. It’s about finding the confidence within yourself to take that leap.”
The Astronauts are Benjamin Fox and Gordon Cooper, American musicians collaborating transatlantically between Detroit and Ireland. In addition to their work as The Astronauts, Fox and Cooper also compose and record under the name Irish Lights, an ambient instrumental project inspired by the timeless beauty and solitude of Ireland’s lighthouses.
Beyond their own music, the duo operates Sleeping in Space LLC, a boutique Detroit-based label dedicated to releasing independent and forward-thinking music.

WHITECHAPEL are launching the tour announcement with a brand new video for the song “Nothing is Coming for Any of Us“, check it out here:
WHITECHAPEL‘s Hymns In Dissonance finds the band reinventing themselves, going darker, deeper, and heavier than ever before. Revolver lauded “a blistering attack of ground-fissuring blasts, terror-thrashed guitar melodies and guts-hucking mosh sections.” Metal Injection concurred noting, “it’s heavy as shit, it’s unrelenting, and it will destroy you.” MetalSucks championed, “one of WHITECHAPEL’s heaviest offerings since the glory days of The Somatic Defilement and This Is Exile,” adding, “It captures that same raw energy and mouth-frothing rage in a way that… hasn’t been seen for quite some time, but with a new and improved modern twist borne of the nearly twenty years of experience they have accumulated since then,” while Blabbermouth hailed the band’s “…white-knuckle, weaponized deathcore with brains, brawn, and a point to prove. Hold on to your helmets.”
The record earned the #2 position on Billboard’s Current Hard Rock Albums chart, #3 on Independent Label Current Albums chart, #4 on the Current Rock Albums chart and #7 on the Digital Albums chart upon its first week of release.
Hymns In Dissonance is available now on CD, vinyl, and digital formats.

After more than a decade at the forefront of modern metal, internationally acclaimed vocalist Alissa White-Gluz is entering a powerful new chapter with the launch of her new band, BLUE MEDUSA.
Known for her commanding voice, unmistakable stage presence, and trailblazing role in extreme metal, White-Gluz has built a career defined by momentum and reinvention. Widely recognized as one of the longest-serving female death metal vocalists, she has spent two decades performing on the world’s biggest stages and earning a reputation as one of the genre’s most electrifying frontwomen.
White-Gluz was at the forefront of Arch Enemy’s most successful years in the band’s history, expanding their global audience and performing on the world’s biggest metal stages. Across multiple bands, collaborations and projects throughout her career, White-Gluz has consistently helped push heavy music into new territory. Now, with BLUE MEDUSA, White-Gluz sets her sights on pushing that legacy even further.
Fans can expect the same signature ferocity, theatrical energy and vocal firepower that have defined White-Gluz’s career, now unleashed in a fresh, expansive and electrifying setting.
“Blue Medusa is the next evolution of everything I’ve been building toward for years,” says White-Gluz. “It’s my creative melting pot. Everything fans enjoy about the energy, intensity, and performance they’ve always experienced on stage with me over the past two decades is still here, even stronger. That is me, that is who I am and who I’ve always been. And now it’s amplified and unleashed in a fully sovereign artistic vision. Our music has blazing guitar solos, crushing riffs, brutal vocals, fast and aggressive drums, thoughtful melodies and most importantly (to me), really cogitative lyrics.”
Known for pairing ferocious vocals with thoughtful and introspective lyricism, White-Gluz’s writing channels catharsis, resilience, philosophy and intellectual and emotional depth.
BLUE MEDUSA consists of a trio of world-class musicians; White-Gluz has guitarists Alyssa Day and Dani Sophia at her sides. “The musical chemistry I feel with these women is really bringing me back to life. It is so refreshing and exciting,” says White-Gluz of her fellow gorgons. On stage, on drums and bass, White-Gluz hints that two women at the top of their musical game will be joining her; Delaney Jaster and Alicia Vigil respectively.
“I specifically chose to share this news on International Women’s Day because building stronger platforms for women in heavy music is something I care deeply about. I am brewing up a lot of ideas right now, my brain is in full creative flow. I’ve been carving my own path in this genre for a long time, and I want to help pave the way for the next generation of women who love metal as much as I do. Medusa turned people to stone… I want to pave the road in sapphire.”
With new music coming very soon and live performances already lining up with the band’s live debuts at Louder Than Life and Aftershock festivals, BLUE MEDUSA is taking off like lightning and marks the beginning of an exciting new era for metal fans.
Italian symphonic death metal band Nefastis mark the release of their new studio album “Shadows At The Light Of Dawn”, out today, March 6th, 2026, a concept work unfolding across four acts and conceived as a single, continuous sonic journey. Alongside the album release, the band also unveiled the official video for the track “Vortex Of Light”, one of the record’s most intense and dynamically layered compositions.
Conceived as a concept album unfolding across four acts, “Shadows At The Light Of Dawn” develops as a continuous narrative and sonic journey set in a bleak post-apocalyptic world. Each act opens with an instrumental composition that introduces the atmosphere of the chapter ahead, allowing the record to evolve as a cohesive listening experience in which orchestral textures, progressive structures, and extreme metal intensity coexist within a single dramatic arc.
Across its twelve tracks, the album blends symphonic death metal with elements drawn from classical music, progressive rock, and extreme metal traditions. Violent riff-driven passages alternate with melancholic orchestral interludes and expansive progressive arrangements, creating a constantly shifting dynamic landscape that reinforces the narrative dimension of the work.
Following the release of the singles “Shadow Spell” and “Stardust”, the album now emerges in its complete form, revealing the full scope of the band’s vision. At the center of this new chapter stands “Vortex Of Light,” accompanied by a newly released official video. The track embodies the album’s dual identity: energetic thrash-death riffing and relentless rhythmic drive merge with symphonic layers and melodic tension, striking a powerful balance between aggression and atmosphere.
Formed in 2008 by Andrea Lenzi and Simone Colombo, Nefastis debuted with the concept album “De Diebus Fastis, Nefastis, Infaustis”. After a period of inactivity and lineup changes, the band gradually reshaped its musical identity, evolving from its original thrash/death roots toward a broader symphonic death metal direction.
With “Shadows At The Light Of Dawn”, the band consolidates that evolution. The album expands the orchestral dimension already hinted at in earlier material while strengthening the progressive approach to songwriting, resulting in a record that is both technically intricate and narratively cohesive.
Recorded across several studios in Italy and mixed by Frank Altare at 33Hz Studio, the album was mastered by Toni Lindgren at the renowned Fascination Street Studios in Sweden, known for his work with acts such as Angra, Amorphis, Kreator, Dimmu Borgir, and Opeth.
Blending symphonic grandeur, progressive structures, and extreme metal intensity, “Shadows At The Light Of Dawn” represents the most ambitious and fully realized chapter in the band’s journey so far.

On April 10th internationally, Aesthetic Death is proud to present CAVE DWELLER‘s new opus “showing teeth” on CD format.
The first single “Amanita Bisporigera” is now streaming HERE.
“showing teeth” is the third installment in the CAVE DWELLER experience.
To those familiar with CAVE DWELLER’s previous albums, “showing teeth” might feel something of a shift in impetus. Albeit a natural shift, that gives the necessary audial picture to the themes portrayed in the novel that underpins this trilogy of albums.
Bryant seamlessly develops and interweaves his sounds and narratives into an exciting and encapsulating album. One which stands alone – but also works together as part of this trilogy.
With clear elements of the dark/neo folk that flowed more liberally through the previous albums – “showing teeth” also brings a new level of visceral intensity, there is a heaviness and gritty angst that isn’t so obvious within the first albums. In Bryant’s other projects (pando, Unfold etc), there is an empathy towards drone, experimental and doomy/sludgy tones – all of which are more more prevalent on “showing teeth” – with an almost Neurosis-style-vibe flowing through the album.
Featuring the spoken words of Ariel Bryant and Stuart Harris (Sect 37, Hivemind), both of whom add an exciting dimension to this CAVE DWELLER work.
Anyone who has enjoyed previous material from Bryant – whether through the mediums of pando, Unfold or CAVE DWELLER – will certainly find “showing teeth” to be an exciting and enduring listen.
Tracklist:
1- The Savage Face of Tekoa 2- Appalachian Alchemy 3- Sunirse Offering (The Valley as an Altar) 4- Amanita Bisporigera 5- Panacea
On April 10th internationally, Aesthetic Death is proud to present DEMONOLOGISTS and VAINORAS’ new collaborative album, “Plantae Arcanvs”, on CD format.
The first single “Verbana Officinalis” is now streaming HERE.
From unexpected unions come wondrous creations.
DEMONOLOGISTS, a familiar and much-loved friend of Aesthetic Death, who are renowned for their version of blackened horror electronix.
Whilst VAINORAS, at first glance, comes from a seemingly contrsting musical direction – Terry Vainoras is an Australian multi-instrumentalist, both highly skilled and experienced. Known for his work with his doom band – Subterranean Disposition. In more recent years he has grown a reputation for his downtempo jazz-influenced doom-ridden loungecore – especially with VAINORAS and the Altar Of The Drill.
“Plantae Arcanvs” is a collaboration in the true sense of the word.
VAINORAS brings voice, guitar and tenor saxophone that is at times melodic, yet other times dissonant and squalling to the dark sprawling DEMONOLOGISTS world of sound.
Amidst it all is a subtle eeriness, a lysergic glow – which perfectly fits the album concept, Plamtae Arcanvs being a compendium of poisonous, hallucinogenic plants
This is a rare album – two artists combining and creating something as great as the sum of their parts. An album with an organic and seamless feel – as if this union was intact for years. It represents everything that is wonderful about collaboration and exploring boundaries of dark and underground music
Check this out with an open mind – or, even better, through the psychotropic eyes of the Plantae Arcanvs
