Mastord is a Finnish progressively rocking project that has released two albums Trail Of Consequence 2019 and To Whom Bow Even The Trees 2021. Third album, Lemmon Lintu, was released on February 14, 2025, exactly six years after the debut album.
A lot has changed since the last release. The singing language has changed from English to Finnish, the soundscape has become lighter and new people have brought their strong expertise to the music.
Guitarist and songwriter Kari Syvelä backgrounds the new album: “When all is lost and life slowly dwindles away, a journey begins from which there is no return. “Raven” takes the listener to the depths of the soul, where loneliness, the longing for abandonment are the only companions and comfort. In this story, man steps into the enchanting shadow of the black bird and walks towards the edge of death, but not only towards the end, but towards a new way of being.
The journey is not just about letting go, it is also a journey of self-discovery – no longer in the human, but in a much larger and freer sense. Going ever deeper, grief and despair turn into understanding, and finally, somewhere in the darkest night, death is no longer an end but a transformation.
Lemmon Lintu is not only an album about death, but also about life after death. In this story, a man who has lost himself finds a new life – no longer as a man, but as a raven, doing his work as an altruistic, humble and most respectful escort to the afterlife. In the end, the raven’s song is no longer just a call to death, but the soothing sound of life and death merging together, telling us that even when we lose everything, we can still find something in ourselves that will never die.”

GODSLAVE releases new single and video ‘Don’t Call Me White’ – the song is originally by NOFX and is part of the tribute album ‘Champions’ which will be released digitally on 14 March on Metalville Records.
It’s no secret that thrash metal has a lot in common with punk! So it should come as no surprise that GODSLAVE fire several punk songs at the listener on their tribute album ‘Champions’ – one of which is familiar to all rock fans aged 35 to 45 – ‘Don’t call me white’ by NOFX – the anthem of an entire generation! So did singer Thommy, who, according to his own statement, ‘comes from punk anyway’ and found his ‘calling’ with this song as a teenager in 1994 and knew that he wanted to do something like that! The song’s message of not wanting to be judged by others was a perfect fit for Teenie-Thommy back then! GODSLAVE have clearly put their own stamp on their version of ‘Don’t call me white’ – punk choirs become double lead guitars – punk becomes thrash metal! What an arse kicking! In the video, the band perform the song in a wrestling ring and defend themselves against metal police who hand out bells every time they mess up – GODSLAVE’s very own version of ‘Let me be who Iam and stop judging me’!
Here it is – the long-awaited highlight of the GODSLAVE 15th anniversary celebrations: ‘Champions’.
A special tribute album with which the five Saarlanders pay homage to the bands and songs – their ‘champions’ – that inspired them to make music themselves. The return to the origins, the pure passion for music, has contributed significantly to the fact that GODSLAVE still exist (the band have relentlessly revealed the background to this in their documentary ‘Hinter der Kulisse’).
As you could have guessed from the 4 pre-release singles, there are a few surprises on ‘Champions’ that will raise your eyebrows. Punk songs by PENNYWISE, NOFX and THE OFFSPRING rub shoulders with classic metal songs by ICED EARTH, MOTÖRHEAD, WHIPLASH, JUDAS PRIEST and THE HAUNTED. But nobody would have expected GODSLAVE to seriously cover LIMP BIZKIT. ‘Full Nelson’ is GODSLAVE’s very own version of the global hit, which only lets the original shine through when you listen closely.
Among the surprises are SAMAEL, DOG EATH DOG, DIE TOTEN HOSEN, SENTENCED and last but not least: DAVID HASSELHOFF!
The passion with which GODSLAVE approached these songs makes us eager for the next album with their own songs in early 2026!
On the heels of the tremendous success of The Morrison Projectand #1 song “Crack Cocaine”, rock guitarist Billy Morrison and Ozzy Osbourne release an epic new single “Gods of Rock N Roll” on Valentine’s Day, 14th February through TLG|ZOID, distributed by Virgin Music Group. Fans got their first listen when Ozzy’s Boneyard on Sirius XM premiered the song on January 17th, and now the song is already a Top 20 Billboard Mainstream Rock hit coming in at #18 this week!!
“Ozzy and I have breathed new life into what we always felt was a huge song. GODS OF ROCK N ROLL was written ten years ago in a South American hotel room, but with this re-recording we both feel we have finally made the song what it was always meant to be – a huge emotive ballad,” says Morrison.
He adds, “A huge portion of the song was completely re-recorded, the 61 piece Budapest Scoring Orchestra recorded the orchestral score composed by Fred Coury, and then the John Burroughs High School choir were added. Barry Pointer had the unenviable task of mixing 132 tracks and he did an incredible job. The end result is what happens when Ozzy Osbourne makes some suggestions, and Billy Morrison listens!”
The orchestral score was composed and arranged by Fred Coury, and the song was mixed by Barry Pointer and mastered by David Donnelly. The recording features the renowned Budapest Scoring Orchestra. ”Gods of Rock N Roll” showcases the talents of Billy Morrison on guitar, Ozzy Osbourne on vocals, and Steve Stevens on lead guitar.
Morrison states, “Having the opportunity to include everyone that was involved in the making of Gods of Rock ‘n’ Roll and shoot it all for the video at NRG Studios was a dream come true for me. It was an amazing vibe, Ivo the Director captured the intimacy, and the fun that we had, and I believe the video truly represents the spirit of the song that Ozzy and I wrote. It’s wide reaching, cinematic and shows just how amazing Ozzy is to work with. I’m honored to be putting this out into the world.”
Ozzy told Kerrang!, “Billy and I wrote GODS OF ROCK N ROLL together in a hotel room while I was touring in South America about 10 years ago. This re-recorded version of the song finally has all the bells and whistles. I told Billy then that it needed an orchestra and a choir, but it took 10 FUCKING YEARS for him to listen to me.”
To add to the excitement, Morrison is set to release a deluxe digital edition ofThe Morrison Project album on February 21st. This special edition will be released through TLG|ZOID, distributed by Virgin Music Group. The deluxe edition features six previously unreleased bonus tracks, including “Gods of Rock N Roll.” There is also a “stripped down” mix of just the orchestra and Ozzy that will be available soon.
Morrison explains,“I have always wanted the opportunity to do an expanded, ‘Deluxe’ version of a record. It’s basically where you get to have some fun, remix some things, and include songs that mean something personal. Thanks to the guys at TLG ZOID, I have been given that opportunity! So to have YOUTH from KILLING JOKE actually mix an amazing dub version of We Are The Dead, to have JEFF LANE throw down an incredibly different remix of Crack Cocaine, and to have my track with Cypress Hill all on the extra disc is just a fantastic feeling! Plus I got the opportunity to remix Dystopia myself and did the whole half-time vibe that I was originally playing with, back when I wrote it.”

You want it true, heavy and loud? You love the 80s and you would die for pure fuckin’ Heavy Metal? Then LÖANSHARK is your band! You will find everything your metal heart is beating for within their traditional sound, that takes no prisoners!
Today, the Barcelona-based heavy metal trio unleashes their scorching, first full-length studio album No Sins To Confess! Out today via ROAR, No Sins To Confessis now available at this location: https://loanshark.rpm.link/nosinspr
Everything about LÖANSHARK is old-school and like a flashback into the early 80s metal scene. “This is what we feel and what we are, so it’s kinda impossible for us to not sound old-school, because it is in our DNA”, bassist Aless recently said. You will find that spirit within their sound, artwork, their logo or their look. ”For the cover artwork, we wanted that 80’s movie atmosphere, something eye catchy, dangerous, exciting and sexy! So we have choosen a smoky alley as the setting, long and sexy female legs, that hide a lethal weapon behind them, and there we are, about to die at the hands of this hitwoman who already has “another man in the trunk”. We want to maintain that “mafia” atmosphere in our work, we want it to be our identifying seal, in accordance with the name we chose for the band.”
LÖANSHARK was founded as a power-trio in 2017, in the heart of Barcelona and is currently taking the scene by storm as an uprising star on the NWOTHM heaven, just alongside Spanish fellow acts such as HITTEN, SAVAGED, WITCHTOWER or IRON CURTAIN. Following their 2018 debut EP “The Warning Session” and two singles – including their Underground hit “Fast, Heavy, Loud’N Proud” – which were all featured on the “The Gangland Tapes” CD in 2021, now, LÖANSHARK has finally released their long-awaited No Sins To Confess.
The album also features re-recorded, early tracks “Machine Gunner” and “Heavy Metal Addicts” as well as a cover version of NWOBHM cult band MARSEILLE and their track “Open Fire”. In the end you will get ten exciting tracks of a young band, that is obviously on fire. ”I think we managed to sound fresh within the genre”, summarises Aless. “Obviously we play traditional heavy metal and that aura is going to reach you when you hear it, but at the same time we try to ensure that no riff reminds you explicitly of any other song. Another virtue we have is, that we are what you hear on the album. We try not to be pretentious with the production and when you see us live you will get a very similar experience. People are usually surprised by our live sound, created by just three crazy people.“
British blues-rock powerhouse Joanne Shaw Taylor continues to build anticipation for her forthcoming album Black & Gold with the release of her latest single, “Hell Of A Good Time”—an energetic, hard-hitting track that blends her signature fiery guitar work with infectious rock & roll swagger. The song delivers a raucous, no-holds-barred performance while carrying a deeper reflection on the fleeting nature of excess and escape.
“Hell Of A Good Time” is a song about how sometimes a party isn’t really a party at all,” Joanne explains. “How drinking to excess and always being the life and soul of the party is usually one person’s way of running away from themselves. Unfortunately, that lifestyle can’t last forever and usually ends up not being a lot of fun.”
With lyrics like “Rolling through town, I’ll burn it down just like wildfire / Singing and sinning, I like living like a live wire,” Joanne captures the exhilarating highs and inevitable lows of living on the edge. Driven by pulsating rhythms, blistering guitar riffs, and anthemic choruses, “Hell Of A Good Time” showcases Joanne at her most uninhibited, bringing an electrifying energy to the Black & Gold track list.
Set for release on June 13th via Joe Bonamassa’s Journeyman Records, Black & Gold pushes the boundaries of blues-rock, weaving in elements of Americana, indie rock, and retro ‘80s pop to create a sound that is as expansive as it is deeply personal. The album explores themes of resilience, self-discovery, and the complexities of human connection, balancing raw vulnerability with bold, fearless innovation.
“Hell Of A Good Time” follows an impressive line-up of recent singles, each offering a unique glimpse into the album’s depth and range. Her latest, “Grayer Shade of Blue,” explores a once close friendship that ended abruptly. “Who’s Gonna Love Me Now” delved into themes of grief and healing, while “I Gotta Stop Letting You Let Me Down” delivered a powerful statement on self-worth and breaking toxic cycles. The deeply reflective “Grayer Shade Of Blue” explored the bittersweet emotions of moving on from a past relationship, adding another layer of emotional depth to the album. Earlier tracks like “All The Things I Said” and Joanne’s soul-stirring cover of Sam Sparro’s “Black & Gold” further demonstrate the album’s dynamic storytelling and genre-defying spirit.
Joanne’s ability to seamlessly fuse deeply personal narratives with hard-hitting blues-rock anthems has solidified her status as one of the most innovative voices in modern blues. Praised by legends like Stevie Wonder and Annie Lennox and backed by Kevin Shirley’s masterful production, Black & Gold promises to be a career-defining release that cements Joanne’s place at the forefront of the genre.
Joanne’s prolific creativity and relentless evolution make her a perfect fit for Joe Bonamassa’s Journeyman Records, a label dedicated to giving artists the freedom to release music on their own terms. This partnership ensures that every song Joanne releases reaches fans exactly as intended—without industry constraints, allowing her artistry to shine.
Joanne is set to bring her high-energy live performances to audiences across the country, kicking off with Keeping The Blues Alive at Sea X from March 21-26, 2025, followed by an extensive U.S. Spring Tour. Fans can expect to hear new material from Black & Gold alongside beloved fan favorites, all delivered with Joanne’s signature passion and electrifying stage presence.

Based in Athens, Greece, KING GARCIA is a quartet that sings its soul out without using any lyrics. Formed on a cold October evening in 2019, the members bring a wealth of experience from their previous and current projects, including Mother of Millions (Kostas), POEM (Kamil), Tardive Dyskinesia (Kornilios), and Bandallusia (Alex).
KING GARCIA crafts instrumental, cinematic music that gazes at red-dawn skies. At times soothing like a hot summer afternoon, their sound can also morph into a dark and ominous cold evening. The scene zooms out and into the presence of light, a moody, mellow spark at the end of a long tunnel.
“Hamelin,” the band’s debut album, was recorded in Athens, Greece. Produced, mixed, and mastered by the acclaimed Hector D, the album was tracked at Noisy King Music Residence and Eightyard studios.
The album will be out on April 18 via ViciSolum Productions and is now available for pre-order HERE
