I’m hoping this new music will put some smiles on some faces in these uncertain times. My best wishes to everyone for 2022!”
Today Czech psy-core metal masters, DYMYTRY, have unleashed their sixth but first international studio album, entitled Revolt, via powerhouse AFM Records. In support of their hotly anticipated record release, the band just recently shared a crushing new music video for their excellent metal cover version of Rockwell’s classic “Somebody’s Watching Me”!
After well over one thousand concerts in their home country and frenetically acclaimed shows in Europe, five successful records to date and a platinum award for their latest release Revolter, Dymytry has opted for a step that is unusual in two respects: Revolt, originally recorded exclusively in Czech, is the first Dymytry album that has also now been released in English language, as well as introducing their new, additional singer Alen “A.L.” Ljubic.!
“We wanted to show to the world that there is great music in the Czech Republic, too,” bassist Artur “R2R” Mikhaylov recently explained. “We feel that our first English album is a very strong record, we really put everything into it.“
One of the album tracks, is the Rockwell classic “Somebody’s Watching Me”, and DYMYTRY delivers another cracker for the rock and metal clubs! As a special feature guest they got no one less than ex-Rage guitarist Victor Smolski on board, who presents a razor-sharp solo like no other! Watch DYMYTRY‘s new music clip right here:
“One day before we wrapped up the recordings for our album “Revolt”, we were listening to various songs we thought would be cool to record a cover of.” Vocalist Alen reveals. “Rockwell’s iconic “Somebody’s Watching Me” was one of the songs I always wanted to do, mainly because of the huge chorus originally performed by Michael Jackson. When we listened to it together all of us loved the idea right away. We think it turned out great and we love the vibe and can’t wait to play it live, cause we feel our fans will appreciate it too! “
Revolt practically bursts with a high-voltage energy, strong melodies and powerful rhythms driven by mercilessly modern metal. There’s every sign of a storm brewing when Dymytry, featuring its three main songwriters Mikhaylov, Jiri “Dymo” Urban and Jan “Gorgy” Görgel (both guitar) as well as with exciting guest appearances by Joakim Lindbäck Eriksson of Brothers Of Metal and Victor Smolski, are presenting its successful Revolt album to an international audience for the first time. Dymytry will continue to work with vocalist Protheus in the Czech Republic and with Alen on the international market, especially since the band think highly of both frontmen. Says Mikhaylov: “We’re really happy with how Alen has recorded the vocals on the ‘Revolt’ album. He has a fantastic and versatile voice, a broad range and really good energy, a combination which has infused our material with a new dimension and lots of power. Also he’s very passionate about the band, so we’re grateful to have him on board. Protheus is also an awesome front man with a charismatic voice, plus he’s got a huge talent for writing lyrics with a lot of depth and hidden meaning. In addition, he’s a dab hand at leading the audience.”
Revoltwas produced by Kristian “Kohle” Kohlmannslehner & Hans Koch at the Kohlekeller / Babylon Studios, and is out now as CD Digipak and exclusive Boxset via AFM Records. Purchase your album copy now at THIS LOCATION!

SHAMAN’S HARVEST and Mascot Records / Mascot Label Group present ‘Pretty People’, feat. SEVENDUST’s Clint Lowery in front of March 11th release of New Studio Album “Rebelator”. Pre-Order: https://smarturl.it/ShamansHarvest
Singer Nathan Hunt shares, “Clint and I have been threatening collaboration for a long time now. Shamans has been a fan of his work since the band’s inception, so you can imagine there being nerves going in, but it felt like writing with a band mate. We both belong to the same tribe of Lumbee that hail from Pembroke, a place where ya can’t throw a stone without hitting a Lowery or a Hunt, so we’d talk about family ties and occasionally lay down a part. He came in with a fantastic slinky riff and a theme I got behind immediately and we were off writing. The melody feels carnal and gritty. It’s a Shaman’s Harvest tune with a twist. I’m stoked for the world to hear a rock song a couple of old Lumbee dudes wrote in an afternoon in St. Louis.”
The lead single from the new studio album titled “Voices” is climbing the US Active Rock radio charts and can be previewed here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NTVgAHxyeSI. In May, the first reveal from the new recordings was “Bird Dog,” which can be heard here: https://youtu.be/UV4HdAHx8go, while “Under Your Skin,” can be heard here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IL_s0HIDZBE. The combined streams to date for “Voices,” “Bird Dog” and “Under Your Skin” are approaching 4 million plays. Both “Bird Dog” and “Red Hand Black Deeds” will be featured in the upcoming feature film The Last Victim starring Ron Perlman and Ali Larter.
The band has released six albums prior, with a combined 250 million plus streams their repertoire. The majority of those are in the U.S., with 200 million plays. Europe accounts for 45 million, with other continents amassing the additional 5 million. To date, Shaman’s Harvest has sold over 100,000 albums and 415,000 singles. At radio, the band’s last album yielded two Top 30 Active Rock singles in “The Come Up” and “Devil In Our Wake.” The prior album, and first with Mascot Label Group, Smokin’ Hearts and Broken Guns enjoyed massive success at the format with four Top 40 Active Rock singles, the highest chart position being #11 with “In Chains.”
They have toured with a who’s who in Rock, amongst whom are Godsmack, Nickelback, AC/DC, Cheap Trick, Alice In Chains, Shinedown and Seether alongside others. They’ve been a consistent draw at festivals that include Rock On The Range, Rocklahoma, Carolina Rebellion, Rock USA, Rockin’ The Rivers, Rock Carnival, and on the Shiprocked cruise.
Shaman’s Harvest is vocalist Nathan Hunt, guitarist Josh Hamler and Derrick Shipp, and drummer Adam Zemanek.
THE DAMN TRUTH – the critically acclaimed Montreal-based four-piece rock band, have announced they will release “Only Love” – their captivating new single on Friday January 14th. The single is accompanied with a colourful and innovative music video. Watch it below.
Produced by legendary record producer Bob Rock (Metallica, Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, Motley Crue, The Cult, Bryan Adams), “Only Love” is the third single taken from the band’s third studio album “Now or Nowhere.”
Says TDT’s lead singer Lee-La Baum, “The lyric, only love can keep us going, serves as a reminder that things during the pandemic are challenging, and hardships are everywhere, but if every day has a new morning and we consider every morning a new beginning, then why shouldn’t love guide it?”
“When Bob first heard Only Love on the first day at The Warehouse (Bryan Adams’ studio in Vancouver, Canada), he liked it right away but wanted us to try to speed up the tempo. Only Love started out as our only ballad on the record, but Bob had a slightly different vision. He basically sent us into the studio, and said: ‘Just give it a try, don’t think, just play it. We’ll know right away if there’s something there’.”
Continues Lee-La, “We played the song at almost double the speed, it felt rushed and awkward, but after laying down the take, we filed into the control room and listened back. It was undeniable. There seemed to be magic to it now.”
The Damn Truth embark on a 13-date UK Tour kicking off at the York Grand Opera House on February 10th and finishing at Southampton 1865 on February 25th.
In addition to the Damn Truth supporting King King on various dates in February 2022, the band will also headline their own shows including Leek Foxlowe Arts (Feb 13), Leeds Lending Room (Feb 15), Bristol Exchange (Feb 16), and Southampton 1865 (Feb 25).
“Touring the UK will make us the happiest, most excited creatures,” says the band. “The four of us are meant to be on the road, together, for life. That’s where we thrive, where we are whole. Nothing compares to life on the road and if we can just make it over there, we can begin to live and love again.”
The tour follows The Damn Truth’s third studio album “Now or Nowhere” released by Spectra Musique/Sony Music. The album, produced by legendary Grammy Award winning record producer, Bob Rock, is available from http://www.thedamntruth.com.
The first single from the album, This Is Who We Are Now, took flight in the UK with twelve weeks of airplay on Planet Rock and a spot play on BBC Radio 2’s Rock Show with Johnnie Walker. The single also won Classic Rock’s Tracks of the Week an unprecedented two times.
The band have also been championed by the British music press with extensive magazine coverage in Classic Rock, Blues Matters, Guitarist, Powerplay, Guitar Techniques, Record Collector, Fireworks, Blues in Britain, Hard Rock Hell, MNPR and R’N’R Magazine.
“We’re looking forward to touring the UK,” says lead singer and guitarist, Lee-la Baum. “Last time we played the UK was a one-night banger in London that left us wanting for more. We cannot wait to come back and hit the road in the UK.”
The Damn Truth are PY Letellier (bass), Dave Traina (drums) Lee-La Baum (lead vocals, guitar), and Tom Shemer (guitar).
February 25, 2022 will see German melodic and power metal act SERIOUS BLACK release their sixth studio album, entitled Vengeance Is Mine, via AFM Records. Following an impressive career, extensive touring schedules and five chart-breaking, critically acclaimed records to date, it will also mark the debut of new vocalist Nikola Mijic. With his powerful voice and expressive timbre, guitarist Dominik Sebastian’s rapid riffs and hooks, drummer Ramy Ali’s driving grooves and bassist Mario Lochert’s diverse songwriting, Vengeance Is Mine has turned into a prime example of a deeply melodic yet dynamic metal album!
After previously released tracks such as “The Story”, “Rock With Us Tonight” or the latest, enthralling single “Senso Della Vita”, today SERIOUS BLACK has shared a spectacular music video! Filmed in premium, Blockbuster-alike quality with a major budget, the cinematic camera shots and story showcases a commendable performance of the band and actors. Band mastermind Mario Lochert comments:
“A magnificent video, an amazing song and a sad story behind it. To say: “We are happy to release this video”, like usuall…. would be wrong!
But these are songs written by life and things never happen without any reason. Without those incidents, these songs, these ideas and also this album “Vengeance is Mine” would not exist! But exactly because of it, the band welded together more than ever before and we act like an unit!
At this point, I, we want to take the chance, to say thank you, to our team for its incredible support and work, to all those of you who were and are involved in this album ( production videos, graphics, promotion and to all I forgot), without you all of this would not be possible!
Thank you very much, it makes Serious Black proud and happy to have such an exceptional team at our side!”
Produced by i Code Film Serbia (Sabaton), you can now watch the mind-blowing video for “Out Of Ashes” HERE:
Appropriately, one of the new songs on Vengeance Is Mine, is called “Album Of Our Life” and hits the nail on the head in several respects. On the one hand, the melodic metal act surrounding bassist and founder Mario Lochert has succeeded in creating what is probably the most powerful and imaginative work of its career so far, with razor-sharp guitar riffs, grooving rhythms and anthemic melodies. On the other hand, the album’s lyrics venture into territories previously uncharted by the band. “This time, I have allowed more insights into my emotions and private life than ever before, in example into how I think, how I feel, how I am, and how difficult it can be to keep a band going when you yourself aren’t well.“ Lochert recently said.“The lyrics on ‘Vengeance Is Mine’ reflect the past four or five years. This, of course, has had an impact on the songwriting, which has become even more intense and emotional.”
Vengenance Is Mine was produced and mixed by Lochert at his SERIOUS BLACK Studio in Kirchseeon, Germany. The guitars were recorded by Dominik Sebastian at his own studio and all orchestral arrangements and keyboards were cut by Bob Katsionis in Greece. SERIOUS BLACK enlisted singer Anna Likunic from Belgrade for the anthemnic background vocals. Mika Jussila (Avantasia, Stratovarius, Nightwish) was in charge of the first mastering sessions at the renowned Finnvox Studios in Helsinki, before the recordings were polished by Konst Fischer during a second, innovative mastering process to optimise the sound. Lochert adds: “This time we really pulled out all the stops to get the optimum result. And I think our efforts have really paid off!”
Slated for a release on February 25, 2022, the pre-sale of Vengenance Is Mine is available at THIS LOCATION!

NICKE ANDERSSON (vocals & guitars) comments: “The album has 10 songs and although it’s obviously not easy to be objective at all, I think musically it sums up everything we’ve touched upon from the start in 1994 up until now. Some of the songs date back as far as 10 years or more, and some were written more recently. It’s rock and roll played with high energy, so for lack of a better term I say High Energy Rock And Roll. You could say it sounds like The Beatles meets Judas Priest or Lynyrd Skynyrd meets the Ramones but the best way to describe this album is that it sounds like The Hellacopters today.“
