GODSLAVE present the single “Reset, Rebuilt, Reclaim” – the new studio album will be released on September 11 at Metalville.
Does this sound familiar? You know full well that something has to change. That things can’t go on like this.
And yet you’re still treading water.
That’s exactly what “Reset, Rebuild, Reclaim”, the long-awaited new single from GODSLAVE, is all about.
Sometimes there’s no way around it: you have to pull the ripcord. Close old chapters. Painful, exhausting, frightening. But necessary.
Reset – draw a line under it once and for all.
Rebuild – stop whinging, roll up your sleeves.
Reclaim – be proud of what you’ve created.
“Reset, Rebuild, Reclaim” is a forceful statement against stagnation and excuses. A musically fierce kick up the backside for everyone who has long known what needs to be done but isn’t making any progress.
And the message isn’t without reason: GODSLAVE have gone through this very process themselves. After turbulent years, the five Saarlanders are now drawing conclusions from everything they’ve learnt. On 11 September 2026, with their self-titled album, they reclaim their position as arguably Germany’s most consistently positive thrash metal band.
Right now. Precisely because the world around us feels like it’s getting crazier by the day.
Because resignation has never been an option.

GODSLAVE releases new single and video ‘Stay Hungry’ – the song, originally by TWISTED SISTER, and is part of the tribute album ‘Champions’ which will be released digitally on 14 March on Metalville Records.
GODSLAVE make music to play it live! And you can see that – the passion of the band, the interaction with the fans, that’s what has characterised GODSLAVE for 15 years!
For drummer Tobi, TWISTED SISTER’s live performance at Graspop 2016 was a revelation. He brings the energy and passion of this performance to his drumming at every show, driving the Saarlanders mercilessly forward.
‘Stay hungry’ is an anthem made for GODSLAVE – even after 15 years, the five-piece are still hungry and can hardly wait to get on the stage every time. Yes, not every move works like it used to and the sore muscles afterwards last for more than just one day… but it’s still full throttle from start to finish – with lots of fun in their cheeks!
Stay hungry is the last single before the release of the entire tribute album ‘Champions’ on 21 February – then there will be another 16 (!) previously unheard songs – with one or two big surprises.
On their own landing page, the guys provide background information on the album and the selection of songs: http://www.godslave.de/15years.
In the video, GODSLAVE singer Thommy and the mysterious wrestler La Catrina prepare for their show – they are to compete against each other for the big prize – the band’s own championship belt! And even if the show quickly takes a bad turn for Thommy: he won’t give up, Stay hungry – Feel the fire – Stay hungry – With desire
Here it is – the long-awaited highlight of the GODSLAVE 15th anniversary celebrations: ‘Champions’.
A special tribute album with which the five Saarlanders pay homage to the bands and songs – their ‘champions’ – that inspired them to make music themselves. The return to the origins, the pure passion for music, has contributed significantly to the fact that GODSLAVE still exist (the band have relentlessly revealed the background to this in their documentary ‘Hinter der Kulisse’).
As you could have guessed from the 4 pre-release singles, there are a few surprises on ‘Champions’ that will raise your eyebrows. Punk songs by PENNYWISE, NOFX and THE OFFSPRING rub shoulders with classic metal songs by ICED EARTH, MOTÖRHEAD, WHIPLASH, JUDAS PRIEST and THE HAUNTED. But nobody would have expected GODSLAVE to seriously cover LIMP BIZKIT. ‘Full Nelson’ is GODSLAVE’s very own version of the global hit, which only lets the original shine through when you listen closely.
Among the surprises are SAMAEL, DOG EATH DOG, DIE TOTEN HOSEN, SENTENCED and last but not least: DAVID HASSELHOFF!
The passion with which GODSLAVE approached these songs makes us eager for the next album with their own songs in early 2026!
GODSLAVE releases new single and video ‘Don’t Call Me White’ – the song is originally by NOFX and is part of the tribute album ‘Champions’ which will be released digitally on 14 March on Metalville Records.
It’s no secret that thrash metal has a lot in common with punk! So it should come as no surprise that GODSLAVE fire several punk songs at the listener on their tribute album ‘Champions’ – one of which is familiar to all rock fans aged 35 to 45 – ‘Don’t call me white’ by NOFX – the anthem of an entire generation! So did singer Thommy, who, according to his own statement, ‘comes from punk anyway’ and found his ‘calling’ with this song as a teenager in 1994 and knew that he wanted to do something like that! The song’s message of not wanting to be judged by others was a perfect fit for Teenie-Thommy back then! GODSLAVE have clearly put their own stamp on their version of ‘Don’t call me white’ – punk choirs become double lead guitars – punk becomes thrash metal! What an arse kicking! In the video, the band perform the song in a wrestling ring and defend themselves against metal police who hand out bells every time they mess up – GODSLAVE’s very own version of ‘Let me be who Iam and stop judging me’!

GODSLAVE cover SAMAEL, excuse me? GODSLAVE were influenced by SAMAEL, SAY WHAT?
That’s what the five guys from Saarland are all about – 5 completely different guys with very different tastes and influences – united in what has characterised the band for 15 years – thrash metal with a positive attitude!
But Samael in particular… Bassist Mika was always fascinated by the Swiss band because they were so ‘different’. Mika has always been particularly impressed by ‘Rain’ and the cover of the song is impressive – certainly an unexpected choice, but also certainly a bombastic result. Singer Thommy puts his own stamp on the whole thing – Manni’s versatile leads provide the icing on the cake. What a stunner!
In 2023, GODSLAVE played together with SAMAEL at the ‘Baden in Blut’ festival and by then it was clear that the song had to be part of the tribute album ‘Champions’, which will be released with a whopping 20 songs on 21 February.
GODSLAVE have created their own landing page for their tour de force through their strongest influences, where you can find all the information about the journey and the background to the song selection: https://godslave.de/15years
GODSLAVE brings thrash and metalcore together with ‘To the Rats’! Guitarist Manni took inspiration from TRIVIUM’s ‘The Crusade’ and toiled to master Matt Heafy’s style – the result?
A cover that almost sounds like a GODSLAVE original. This playlist celebrates the powerful sound and dedication behind every riff. For fans of brute thrash and true metal tributes, ‘To the Rats’ is an absolute must!
GODSLAVE have released a documentary film to mark the band’s 15th anniversary. The movie is called “Hinter der Kulisse – ein Blick in die Seele einer Metalband” (Behind the scenes – a look into the soul of a metal band) and can be watched below.
2024 is a special year for the guys from GODSLAVE in Saarbrücken – they are celebrating their 15th birthday, which almost didn’t happen … the 15 years have been hard-earned and that should be celebrated!
In their own documentary: HINTER DER KULISSE – The relentlessly honest look at the people behind the metal band GODSLAVE.
…when the common dream, for which you have bled so much, threatens to fail – what do you do then…?
A documentary that takes you behind the scenes of the metal band GODSLAVE: …unpleasant – gruelling – relentlessly honest! A documentary that shows what otherwise remains hidden: the people behind the musicians, who are happy, who suffer, who can no longer but still want to! A documentary deliberately without glitz & glamour – about brotherhood and humanity!
This documentary is a vehement statement in favour of an empathetic approach to mental health in the metal scene – the five musicians lay their souls and their vulnerability on the table for all to see. Only within the band they were often not so open with each other and that almost cost them their common dream…
GODSLAVE want to make a contribution to metal musicians being more open with each other and thus being able to maintain their shared passion – with a lot of joy in the music and the community. At the same time, GODSLAVE also show all fans the struggles that have to be fought behind the scenes to make a CD or a show possible in the first place.
The documentary and further information on what GODSLAVE will be releasing as part of their birthday celebrations can also be found at www.godslave.de/15years
