To coincide with The Damn Truth’sAugust 2026 UK Tour that kicks off at The Live Rooms in Chester on Friday August 28th, and the Deluxe Editionof their self-titled album The Damn Truth (released September 11th), the JUNO Award-nominated Canadian rock band will perform a FREE 30-minute acoustic session at London’s Gibson Garage on Thursday August 27th from 2pm – 2:30pm.
The Gibson Garage acoustic session is open to the public. Entry is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Fans are advised to show up early on the day, to ensure admission to the rare and intimate acoustic performance. The band will perform songs from the Deluxe Edition of their album The Damn Truth.

Following the success of their critically acclaimed, JUNO Award-nominated self-titled album and ahead of the worldwide release of The Damn Truth (Deluxe Edition)on 11 September 2026, Canadian rock powerhouse The Damn Truth continue the exciting campaign with the release of “Be Somebody (Live at Hotel2Tango)” on Monday, 20 July 2026, accompanied by an intimate live performance videorecorded at Montreal’s legendary Hotel2Tango studio.
The live track is included as a bonus track on The Damn Truth (Deluxe Edition). Originally opening the band’s acclaimed Bob Rock-produced self-titled album, “Be Somebody” has become one of the defining moments of The Damn Truth’s live show. After more than a year of performing the song night after night across Canada, the UK, Europe and the United States, the band returned to Montreal’s legendary Hotel2Tango studio to record a new live version that captures how the track has evolved on the road.
Rather than simply recreating the original recording, the band teamed up with Charlie Agadjanian, Jordan Forlini and Zach Manni-Mirolla to capture the raw energy, chemistry and emotion that have made “Be Somebody” such a standout moment in their live set. Inspired by classic tarot card imagery, the accompanying artwork reflects the song’s themes of identity, self-belief and embracing individuality.

“Be Somebody” was the first song we wrote for our current album ‘The Damn Truth,’ and the last one we recorded,” says the Damn Truth’s guitarist Tom Shemer. “When the final mix came through the speakers, our producer, Bob Rock, leaned back and said, ‘F***, this is good!’ We all felt it. There was this electric moment in the studio. Pure euphoria!”
Continues Shemer, “Listening to that mix, knowing the record was done, I felt this wave of pride and nostalgia hit me. It took me back to those late nights writing, digging into parts of myself I hadn’t touched before. Be Somebody is the first track on our album, but it’s really a reflection of who we are, and what we became when we made this record.”

Parker Barrow is a high energy, blues-infused southern rock ‘n’ roll band led by husband-and-wife duo Megan Kane (lead vocals) and Dylan Turner (drums), and features guitarist and musical director Alex Bender. Their name is derived from the notorious 1930’s American bank robbers Bonnie & Clyde.
Parker Barrow’s compelling vintage sound features rock, southern rock, blues, and soul. Their sound is unmistakably their own. Due to popular demand, critically acclaimed psychedelic Montreal four-piece rock and roll band the Damn Truth have added a new date to their November 2025 UK tour. The band will now play Mac Arts in Galashiels, Scotland on Sunday November 16th.
Their concert at Oran Mor in Glasgow has been moved to Monday November 17th (the show was previously on Sunday November 16th).

Recently, the band have experienced airplay on Planet Rock with tracks from their latest album with the singles “I Just Gotta Let You Know,” “Love Outta Luck,” and “Better This Way.”
The band have won Tracks of the Week on Classic Rock Magazine’s Louder Sound several times. This month, Classic Rock has published a feature entitled “Six Questions with The Damn Truth.”
The Damn Truth have been championed by the British music press with extensive magazine coverage in Classic Rock, Rolling Stone, Guitarist, Blues Matters, Powerplay, Fireworks, Blues in Britain, HRH, and R’N’R Magazine.
“The Damn Truth are a fresh revivalism of the psyche music scene from the mid 60’s,” says Rock Bands of LA’s editor Jeff Laufer.
“Critics and fans alike praise the Damn Truth’s regeneration of the hard rock sound and values,” continues Laufer. “Bob Rock found a spirit within the band that he hadn’t experienced for many years. The Damn Truth have extensively toured Europe and North America and opened tours for Z.Z. Top (and partied with Billy Gibbons in his pyjamas), The Sheepdogs, Glenn Hughes, Styx, and Rival Sons. In 2021, they were special guests on Joe Bonamassa’s Keeping the Blues Alive Stream-A-Thon. They have just returned from performing on the 2025 Legends Of Rock Cruise with Alice Cooper, Styx, and others; and where the band participated in the end of cruise jam with members of Blackberry Smoke, Jason Bonham’s band, and other rock royalty.
