The newly signed HORIZON IGNITED proudly announce the upcoming release of their long player “Towards The Dying Lands“. After the massive title single “Towards The Dying Lands“, the Finnish sextet is now revealing the next banger from their highly anticipated album.
The Finns deliver their brand new single “Reveries” including a new stunning music video to heat up and celebrate the upcoming next big milestone in their career. The highly endowed newcomers of melodic death metal convince once again with fiery riffs and they show what you can expect in the near future. The album is available for pre-order now!
The band commenting on the new single: “Reveries is a song about losing all your hope and drowning into despair that you can not escape from. What is it like to lose the grip of yourself and your humanity? How deep are the wounds that grief and loss cut? These core lyrical themes are surrounded by not that typical song for Horizon Ignited. Intro and choruses are massive and melodic giving the listener a spark of hope which is then killed by the heavy verses. The fight between these two main themes of the song creates a fascinating contrast for the lyrics. The music video for the song was filmed during the band’s pre production session for “Towards The Dying Lands” album at Lammaskallion Audio in Tuusula, Finland. The video is a very raw set of the band performing the song combined with aerial footage from the same day, which turned out to be probably the most beautiful day in the fall 2019. Founded back in 2017 by guitarists Johannes Mäkinen and Vili Vottonen, the debut album “After the Storm” was unleashed when the northern winds choked HORIZON IGNITED‘s hometown of Kouvola in early 2019. The completely self-published album met very positive feedback and the band has made its mark since then. HORIZON IGNITED‘s diverse class of act − captivating and guitar-driven melodic death metal flavored with catchy metalcore elements among others.

Vocalist Maciej Taff about Generation aXe: “… one night I woke up very F***ing angry and couldn’t sleep anymore, I realised that the level of this absurdity that surrounds us has exceeded all boundaries, that it is already unbearable, that this is not a world where we, our families and friends want to live. Half the world is starving, 70% of the population of known species have died out in the last 50 years, in many places there is nothing to breathe and the so-called civilisation does not deal with anything other than earning money at all costs. We met together and it was clear we all had the same anger, the same disagreement, the same fucking anger. We decided to express it in our music, to record a 3-4-track EP, vomit all this venom. We met for the first time during the rehearsal, we started talking, playing and … after 2 weeks we were already in the studio, instead of 3 songs we wrote 11 without calculation, in full anger. I thought when we recorded it, it would “pass”…. it hasn’t passed…!”

Dariusz “Daray” Brzozowski is one of the most recognized drummers within the metal scene. Well known for his extreme drumming, blastbeats, precision and supersonic speeds, he earned his reputation through the years and was repeatedly valued for his achievements. Extensively touring the world with his bands. He played over a 1000 shows.
Born in 1980, he got his first kit at the age of 14. His story began with the band Vesania, and was continued in Vader, Masachist, Hunter, Black River. He’s also a session musician for multiple bands. Today, drumming for Vesania and Dimmu Borgir and being an active clinician and educator, he remains in the lead of worlds‘ uncompromising drummers.

Tokyo’s Thrash Heroes SURVIVE – active in the world for over 20 years – have forged their own indelible path within the jmetal scene. The new expanded and updated version of the book Brian May’s Red Special – the story of the homemade guitar that shook Queen and the world, written by Brian May and Simon Bradley has been translated into Spanish by guitarist Danny Gomez.
Commenting on the Spanish translation May said: ‘That’s a great idea!!”, and Simon Bradley added ‘Danny is the man. I have complete confidence in his ability to do a great job with this! It’s a huge job and it couldn’t be in better hands.’
This book allows readers to discover everything they wanted to know about Mays’ unique instrument. May talks about all aspects of the Red Special, from its birth to playing on the roof of Buckingham Palace, from Live Aid to the closing ceremony of the London 2012 Olympics and beyond. All this accompanied by original schematics, sketches and notes dating back to the construction of the guitar as well as a large selection of photographs including ones of May on stage with the Red Special, closeups and X-Rays.
In the book May explains: ‘My Dad and I decided to make an electric guitar. I designed the instrument from scratch, with the intention it would have a capacity beyond anything out there, more tuneable, with a greater range of pitches and sounds, better tremolo and able to feed thorough the air in a ‘good’ way.’
