Today, the eagerly awaited new studio album from Swedish war chroniclers SABATON finally sees the day of the light: “The War To End All Wars” is out NOW. Highly praised by international media, the tenth masterpiece of the Swedish metal force is determined to shake the world in its foundations, introducing a new era in the band’s remarkable career.
The band states: “With our last album, The Great War, we found that we had only scratched the surface in terms of the powerful stories of courage and bravery and also the horrors that took place during the first World War. Fans would contact us and tell us these amazing stories from World War One that none of us had ever heard of before. Incredible, human tales like the British and German soldiers who put down their weapons on Christmas Eve in 1914 to share a moment of peace and reconciliation, right there on the battlefield; or the brave soldiers who fought in the White War, some 12,000 feet up in the Alps, who froze to death and whose bodies remain under the snow to this day. These are magnificent stories about everyday people who were willing to give their lives for something that was bigger than themselves. Marrying these true tales to loud, bruising, bone tingling heavy metal? Adding a second chapter to one the most frightening and liberating times in history? Why wouldn’t we make this album?”
To celebrate the release, SABATON releases a video for their fourth single “Race To The Sea”. ‘Race To The Sea’ is a song about the decision from Albert of Belgium during WW1 to flood the last part of Belgium and with the help of water prevent all of Belgium to fall into German hands.
“Race To The Sea” is the fourth single of the tenth masterpiece of SABATON, “The War To End All Wars”, that is released today, March 4th, 2022 via Nuclear Blast Records. Once again, SABATON will dive deep into the atrocities, miracles and happenings around WWI and take the listener to an emotional and exciting ride of 11 tracks. “Race To The Sea” was preceded by the highly praised “Christmas Truce”, the massive hit “Soldier Of Heaven” and overly popular “The Unkillable Soldier”.

Symphonic death metal architects SEPTICFLESH have announced details of their upcoming eleventh studio album “Modern Primitive”. To coincide with the announcement, the band have revealed the conceptual new video for the album’s first single “Hierophant”.
“Hierophant” tells the first part of story written by guitarist and clean vocalist Sotiris Anunnaki V titled “Salvation”. It depicts the experience of a high priest, acting as a human conduit between Heaven and Earth. Having never heard a single word from the mouth of god, he grows tired of preaching the preordained words of the clergy. He turns to performing primitive and powerful rituals that have been long forbidden, as he seeks the guidance of a chaotic elemental consciousness. The second part of the tale will be revealed with the track “Self-Eater”.
Vocalist and bassist Seth Siro Anton comments “Hierophant is the result of an experiment with ideas that have been haunting our minds for quite a long time. Eventually they matured, leading us to create one of our darkest compositions ever. It is a rhythmical song with profane heavy riffing, layered with melodies that bring to mind chants from mystical ancient civilizations like the Egyptians.”
Guitarist and orchestrator Christos Antoniou states “We found it appropriate to add an imposing ritualistic element to the song. So, from the first second until the end, the orchestration is focused 100% on its grim task, to create an awe-inspiring atmosphere and put the listener at the center of this forbidden ceremony.”
“MODERN PRIMITIVE” TRACK LISTING: 1. The Collector 2. Hierophant 3. Self-Eater 4. Neuromancer 5. Coming Storm 6. A Desert Throne 7. Modern Primitives 8. Psychohistory 9. A Dreadful Muse
Today, Swedish high energy rock and roll band THE HELLACOPTERS‘have shared a video for their brand new single “So Sorry I Could Die“.
The song is the 3rd single taken from the band’s 8th studio album, “Eyes Of Oblivion,” which will be released on April 1st, 2022! Produced by Nicke Andersson & Chips Kisbye (who has overseen every Hellacopters album since “High Visibility” in the year 2000), it will be the band’s first full-length since the release of their temporary farewell record “Head Off” in 2008.
“So Sorry I Could Die” – a stripped down yet intense blues ballad that also pays tribute to southern soul in its vocal delivery – is probably the most unusual song on the album and maybe even in THE HELLACOPTERS‘ whole catalog so far. Make sure to check it out below!
The melancholic video for the song was once again directed by Amir Chamdin and edited by Emil Klinta, who were also responsible for the two previous music videos, “Reap A Hurricane” & “Eyes of Oblivion,” and had been working on several projects with The Hellacopters before, e.g. the documentary “I’m In The Band” (2021).

NICKE ANDERSSON (vocals & guitars) comments: “The album has 10 songs and although it’s obviously not easy to be objective at all, I think musically it sums up everything we’ve touched upon from the start in 1994 up until now. Some of the songs date back as far as 10 years or more, and some were written more recently. It’s rock and roll played with high energy, so for lack of a better term I say High Energy Rock And Roll. You could say it sounds like The Beatles meets Judas Priest or Lynyrd Skynyrd meets the Ramones but the best way to describe this album is that it sounds like The Hellacopters today.“
THE HELLACOPTERS were formed in 1994 by Nicke Andersson (vocals and guitar), Dregen (guitar), Kenny Håkansson (bass) and Robert Eriksson (drums). At that time Andersson was renowned in the metal scene for his work in well-known Swedish death metal band ENTOMBED and Dregen had built a reputation as co-founder and guitarist of his main band BACKYARD BABIES.
Next to THE HIVES and THE BACKYARD BABIES, THE HELLACOPTERS are considered one of the most important and influential Swedish rock bands of the 1990s and 2000s – they achieved two Gold certifications, won the Swedish Grammy and a Kerrang! Award, have amassed 100 million streams to date and have supported and toured with the likes of The Rolling Stones, Kiss, Black Sabbath, ZZ Top or the Foo Fighters. They have released seven albums, ranging fuzzed-out & supercharged garage punk on “Supershitty To The Max!” (1996) & “Payin’ The Dues” (1997) to perfectly crafted & soulful high-energy rock’n’roll with a strong vintage vibe on the following albums, “Grande Rock” (1999), “High Visibility” (2000), “By The Grace Of God” (2002) and “Rock & Roll Is Dead” (2005). A compilation of cover songs called “Head Off” was released in 2008 and marked the band’s last album before ultimately dissolving. In addition THE HELLACOPTERS have released almost four dozen singles, splits and EPs until this day, most of which got the limited 7inch or 10inch vinyl treament, making them a vinyl collector’s dream … or worst nightmare.
THE HELLACOPTERS reunited in 2016 to play a few shows for the 20th anniversary of their debut album, and have proven an unstoppable force ever since, performing at Sweden Rock Festival, Psycho Las Vegas, Download, Hellfest, Roskilde, Ilosaarirock, among others. In October 2021 they announced that they had signed a deal with Nuclear Blast Records and a new album would be in the works for Spring 2022. The first new single, “Reap A Hurricane,” saw the light of day on December 17th, 2021, and was premiered live on stage at a sold out show at Globen in Stockholm on the very same day.

Ahead of their anticipated album Statement On Death, Barcelona rockers SYBERIA have delivered the first taste of the album with the mesmerizing single “Nothing Inside.” Accompanying the track, the band shares details behind the video, track listing and additional tour dates.
Having leaned in the direction of post-metal on 2019’s Seeds Of Change, SYBERIA have enthusiastically embraced the genre on fourth album Statement On Death. Transcending their origins as an instrumental rock band, they show many more sides to their songwriting without losing their unique signature sound. Comprised of five riveting tracks spread across 42 minutes, it covers a lot of musical ground, but never once do they lose the attention of the listener, taking them through numerous textured sonic peaks and valleys in beautiful style. “On each album we try not to repeat ourselves and look for things that we haven’t done so far,” states the band.
“When we start songwriting, we never do it following a specific plan. We always compose according to what we have heard at that time, normally we record riff ideas individually and take them to the rehearsal room. Once there, we assemble the pieces of the puzzle to find the desired song, and the result this time is a record that is darker than our previous ones but with the same bright moments.“
Statement On Death will be available on all digital platforms, CD digipak, and vinyl.
