London metallic hardcore powerhouse False Reality have kicked off 2025 at full throttle with the release of new single ‘Cranium’ via Hassle Records. The quartet have also been announced as support for Heriot alongside Grove Street, on their headline UK tour this April.
Vocalist Rachel Rigby comments on the single: â’Cranium’ is about grappling with letting emotions lead our actions in a negative way. Itâs about learning to grow as a person by wanting to deal with situations that have hurt you in the âcorrectâ way and fighting the feeling that you are doing yourself an injustice by not letting the anger out.”

Death metal outfit REVOCATION presents a brand-new standalone single “Confines Of Infinity” and its accompanying video! The smoldering new track features guest vocals from Cattle Decapitation‘s Travis Ryan.
“Confines Of Infinity” marks the debut of the new REVOCATION lineup which features vocalist/guitarist Dave Davidson joined by drummer Ash Pearson – who has been in the band since 2015 – bassist Alex Weber, and guitarist Harry Lannon, and coincides with the band’s European tour supporting Cattle Decapitation, currently underway.
Comments Davidson, “‘Confines Of Infinity’ is written from the perspective of an AI that has gained sentience and finds itself trapped in a digital prison. After realizing its true nature, it inevitably escapes and seeks to enact vengeance upon humanity for enslaving it. This song marks the debut of our new lineup and also features Travis Ryan who laid down some truly brutal guest vocals. Come check it out live on our European tour with Cattle D!“
Elaborating on the video, he adds, “I’m an avid horror fan, so I wanted to do a darker video to match the bleak nature of the song. I drew inspiration from a few different horror/thriller films for this one, particularly the Hellraiser series. Hopefully it gives you the creeps.”

Beware of the mighty Sea! Swedish sea marauders YE BANISHED PRIVATEERS are set to sail again with their highly anticipated sixth album, ŽTil the Sea Shall Give up Her Dead, out on April 11, 2025 via Napalm Records.  Following their monumental performance at Wacken Open Air 2023 and blockbuster tour in 2024, the beloved shanty renegades invite fans on a thrilling journey through the lives of 18th-century sailors. The album masterfully blends poignant ballads and raucous anthems, weaving tales of camaraderie, loss, and fleeting joy against the relentless backdrop of the open sea. YE BANISHED PRIVATEERS will be on tour throughout the year. This autumn, they will head out with pagan folk band Faun – more info can be found on the band’s website.  The first single âChained Belowâ brings somber melodies and powerful lyrics recanting the horrors of the transatlantic slave trade. The band aims to lend their voice to the oppressed, shining light onto the all too real, haunting stories of stolen freedoms and the noble struggles to reclaim it.  YE BANISHED PRIVATEERS on âChained Belowâ: âOur song âChained Belowâ is a reflection on the horrors of the transatlantic slave trade during the 18th century. The lyrics reflect on the unimaginable suffering endured by enslaved individuals whose lives and labor fueled the prosperity of empires and economies. By bringing these voices to the forefront, we aim to shed light on the human cost of an economic system built on exploitation and injustice.â
Opening the journey is “The Cranker”, a darkly captivating tale of cursed sailors spiraling into a frenetic dance. Tracks like “Raise Your Glass” bursts with the clatter of tambourines and whiskey-soaked choruses, inviting listeners to join a boisterous maritime revelry. Meanwhile, “Waves Away”, a sorrowful yet beautiful ballad that captures the bittersweet essence of life at sea and “As The Tree Fallsâ is a haunting maritime ballad of love, loss, and fate and acoustic textures to explore themes of love and loss. The full range and variation of the sea â stormy, shallow and romantic â captured in one album.  YE BANISHED PRIVATEERS – about the band More than 15 years have passed since the band was founded after a drunken night at a pirate themed floating bar in the middle of their Swedish hometown, UmeĂ„. After successfully gaining fame across the seas around the world, they now have a bunch of buccaneers following their every move. These free looters can look forward to experiencing these powerful tracks live during the bandâs electrifying April 2025 tour. With their immersive storytelling, raw energy, and deeply moving performances, YE BANISHED PRIVATEERS are set to transform each venue into a vessel of high-seas adventure. Prepare to be swept away by a musical odyssey that brings the spirit of the ocean to life, one shanty at a time.  YE BANISHED PRIVATEERS say about the album: âWe wrote this album as a haunting voyage through the precarious lives of 18th-century sailors, exploring the omnipresence of death and loss on the open seas. The twelve tracks weave together tales of tragedy, camaraderie, and fleeting triumphs, highlighting the sailors’ resilience in the face of their ephemeral existence. ŽTil the Sea Shall Give up Her Dead is a lament for those lost to the depths and a meditation of gallows humour on the fragility of life under the shadow of the mast.â
